A few guidelines: -No food, alcohol or glass allowed -No animals allowed -Floats, waters and foldable chairs allowed When you're setting up for the day, the further you are from the water, the flatter the land. The closer you are, the steeper it gets. As much as I'd love to trust in the people of Austin, petty theft can still happen, so keep an eye on your belongings. As mentioned, some may enjoy the water, some may not. For me, no matter how many times I tried to get in, I couldn't last more than two minutes due to how cold and deep it was! When you stand on the pool platform the vastness of the pool rushes to the forefront. Everytime I stick my foot in the water of the Deep Eddy pool, that cool refreshing feeling envelopes my body. There is no shade to speak of when in the water, so be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen. They have lockers to store valuables on site, but you need to bring your own lock. They also have dedicated dressing/shower areas and relatively clean toilets. If you don't use a locker, you have to place everything on the sides of the pool in the grass/dirt (be sure to bring a picnic blanket if you plan to hang out there at all). The grass/dirt area is nicely shaded. No beverages apart from water is allowed by the pool. Entry fees were $5/person for Austin residents. It was an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

This road extends for a number of miles. They even have signs advertising an AM radio station that plays Christmas music that you can tune into. The quantity and quality of the lights completely astounded me, and the atmosphere they created was incredible. The price of admission, which is only twelve dollars per vehicle and not per person, is actually quite affordable. They did in fact have a "Santa's Village," but it was closed when we went there, so we couldn't eat there or take our children on the ride.

While we were at the park a school was hosting a picnic for its students. The northern portion of the park is even more quiet and scenic, with winding trails, limestone bluffs, and creek views. It's a great area for dog walks, leisurely strolls, picnics, workouts, or just relaxing under the trees. The park is well maintained and welcoming to all ages. This park is very special.

Side note- make sure you rent a cooler tube and bring rope to connect it with! A speaker doesn't hurt either. There's a tent in the middle of the float where you can buy drinks and Jell-O shots, it was fun to stop there and hang with other people. At the end, we hopped a bus and it brought us back to the beginning. It was so fun, definitely recommend.

The well itself did not appear to be flowing or if it was it was flowing only slightly. The hike as you get close to the well is a little bit more treacherous, but not too bad. It's a nice that it's there for everyone to experience nature but again, very underwhelming. We spent about half an hour there which was enough time to experience the entire area.
