A salesman was not available so I talked to another individual. He took down all of the information and put my name on a remnant slab. I waited a week and no call. I stopped by again and the receptionist took down my name and said a salesman would get back with me. No call. I call again and get transferred to the salesman who says he never got either of the messages. He takes down my information and says he'll get me a quote and look at the slab because I'm not sure what I picked and I'm not choosy because this is for the laundry room. He also schedules me for July. A month goes by and I still have not received the quote and the schedule date is in about 2 weeks. I leave a message on his cell phone and finally get the quote for $1,000 for a small remnant slab installed in the laundry room. I call to discuss the quote and end up leaving another message. No call back. The receptionist calls to verify the appointment for template. I explain to her the situation and that I am not happy. She says "so do you want me to take you off of the schedule?" Hah! I wasted 2 months screwing around with Silver City. If this is how they treat a repeat customer, I fear for new customers. Maybe my job just wasn't big enough to get any attention.

I will attach a photo. I also attached a copy of our paid granite invoice to prove I'm not making this up! The female designer's name who came out to our house with your husband, Kelly(he didn't put our cabinets in as we hired someone else and your granite installers were very impressed on how perfectly level they were)was Deanna. She did a great job for us and was nice and always pleasant when we met and talked to her on the phone. Then we left her several messages and no one at Silver City picked up her messages to let us know she wasn't there any longer.

Extremely Disappointed with Our Kitchen Remodel Experience…read more I rarely write reviews, but our experience with Direct Source has been so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. What should have been an exciting kitchen remodel turned into a long, stressful, and expensive ordeal. First, the measurements were completely off. We had to add to a wall just to make the cabinets fit--something that should never happen with a professional remodel. The quartz countertop measurements were also incorrect, and because of that, we had to purchase an additional $1,000 piece from a different company. To make matters worse, Direct Source lost our original slab, and it took over 2 1/2 months before the countertops were finally installed. Even now, the kitchen is still not finished. They sent a white backing for our green island, which makes no sense, and despite ordering pantry pullouts on August 19th, they still haven't arrived. I even paid extra for installation, yet here we are--still incomplete. We also had to remove the old kitchen ourselves, something I expected would be part of a full-service remodel or at least communicated clearly. Instead, it felt like Direct Source was cutting corners at every step. One of the most disappointing parts was that they required full payment upfront before the cabinets were delivered. The moment the payment was made, we felt completely forgotten. Communication dropped off, timelines fell apart, and our project was clearly no longer a priority. I would not recommend Direct Source, and I would absolutely not work with the salesman we dealt with again. This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and far below the level of professionalism and reliability we expected.

BEWARE. Choosing to do business with Direct Source left us in a months-long nightmare. WE LOST TENS…read moreOF THOUSANDS IN POTENTIAL RENTAL INCOME on our lake house. Direct Source is a reseller of DURA SUPREME cabinets. Although Direct Source's employees seem good, and I originally wanted to give them a higher review for their employees, as a reseller, they are only as good as the cabinet lines that they carry. We spent around $15K and it made me physically sick to see the cabinets once they came in. Dura Supreme is having major production issues. They used wood from the scrap pile for our entire kitchen. One cabinet bay had 4 nail holes in it. Whoever stained it let is pool all over, making all the cabinet edges look like they were covered in cigarette ashes. The cabinet sizes and configuration were just plain wrong and they were planning to scrap it together in a hodgepodge way with fillers. Worst of all the cabinets were completely the wrong color- not only the wrong color, but about 7 different colors! Even my friend who does low end (under $100 night) cabins said they were not suitable for her rentals and would need to be painted entirely, which would have been nearly impossible due to their ornate style. It was clear Dura had used wood from the scrap pile (heartwood which does not take stain evenly), and that no human had actually looked at the cabinets as they were totally mismatched, the wrong sizes, wrong configuration, full of nail marks and burn marks. This whole ordeal also meant we couldn't have our families over at our lake house for the entire first half of the summer, or the fourth of July because we still have no kitchen. If they were to remove Dura Supreme from their line up of carried lines, I would give them a better rating. We spent months designing the perfect kitchen, and we were very excited.  After a few days of back and forth, Direct Source agreed to give us a full refund. That was good on Direct Source, they did seem to take responsibility and be ethical even though it was Dura Supreme's fault. However, we had only paid 50% and they probably knew we would not be paying a single additional cent. My other contractor pointed out that it was probably better for them to take the cabinets back because they (likely Dura) can now resell them to some other poor customer. So, now we've been without an upstairs kitchen for four months since we had to find someone else to build our upstairs kitchen in this market - luckily we knew someone, but still, it has been 4 months, which is actually pretty fast in this market. We were also planning on using this property as a vacation rental, and we've lost the ability to do that for this time,  and with our direct lake front access and busy tourist season, this is probably around $12K loss for the month of June alone. The thing that really gets to me is the hassle of having to redesign the kitchen with another vendor, the wait, and the fact that now we won't be able to do things like return our other expensive kitchen fixtures if they don't work out with the new design because it's beyond the return period. So while I would say you might have an OK experience with the Direct Source staff, Direct Source can only be as good as it's cabinet lines, and as long as they continue to use the Dura Supreme cabinet line, they are putting customers at major financial risk. I have read the BBB reviews for Dura and apparently our $15k cabinet project was really just minor -- there are people who ordered $100k cabinets from Dura and had the same problems, only weren't able to get a full refund. Also, when we did get a refund, my contractor noted "great they are probably just going to sell it to someone else now." Probably true. So while I appreciate the way Direct Source handled it, Dura Supreme is not a company you should ever do business with and we ended up doing business with Dura through Direct Source. The Dura rep in the Flathead area was simply offensive, trying to convince us that the cabinets delivered were the same as what we ordered (see picture) and it was totally gaslighting.  So beware - Dura Supreme, the line they carry - is using piles of scrapwood for cabinets and shipping things full of defects. Dura's advertising is false and if you have a problem, they will blame it on "natural variation". Even if Direct refunds you themselves, good luck finding someone else to do cabinets in this market, we were lucky to already have someone in waiting and have a downstairs appartment kitchen to use. Still it took 4 months. You might not be so lucky. So Direct Source, you are may be an ok business, but you simply must end your relationship with one of your main cabinet lines Dura Supreme to protect your customers and you reputation. Homeowners, if you want to do business with Direct Source still, you might be ok, but please under no circumstances should you use Dura Supreme.
