Revere Beach - Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival 2022

Revere Beach is a classic summer destination in Massachusetts that becomes particularly vibrant…read moreduring favorable weather. As the first public beach in the United States, it carries historical significance, though today it functions primarily as a relaxed, casual beach easily accessible from Boston. The beach is wide and extends a considerable distance, allowing visitors to find a suitable spot even during busier times. The sand is soft and reasonably clean, and water conditions are typical for the region. On clear days, the view of the coastline and open water makes it an effective setting for relaxation. Adding to the experience is the boardwalk that runs alongside the beach. Numerous food stands, casual seafood restaurants, and ice cream shops line the area, making it convenient to purchase food without leaving the beach. This contributes to a nostalgic beach-town atmosphere, particularly in summer when most establishments are open and active. A notable attraction includes sand sculptures in various shapes and forms, which provide photo opportunities and visual interest while on the beach. The beach can become quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays, and parking may be challenging without arriving early. However, such conditions are expected for a popular urban beach. The atmosphere remains lively without becoming excessively chaotic, and the crowd is a balanced mix of families, local residents, and visitors. Overall, Revere Beach offers a simple yet solid beach day option near Boston. It is not a luxury destination, but it is convenient, enjoyable, and well suited for spending several hours in search of sun, sand, and an easily accessible nearby location.

As a midwesterner, anytime you see the ocean it feels unreal. We strolled down the beach for hours and came back the next morning before we left. AFter reading reviews, I did't realize it had a bad rep in the past, it's totally nice and clean now. We enjoyed this long stretch of sand, shells, and water.

Both sides of the small sandy beach are very rocky almost Cliff like. This is the type of beach if you want to get away from everything and everybody it's definitely the place to hide out for a day and enjoy Mother Nature. If you like to explore bring some really good rock climbing shoes as the rocks are slippery and dangerous make sure you do not climb alone. Remember if you do not have a resident parking sticker there is absolutely no parking for blocks and blocks however with a resident sticker there are seven parking spots that's right only seven. If you're lucky enough to come here you can enjoy the view from four park benches located on the grassy area overlooking the beach. For the dog lovers please leave your loved ones at home as no dogs are allowed on this beach it is strictly enforced. I love Canoe Beach as it is one of the last beaches on the North Shore that you can count on nobody being there when you arrive. You will have a private beach all to yourself. So please remember if you plan on climbing on the rocks have somebody with you because they are slippery and dangerous. This is a great beach to enjoy a sunrise or sunset. The local police usually will not bother you on during a sunrise but they will ask you to leave as the sun sets especially if you're parked illegally. Canoe Beach easily gets awarded 5 Stars ‼
