As incentives go, it's pretty poor. - each time I visit it seems like I see more of the store brand whiskeys and less of the other brands. Staff recommendations are clearly biased towards pushing the store brands. They alway say, "if you like 'insert name here' you'll love this!" Because I never find this to be true, I don't find the staff's opinions credible. Overall it's a good place to shop with good prices ... the main reason to visit. However, it comes with some hype that's a bit of a turn off.

Lots of vodka choices. The workers are SO friendly. The guy who installed my dryer worked at Vintage for a long time. We grilled some burgers once and took one of the guys a plate. They are THAT nice. The owner allows a guy to sell his corn out front every year. It's damn good corn too! We get a lot of mini booze bottles in the our back yard by the alley. I think it's interesting to see what people are boozin' while walking behind my home. Fireball for the win! The owners of Vintage keep their grounds very clean and I find them out back picking up booze bottles and Boxer Beer cans quite often. The store is also very clean and the workers can help you find whatever you need...they have a ton of local craft beers, which my boyfriend enjoys. They also have some clearance items every so often - you can get some really awesome deals on 24 packs of beer this way. This LQ isn't open super late which I appreciate, since I have a lot of foot and moped traffic by my house for both Vintage and their neighbor, Speedway. Yes I have a Speedway AND a liquor store 100 feet from my house, I am that damn lucky. I originally stopped coming here because the employee talked me into buying a different bottle of cognac and told me how great the price was. The price was posted in front of the bottles which was behind the counter so no one can change the price. What was strange was there was a lady complaining about a price that was wrong out in the store. He explained how someone might have changed it but they will honor the price. Then when I decided to buy the cognac, the price was $35.00 higher each. I was happy because I knew he would honor it because it had to be their mistake since there was no public access to it. But he said "no way!!" I called back the next day twice and once the day after that. Never got a call back from any manager. Very disappointed. And now I'm kind of surprised that no purses are allowed in here. If my wife comes with me and I had to tell her to leave her purse in the car, I would say forget it and we would leave. But at least now I remember why I stopped coming here and I see it hasn't gotten any better.

Keep in mind that the Elijah Craig Toasted is $50 or less everywhere else and Buffalo Trace (NOT a store pick) is $25 to $28 everywhere else and EVERY liquor store carries these bottles.
