I figured it wouldn't hurt to visit Summit Dental for their evaluation of what was happening. A co-worker recommended this group and he gave me the impression from his experience that they were honest. I've only been there once, but I can say, so far so good. Cara my dental assistant was very personable and professional, Dr. Marcincin gave me the most thorough dental check up I have ever had in my life. She found the cause of my issue and referred me to Dr. Tony Kardelis in Frisco for a possible root canal, which I already suspected was the issue. She also did some minor grinding down of a filling, which by the way she kept checking in, like my beloved dentist back home, I presume she's a no pain and careful dentist. On my way out, front desk was awesome. I think it was Lyndsey who explained in detail everything my insurance covered, Delta Dental (which was the entire bill) and what I would likely be looking at at the Frisco office and how best to manage what's left of my benefits for this year. Looks like I won't be flying back to beautiful New Jersey just yet, though it would have been nice to see family. Thanks Summit Dental Group! I hope to have found a trusted office in Colorado.

Wasn't able to get through the door! Very difficult to communicate with the office, they are using…read morea third-party for the phones that does not answer the phone timely or return calls. I finally got through after multiple attempts, I verified with the representative that Avon Dental was in-network with my insurance, and made an appointment. That appointment was then canceled via text (Avon Dental truly abhors using the phone to make personal connections with customers). Through text, I was able to reschedule. Just a few days before the rescheduled appointment, I was told via text I am in fact not in network with insurance! It is such a shame when a great medical practitioner allows the front office to ruin the reputation and dissuade new business coming in through the front door. Good dentistry obviously needs a great dentist, but you cannot ignore the other business needs surrounding the customer experience. While the Vail Valley doesn't have a ton of options, if you are seeking a positive customer experience with the ability to speak to someone on the phone without tremendous frustration, I advise you to seek elsewhere!

In under two hours they cleaned up the old tooth, took images to 3D print a crown mold and cast and fired the new crown for placement. It was perfect and needed no adjustment once fitted. On top of this efficiency, they have extra niceties such as a special device to rest my jaw on while the work was performed, along with an iPad loaded with Netflix and Bose headphones to keep me distracted. Dr. Christensen, and his wife Candice, have been my dentistry go-to team for my entire life…read more(literally!). I have been to many dental hygienists when I lived in other cities, and I have never found one as gentle, thorough, and excellent as Candice. I simply won't go to anyone else for teeth cleaning. I did a teeth whitening procedure with Dr. Christensen this past spring, and my teeth were noticeably whiter and brighter by at least two shades, which was amazing! They also sent me home with a take-home whitening kit that allows me to keep my teeth in good shape on my own. Their front desk staff is professional and friendly, and even sends out birthday cards! It is so nice to feel taken care of by the whole staff at Dr. Christensen's office.
