Robert was an excellent teacher! Very knowledgeable and patient and always gave his full effort to help me progress. I went from a complete beginner to being able to play many chords quickly and comfortably in a matter of weeks. We worked on some of my favorite songs and now whenever I pick up the guitar I can learn most basic songs very quickly. Robert helped push me to get better with each lesson. Lessons were structured according to what you saw fit to improve upon and he always had ways to help you. I took guitar lessons for 9 years with Robert. The only reason I stopped lessons was because I went to college. Robert is a patient and compassionate teacher who truly wants his students to learn. He encouraged me and also gave me many tips on how to improve my guitar playing and songwriting. He teaches music for the sake of teaching music. When I first started, I was skeptical and shy but Robert helped me gain confidence as a musician. His confidence in me helped me truly find my passions. Besides guitar playing, he also tailors his lessons based on his student's interests. I learned songwriting and basic finger-style guitar from Robert and all I had to do was tell him I was interested in it. He had also set me up with two other students so we could have "jam sessions" where we learned about each other's playing style and also learned to play with other people (very important for a musician). Robert is also very knowledgeable on musical equipment. I remember I started a benefit concert but I was so confused on the different types of microphones and speakers I needed. I asked Robert and he took out time from his weekend to meet up with me to guide me through which type of equipment I needed to rent. This only shows that Robert is 100% committed to helping his students. Looking back at these years, Robert's teaching and guidance helped me grow as a musician. I gained confidence and was no longer afraid of performing. I highly recommend Robert in helping you or your child learn guitar or bass. read more

Robert is awesome - I've been one of his students for about a year now, and he partnered me up with another one of his students.
