Eleven is a Dutch-owned restaurant/cafe in central Moraira. It specialises in local, seasonal ingredients and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
As well as the al la carte menu, the also offer a set 2, 3 or 4 course dinner menu which are all great value for money. Unsurprisingly, I plumped for the 4 course menu (€22.50). We also had bread and an appetiser from the kitchen.
The set menus change on a regular basis. On this occasion we were given tempura prawns with salad and a mango dressing (tasty, but an unsatisfactory ratio of prawns to salad!), tomato and herb soup (delicate and delicious), Pork with mash potato and mushroom sauce (tasty but a little tough in places), and a parfait for pudding (can't actually remember the flavour but it was yummy). Stuck with the house wine which was also a very good quality.
The owner was very friendly and chatty, and made the dining experience extra special.
The lunch menu is fairly simple, featuring a large selection of salads and sandwiches. We also cam here for a drink one morning and I witnessed the breakfasts which look amazing
Overall, although not perfect, its great value for money, especially if you stick to the set menu. read more
