The incompetence here is staggering. Our buyer (pre-approved, mind you) used Elevations for his home loan, and throughout the transaction process they jerked him around, and by extension us, beyond all reason. Complete disorganization, lack of attention to detail and inexplicable delays were the hallmarks of this experience.
With six weeks lead time, you'd think they'd have all the necessary information and documents to finalize the sale, but at the last minute our closing was delayed five days. Twenty minutes before the scheduled time of the second closing appointment, we were delayed again. It's like they had never looked at the file since we went under contract. We were promised that everything would be in place "first thing in the morning." No surprise, it wasn't. Neither the lender nor the title agency was pursuing an answer to the problem. The buyer himself had to do the lender's job and track down the missing documents. It still took the rest of the day to finally finally close the sale, but of course too late for us to receive our wired funds. More waiting.
Again, they had six weeks to prepare, and failed woefully. Their website touts such great customer service, but this was the exact opposite. If you want to have a heart attack AND a stroke while these people futz around, this is the place for you. Otherwise, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more
