We have been coming to this studio for 5 years for our daughter, who is now 8. We have always had an incredible experience and feel that the dances and pace are very appropriate for our daughter. This studio is not healthy for the girls. These poor girls don't learn anything and then she puts them to compete against the worst of the worst so they can look good and when there's a good school they get wiped out. Clearly everyone replying was sent by her. Little do they know I have receipts for days! Here is to debunk all of them of how there's zero bullying and what a friendly environment. Look all the screenshots I have attached from the girls group chat...those little girls are a bunch of bullies and mean little girls. My daughter started at Elite Art's Academy about 3 years ago when she was 7 years old. I was a student at Elite but had to leave because of COVID. Other than that, I LOVED IT THERE. My only complaint was the temperature. Since we were in leotards with only straps, I thought it would be warm but it was very cold. Besides that small issue, the staff was great, they saw my mistakes and improved me a lot! They taught me how to put emotion in my dance, terms in ballet, etc! I was very satisfied and coming back in January. The recitals were great and the costumes are high in quality. If you have a kid who loves dance, this is my no.1 choice! You won't regret it! read more

I enrolled my daughter (age 3), in dance classes. My child is social, loves to dance around, outgoing, listens to instructions. She was very happy during the first day "trial", so I decided to sign her up. After going 2 or 3 times, my daughter started to complain about her clothing, and it being "itchy". She kept tugging at it, and in turn, not following the class. I was looking right at the camera as it was happening and I watched the teacher (blond woman with curly hair) pull her to an area where I could not see what was going on. I do not know what happened for a minute or two, all I know is that my daughter kept crying and I had to pull her out of the class. I took her a few days later, and her behavior did not change. She was not pleased. I don't want to assume anything, but I for sure know that something happen between the teacher and my daughter, something that led my daughter to resent being around her. I removed my daughter from classes completely. At the end of it all, I lost the $40 registration, about $60 worth of uniform, and prepaid classes. I was displeased with the uniform to begin with, as it turned to crap after washing it a few times, and it also came in very limited sizes (both tutu and leotard fit oddly on my then 3 year old, who was in 98th percentile in height and weight). They also did not have any shoes in stock for purchase. Very unprepared. I don't recommend this dance studio. Waiting area is tiny. I got anxiety from sitting there along with 10 other people, as the space is incredibly small. The two stars are for staff (young lady at window was always polite, and price, it is a bit more affordable than most places----still, don't waste your money). read more

I've placed both my daughters in Elite Arts Academy for two years now, and it's been the best decision I've made for my girls. The staff is courteous and friendly, but continuously stern with the girls to instill ethics and discipline. They always make themselves available before or after class to ensure the girls have proper form and get the help they need while still having fun. Fabulous dance studio in the Kendall area. The teachers are knowledgeable, well trained, and great with the kids. The name is Elite Arts Academy but this is everything BUT elite OR professional. I enrolled my daughter in their summer camp and she has no complaints of the actual dance camp. When I enrolled her they advised she would be in dance from 9:30-4:30 but that they did have before and after care. However, when I go to pick her up at 5:00 there's nobody at the front. Ever. I wait. And wait, wait some more, just to see if someone would eventually show up. Nope nobody. I go through the rooms looking for my daughter and she's in a room with about 12 kids just playing around with NO adult supervision. Then the next day I arrive to drop her off at 7:40... The door is locked and the employee is nowhere to be found..... By this time I'm furious because I need to clock in by 8..... Oh wait here she is.... Strolling in with a Pastelito and Cafecito from the bakery next door at 7:50....... Had I had more time she would've eaten more than the food she bought. Anyways, forward to today.... I arrive and there's a sign on the door that says basically summer camp will close at 12pm today due to recitals. Nice. WTF am I supposed to do with my kid? In summary, I am NEVER bringing my child here again. This place is a joke and HIGHLY unprofessional. read more

I agree with Diana M. and Mary S. The studio is very low quality, has poor planning, does not communicate well with parents and often make you feel pushed away. Perhaps it is that most of the people working are very young. Here are my observations, and I am a trained dancer who danced professionally: teachers tend to sit during the entire class rather than actually teaching especially for the younger classes; kids seem to be teaching themselves (particularly in acro and mid-age classes); I have sat in the lobby waiting for my daughter to finish and observed on the video screen as another class literally stretches or does walkovers by themselves for an hour in class. I taught my daughter to do piroutes, splits and beginner foot positions and barre by age 3, but in the time she has been there she has not learned anything new nor even gotten to any fundamentals. The school planning is also poor: they schedule pictures while parents work, costumes are too expensive at $95, they charge a fee to participate in recitals then make you rush to buy "assigned seat" tickets for $25 each, rather than the traditional way, which is whoever arrives earliest the day of the recital gets better seats. Not even in collegiate graduations do they have assigned seats. Recital is one week away and I am still awaiting instructions from the studio. Overall, my experience has been poor with Elite Arts Academy aka Elite Dance. I don't believe they have good management or dance talent there. I do not recommend this studio. I am looking into another for my daughter. read more

My niece moved to this studio about a year ago and her improvement has been incredible. The amount of time and dedication the instructors give each student is seen when they are on stage. The studio just won 3 grand champ titles & we couldn't be any more proud. 10/10 would recommend this studio to anyone! read more

I was sold on the school by friends. The dance classes are good. So good we thought to put our girl in art classes. The teacher is attentive and knowledgeable. The problem is what they call an art class the room I believe is 5ft X 5ft in the back of a dance floor. The art classes are held at the same time as dance classes. The only thing separating the two classes is a thin drywall. I spoke to the owner her response was its ok that's how we have do it here. We have to sit on the other side of the strip mall in another facility just to keep an eye on our kids. In conclusion they are a good dance school. This may be the place for dance, but not for piano. Went today for my daughter's first piano lesson and there was only one keyboard which another student was using. I guess they wanted her to share the keyboard with the other student? How do you learn piano without a keyboard??????????? Besides the fact that it was too packed and people were pushy and cutting in front of me, then no instrument. We didn't even stay for the lesson as I pictured by daughter playing air piano. I just want to say that this studio is absolutely amazing! My sister has been dancing with this studio for 5 years and I don't see her being part of any other studio. They are so family oriented and super caring to all the dancers and their families feelings. We become more of a family than a studio. The uniforms and songs are appropriate for all children. Nothing is showey or vulgar and they have children of all ages. They receive many recognitions in competitions and have just won starbound national grand champions on their group number. My two daughters has been dancing in Elite since 8 years ago. Technique classes as ballet, pointe, conditioning , acro etc are amazing. This represent a great foundation for any dancer. They also offer tap, flamenco, ballroom, contemporary,lyrical in different levels. Elite Arts Academy is the second home for my daughters. Teachers love what they do. I used to dance here before I moved. I started early and did hip-hop. We worked hard and were thought amazingly well. The good thing was we were a family atmosphere. Our recitals were soo fun for us and our family and friends. The costumes/outfits are well made and very cute. I had the opportunity to be a part of the Elite family for about 2 1/2 years. I loved my teacher with all my heart Miss. Joanna not sure if she still worlds there. Also the photoshoots are very fun. Overall Dance Elite is a very amazing place. It was one of my first studios I danced at. The studio was my 2nd home. I love the teachers and atmosphere. Plus it's not just dance you're thought you're also thought many skills, manners and more. My daughter went to this dance school for almost 2 yrs. How did I do that to her? For 2 yrs she jumped over stars and just tapped her right foot. She didn't learn anything! The staff does not make you feel part of the studio. The owners and the staff just socialized with their group of moms and dancers. Basically with just the kids that compete. The costumes for the recitals are waaay over priced! $90.00!! For costumes that i can probably find at party city for $15. When I asked the owner if we can change costumes to something nicer , her response to me was "you had enough time to say something, its too late". Ummm hello?? pictures and seeing it in person are totally different! I didn't think it was going to be this party city look alike costume that cost me $90...Holiday recital was a hot mess!! NO organization! IThank goodness i decided to be a stage mom. If not, most likely my child would've not ate or been have been supervised. The other moms only cared for their own child and let the others starve or run around. Only good thing about this whole mess was that I made 4 good new friends, we all pitched in for the food and we all worked together making sure the girls looked great before performing. Kept them entertained and were on top of everything! After this mess of a holiday recital I took my daughter out of this dance studio. Best decision ever!!! 2 of my other dance moms left as well and took our money elsewhere. Now our daughters dances and have improved drastically! Do not waste your money here!!
