The signage on how to get inside was a little confusing, but we found it after walking around a bit. Find the counter, order, pay, and find a seat. We ordered ham and pea soup that comes with a toasted brioche bun and senor croque - their take on ham and cheese sandwich. The senor croque was quite small portioned even with the side salad. We ordered thick cut chips with rosemary salt, it was yum but I wish there was some aioli. The ham and pea soup was really yum, but quite pricey at $15 per serve. In total we paid $46 with 2 coffees (at $5 each...). Id expect that price in Sydney not in small town. Then again Bowral is where Sydney people go on weekend so I get why they charge Sydney price. But it's annoying because they're in the country, not in the city. And the coffee was more expensive than in Sydney!

The food was fresh, nicely presented and best of all yummy. Decently priced and the service was great, all the staff we got that day were friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their face. Oh and the coffee is fantastic, I'm a coffee snob so thats a big thing for me to say its fantastic. Added bonus is after lunch we went exploring the gallery and gallery shop. If you like galleries this one is pretty good and has a ever changing display, so you will always experience something new, when you go for a look. I think this will be my place of choice when visiting the area.

I was busting to go to the toilet and the pub doesn't open till 12noon - literally waiting outside the door for them to open. We booked for 5, 4 adults and a high chair. When we arrived it was set up with the right seats, ready to go. To start we shared the seafood plate, everything was fresh and delicious. It had fried fish, calamari, crab, prawns and smoked salmon. The boys both had the linguini seafood special, MIL had the salmon and I had the chicken parmy. We'd also ordered a veggie Pattie (from the veg burger) for our son. Everything tasted great. MIL said it was possibly the best salmon she'd ever had! All that and a bottle of wine came to $200 even. Excellent lunch out!

Outdoor eating is sheltered which is good as its on a hill and prone to wind. Ammenites are clean which is a massive plus. The restaurant was packed to capacity and although this was the case, it certainly did not affect the service provided by the waiters. The food was unusual in pairing but surprisingly, all dishes ordered were delicious. I was glad I ordered the spatchcock, the most amazing paste consisting of hazelnuts and italian sherry, reduced to a very thick paste. For dessert, I highly recommend the poached quince with yogurt gelato - just quietly, I was not coping in the slightest. I could have sat there all night slowly eating through that dessert. I haven't stopped recommending this restaurant to friends and family. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed and will certainly be back (perhaps in Summer).
