Get quotes from at least three companies before you do the work!…read more Express electrical was VERY FAST at coming out to give me an estimate, they even told me they could do the work the same exact day. I wanted to get two electrical outlets installed outside and switches by the front door. I looked up the parts myself and it came out to around $100 in parts. They wanted to charge me $705.00 to do the work which results in about $605 labor for two hours of work. I asked them if they could simply drop the $65.00 dispatch fee for my home being more than 20 miles away and told the guy giving me the estimate they would still make $540 labor, he told me "no". He also said "You won't find anyone else to do this job any cheaper" which was a little rude. I called and got a few more estimates and got another company to do the job for $500, saving myself $205 dollars. Keep checking Google Maps and look at company reviews, then call a few. Sometimes other companies are willing to work with you a little more and give you a better price. While Express Electrical is fast, they have high prices and don't seem to want to work with you any.

We discussed different price points & what my priorities were. Based on his information I bought the components & let him know when everything arrived. He was out the next day in the time window he gave me & proceeded to install everything needed after making sure the cameras & lights were placed properly i.e., where they would be most likely to capture motion whether animal or people. He walked me thru how they worked etc & it was most helpful. I've been working with him on another project & he's provided the pro's & cons for each step. While I was initially cranky that what I wanted to do vs what was feasible once he explained his reasoning & why it would not work. I respected his approach with me & in realizing the logistics in this situation, he absolutely nailed it. He did provide me with an alternative way & looks like that's what I'm going with. Bottom line, he's knowledgeable, really good at his job & he put me at ease. Will definitely use his services again & I've shared his info w my friends.
