The roofing portion took one day (large roof) and the cleanup was excellent. Siding took a bit longer but that was because the chimney firebox for our fireplace was all rotted out...they completely rebuilt and sided it at no expense to us! Again,cleanup was great. They also installed gutters (great job...guys been doing it for 28 years...a real pro. All the work was done on schedule, they showed up when they said they would, cleanup was great, and no hidden costs. I very, very highly recommend them and, as a homeowner for 40 years, I rarely write these reviews or feel this good about a company. We worked with Dave and he is THE BEST! Took care of all our concerns, was on site every day and paid close attention to every little detail. We resisted all the folks coming around looking to reside our home ( original aluminum siding 40 years old) because we didn't feel we could trust them. ARC is local, stands by their work and does an excellent job...5 Star! UPDATE: It has been a couple of years since ARC sided our home and I wanted to pay them yet another compliment...as sometimes happens in large projects like ours, small details can be left to be finished. ARC was outstanding in returning to our home to ensure every detail was completed to our satisfaction. Jim, one of the owners, personally made sure everything was done correctly and we really appreciated his attention to detail. Our home looks great, several large storms have revealed no imperfections in their work and I can highly recommend them. Unfortunately Dave, the outstanding guy who oversaw our project, has retired but I have no doubt that whoever filled his position will be excellent as well. These guys are not storm chasers...they are local, they are experienced and they do it right! Give them the opportunity to bid your job...I doubt you'll be disappointed. Definitely the place to go if you want mold in your attic…read more Bought a townhome in 2014 that had the entire complex's roof done by these guys. First of all, they didn't do a tear off, but put plywood on top of the existing roof. There was so much debris left over in the attic, as well. Guess the building went with the lowest bid, so you get what you paid for. At any rate, they closed up all the roof vents with the plywood and installed ridge venting. I suppose this would work if the intake vents at the eaves were big enough to actually suck in the air, but since the roofers installed these tiny circular vents, no air was coming in the vent the attic. As a result, there is mold growing in the attics of all the townhomes. Of the 4 units that have gone for sale, all inspectors found mold. Because of the age of these buildings, the bathrooms were not properly vented out, but vented into the attic. That is why there were vents on the roof, as the bathroom exhausts were pointed toward these openings. Because these roofers closed them up, moisture was trapped and mold resulted. I had another roofer inspect the job this company did, and he informed me that the poor ventilation from the so-call ridge venting is perpetuating the problem. So I contacted the roofers and they claimed to have NO responsibility for the mold or the poor job they did on the roof. He refused to put in roof vents and claimed it wasn't their problem. I have since remediated the mold and have had roof vents put back into MY unit, but the other 7 have not. It's so sad that this company could care less about the health of their customers and would knowingly put people at risk like this. I'm going to look into this matter further and see if legal action can be taken. Update: Their response: Hah. Tgat some of reason whay we never do a second layer of shingles. I cant provide roof warranty for my customers If i didnt remove existing layers

As homeowners we don't know how to deal with them and they take advantage of us. I worked with Sterling exteriors. The rep came out circled the hail damage and came out and walked through the damage with the inspector. He acted as my advocate and I ended up getting new siding and gutters. They just finished the work this week and it looks great. With no out of pocket cost and the rep actually added trim and a few other items on their own. The rep you deal with makes a difference. I worked with Mike O'Brien at 847-703-0299. He was great. Mike kept me updated the whole way through the process. My experience with Mike was exceptional.

I had Sterling Exteriors out to quote on some soffit work that I needed done. They came in…read moremid-September but told me to wait until the end of October to book anything because it would be less expensive. So I waited until the end of October and called. I was told that they were already closing down for the winter but that they had a guy that they worked with who would honor their quotes and do the work. They came back, did a quote, and took pictures to share with their guy. A few days later their referral came out and measured everything. Sterling Exteriors then confirmed what day their guy was going to be coming out. I arranged the financing on my own and had them back out to sign the paperwork and give the the deposit check. When I was giving the deposit check I was told that at that very moment, their guy was out buying the supplies. We were all ready to do. 10 minutes later Sterling Exteriors called back and said that there guy wasn't going to be able to do it because of "a number of issues, but mainly manpower". So they had provided pictures to their guy, confirmed the start date, were in the process of purchasing the required materials, and had a signed work order and deposit. And all of a sudden the guy who was all ready to go couldn't do it. So I said that Sterling needed to do it themselves, but was told no, they were closed for the year and that there was nothing that could be done. It's plainly obvious that Sterling Exteriors under quoted the work and that neither their referral nor Sterling Exteriors themselves would honor the pricing I was given, and that I was being given the run around as to the reason why. When I confronted Sterling Exteriors about this they stopped replying altogether. Very shady business that won't honor their own pricing even after the contract was signed.

Carlos from Canga roofing came out and identified the problem in a matter of minutes, and also discovered a 2nd vent was improperly installed. He showed me pictures and explained the metal ring around the shingles was supposed to be underneath the shingles, but they left it on top. I was horrified. The very next day someone else came by and fixed the problem on the roof but also treated the damp wood inside the attic where the moisture stains are. I have to say my anxiety got the better of me but will certainly call Canga again with future roof issues as well as recommend to my coworkers, family and friends. I can't say it enough, don't wait any longer if you have a roofing issue, even if you are not sure. One more note, I was afraid I was going to be talked into getting a whole new roof, but Carlos explained that I have at least 5 years of roof life left! Who does that???
