Update review in response to Staci's reply:
I'm so glad I caught the reply so that I can respond. Nope, it definitely was a fever that I called that time. Yes they did had pink eyes before, pink eye was another occasion which I called days in advance and if we appeared for the lesson it was because we had gone to the doctor, used the eye drop and their eyes got better. The fever was the only time I called a day before the lesson. I know this is a honest mistake Staci has thought it was.
Yes I agreed we should have gone to another teacher. I tried but didn't find another one close enough to my home I was already struggling to drive to your studio on time so I thought I'd just stay on for my daughters' piano sake. Now we are so much happier in this music school in where we've moved to. My younger daughter now plays just like her elder sister despite having started piano 2 years later than her. It's true I asked for a balance to talk and to teach, but to have different attitudes toward two children, the mother can sense it, to brush off a child can hurt her and the parent.
I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because Staci probably did not make it so bad for 1 Star.

Staci was a quiet teacher to my two children, we were pretty fine with how she had taught. But at one point I almost walked out and cut her off being my children's teacher because of her strict rule of not allowing make up when on the night before the lesson my child had a fever, I had called and said the other child still would go to the lesson but the sick child is too sick to get in the bench, so I was asking if we could get a make up because that was an unforeseen event, we could not have anticipated her fever to call 24 hours in advance to change date, that was just impossible! But her reply was cold that she cannot, it can only be a wasted paid session! Would we lie about her illness when we were going to send the other child there anyway? It would only be a possible lie if like we had wanted to do something else other than send our children to the lesson and called to lie about her being ill, right? In the end fortunately my sick child got better and braced her illness to attend the lesson instead of wasting the session. I had called other piano schools and was told otherwise, they all UNDERSTAND children do suddenly get sick easier than adults thus they do offer make up lessons. We then knew we wouldn't stay with this teacher forever.
Come September 2017 when we were moving 2 hours' drive away we notified about the date as the last lesson. I could tell all this time because my younger child is a very inquisitive child she would repeat what instructions Staci had given her, would talk more compare to my older child, Staci didn't quite have the patience for this child (who was the child with fever). Staci was very clear that she preferred my other older child who concentrated better at her lessons. At the end of that last session, it was time to say our final goodbye, my younger child had taken the later session than my older child who by this time had finished her last session with Staci. But my younger child wanted to play a last piece for Staci, she said she knew that song and had started on the keys, was when Staci rudely interrupted her and told her that she could not play that one minute song because her time is over! My child had a very sad and disappointed look on her face and all I as the mother can do was tell her that it is ok the session is over let us go. Till this day, that memory of her sadness still hurt this mother!! To think that we had stayed over a year with Staci and on our last day with her she could not even spare one minute to listen to my daughter who wants to play her a last song! It was not like we didn't have a keyboard at home my daughter could not go home to play, she just wanted to show Staci what she already learnt and can play without looking at the scores. Why would a teacher disappoint and embarrass a child like this?
If you are looking for a piano school and want the assurance that if there is no way you can give in-advance notice for your child's sudden sickness then Staci is not the teacher to go for. If you child is not the sit-still type, Staci is also not for you.
