Well equipped and great sounding large studios. The owner is super cool and made us some great sounding live recordings.

Bought some cymbals from Elevated Audio, at the best price I could find. Fran is the man. Period.

Fran's great and always gets us set up inside of a few minutes, no parking issues, very private and low-key.

For starters, the windows and posters have seen their days that one might think that it is out of business, but it is in fact not and quite the opposite - tons of space inside! They have a variety of instruments and supplies, including a cleaning swab which I was looking for. And the plus is that they also offer music lessons in private rooms - even same day! I had an initial same-day oboe lesson with Phil, and we had great conversation. However, I have to admit that I didn't learn too much, and that we spent most of the time talking. The person working at the front was pretty chill, but paying for lessons wasn't very clear from the beginning - recommend being more specific with those. Their website is via Tumblr (?) which is a surprise. Lessons were $40 / session, and they recommend one session per week (but how long is a session?). Overall, I wish that there was more clarity on this side from time to payment the moment that we signed up. Parking was fairly easy to find on the street or in the lot in the back. However, do note that parking on the street is via metered parking and not free most hours. Return? Potentially for some music books!

I will not go back and forth with you again. POTENTIAL…read moreFAMILIES can read the other 1-star reviews -- they all say the same thing. I wrote this review before seeing theirs. I was really disappointed with my experience at Suzuki Academy. We stayed for four years, and looking back, we should have left much sooner. In all that time, there was almost no progress -- both of my kids were still on Book 1 after four years. They don't teach students how to read music; everything is based on memorizing songs, which really limits growth. Scheduling was another major issue. Lessons are booked back-to-back, so if the student before you runs over their time, your lesson gets cut short. Ours often felt rushed and inconsistent. The makeup policy is also extremely inflexible. They only allow one makeup lesson per semester, so if your child gets sick more than once -- which is common -- you simply lose the lesson. They're also open on most federal holidays, which makes planning family trips difficult since there's no accommodation for that. What really sealed it for us was the way our time there ended. Despite being long-term, loyal customers, they wouldn't allow us to finish just two remaining lessons without paying an additional $200 annual admin fee. It felt like a very poor way to treat families who had been with them for years. We've since switched to a different music school, and the difference is unbelievable. My kids are finally progressing, learning to read notes, and--most importantly--they actually love practicing piano now. Don't waste your time or money here. There are far better options.
