We hired Many from Tamber Flooring do refinish my parents staircase from upstairs to the basement…read more When we hired Many we told him we had family visiting for the summer and wanted to have the job done prior to. For starters, Many was amazing at correspondence and messaged me even if his crew was going to be a few minutes late/early. His crew came in and did an impeccable job, the detailing of their work was so concise. There were minor finishes that needed to be done and we had Many's team complete that after the visitors had left. Once his team came back, not only that they completed the job as promised but they also touched up areas that were not even his responsibility. I would recommend Many and his team over and over again. Price was also very fair. Thanks Many, Lina "Oakville"

We had a great experience with CRS! Finishing our basement was something we've wanted to do since…read morewe purchased the house and we found CRS working on another house in our neighborhood. The crew and staff were great, they answered our questions, made suggestions for materials and even improved the plans we initially had to close in the furnace area. Our basement was unfinished when we started, with a bit of work done by the previous owners - which CRS fixed and improved. We wanted to keep the open space of the main area but decided to close off the furnace and water heater, so we created a utility room. Everything else was framed and drywalled, with doors added to separate the laundry room and workshop. A new door was also installed for the cold cellar. We can often have a number of computers running in the basement so we made sure to install additional outlets and pot lights so CRS's electrician increased our power by installing a "pony" box to extend our existing electrical box. Our stairs and landing also got a makeover, CRS added proper support for the landing and closed off the back of the stairs. The only thing not taken care of was around the windows - CRS asked about finishing the window boxes but we opted not to have them finished as we are hoping to replace the windows relatively soon, so CRS left them unfinished at our request. There was a bit of a hiccup in the timeline of our renovation as we decided to install a backwater valve in our sewer pipe - something that can only be done from a plumber selected by the city, for us to be eligible for a rebate - as well as repair work to the pipe itself as damage had been caused by our tree roots. The plumber that we choose from a list of about 5 options (city selected) was not very good and caused delays. CRS was unable to continue parts of the renovation because of this plumbing company until they were done, but once those issues were taken care of, CRS was back at it completing the job. The work CRS did is fantastic, they listened to what we wanted and they delivered! We love our new basement!

If you are looking for someone who will damage your property, lie to you and claim 0…read moreresponsibility, then this is the guy for you.We had FPG Outdoor Structures complete a fence project between us and our neighbour. During the consultation we warned him that there were wires near the fence because of our hot tub and pond, we also warned him the day of just to be cautious in the one spot. Turns out his team cut the wire straight through in 2 separate spots. When I came home from work he came to the door to get paid and told me he had already talked to my wife about the cut wires, but was going to show me just so I was aware. Taking Steve at his word, I paid him for the project and figured some resolution was in place. When my wife got home she told me she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and she never actually spoke to Steve. I texted Steve to ask him about the whole ordeal and he had blocked my number. Hoping it was just an error with my service (giving Steve the benefit of the doubt), both my neighbour and my wife texted successfully, clarifying he had indeed blocked my number. His response to my wife when she asked how he wanted to handle this was as follows "Not sure what you want me to do. Its customers responsibility to have everything off fence and away from fence line. We weren't even in your back yard at all during the whole job. If it was 6 inches away from fence, it would not have been cut". I am not sure why it is my problem that you choose not to go into my backyard when I specifically told you the gate would be open or how after warning you multiple times to watch for the wires your response is if you moved it I wouldn't have cut it. I am sorry that the wiring has been there for over 10 years and didn't seem to be an issue for the last fence that was put in. We looked for a few months to find the right person to do the fence job and boy were we wrong about Steve and FPG Outdoor Structures. It is very sad that Steve and his company take 0 responsibility for something that they did wrong. I just wanted to share my experience so that anyone seriously looking into FPG Outdoor Structures gets a sense of how Steve runs his company and how he couldn't care less about anything he or his guys do. Being in the customer service industry I am not sure how this company can still operate if that is how they treat their customers. Our neighbour was interested in doing the remaining 2 sides of his property and is choosing not to move forward with Steve after this experience. If you are curious as to why they changed their name from The Fence Post Guys, go read the yellow pages review, "Devious. Didn't honour contract after initial payment (which they kept) after lots of excuses. Save yourself the aggravation." Wish I would have found this earlier.
