Our search for the origin of the smell became more frantic as the smell intensified. Finally we discovered the smoldering outlet and called the fire department. The drama intensified when the firemen arrived and tested the wall and removed a melted outlet. As soon as the hour permitted, we called Wired Electric in the morning. Ryan was busy but he made time to come to the house to help us. He quickly replaced the melted outlet and rewired the other one in the same room. He returned as soon as his calendar allowed and rewired the rest of the outlets and will return later this spring to set us up with a more efficient and safer electric box.
