He called before arriving, to confirm visit. Wanted to diagnose our AC unit, even though it wasn't a service call. Determined the capacitor was bad and compressor was not repairable. Checked our furnace and gave us a quote. I asked when and he wanted to confirm a cancellation early the next week. Called us and offered to replace our system Tuesday. Yep, Tuesday sent a message they were coming at 9 am. Nick and his technicians arrived on time and finished replacing our HVAC system by 5 pm. Very professional crew, courteous, and never stopped till the job was done. Clean up everything and hauled it away. I offered to give him a 5-star recommendation, but he said 4-star got more attention. So, here's the 4-star for an excellent installation. Highly recommended. And, he billed his quoted price.

Lacking knowledge, poor customer service. They sent over a kid whose first words were "I don't…read moreknow a lot about the problem you're having." The "technician" was on the phone the whole time with someone who knew more about the subject. He rearranged some wiring and left and within a couple of hours the upstairs was 80 degrees and the downstairs 60! He came back and just put things back to the way things were. He told us he would look into options and get back to us. Not only did we get billed for the whole thing, without a diagnosis and certainly not a fix, we never did hear back from them about potential options. The kid did return the next day, to retrieve the tool box he had forgotten behind! I did contact the owner, who was completely defensive of what had happened and completely unwilling to 1) work harder to fix the problem or 2) waive any portion of the bill for the inconvenience, lack of diagnosis, lack of fix, $400 for his apprentice to dink around in our basement for an afternoon hardly seems worth it! He also removed quite a bit of foam from our dampers that I had to replace. Save your money. What makes this all the more infuriating is that I did diagnose it myself, there was a broken motor on one of the dampers. $100 and 20 minutes later and everything works fine. The owner, as part of his dismissal, said that our system was out of date and that's why no one knew how to fix it, but the only reason we called Intermountain to begin with is because they are the ones who installed it 10 years ago and left their sticker on the system! Well what an amazing experience I had with door systems of montana! In sub zero temps I was in too…read moremuch of a hurry and smashed my garage door in because I forgot about my luggage rack when I rushed in the garage! DOH! Talk about a stupid mistake! It was all smashed and caved in and the rollers popped off. I was lucky it didn't fall on my car. I did manage to mostly close it, but I thought it was totally ruined and unfixable. The next morning, in -20 degree weather I called the two main places in town, one of them being door systems, and ended up having the most awesome conversation with Bob, who is amazing and helped me so much. I paid for emergency service instead of waiting till the next week for service, and they had a guy there in ONE HOUR!! And then, to my amazement, the tech that came transformed my smashed and non working door back into a fully functional, nearly normal looking garage door again! You can hardly tell it was smashed and bent previously! Obviously it has some dents and marks and to be perfect again two of the panels need to be replaced, but damn! You have to look hard at the door to see that! I'd almost just leave it be and not spend the money to completely fix it! It's that good. I'm impressed. My initial review prompted the company to berate me via text message essentially forcing me to…read moreremove the review. After much consideration I have decided that my experience should be shared. Pros: friendly and punctual crew Cons: sloppy work that damaged our stucco, flashing cut haphazardly, fasteners in questionable locations, heat tape placed in incorrect orientation and incorrect location, roof vents out of plumb, and poor cleaning of job site (razor sharp shards of metal flashing left around perimeter, no magnet used to pick up nails, etc). When contacted after my first review the company did not offer to rectify the situation. Instead, they became defensive and claimed that "a repair can only look so good." Other roofers in town can make a repair look as good as new and that should be the standard to which work is done.
