I came here on a gift card and loved it so much I decided to join the wellness program. I work as a professional dancer so something always hurts. I go every other week to see Gino and sometimes Chuck if Gino is unavailable. What I love about Gino is that he is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, and is able to use his knowledge to customize my massages to relieve any pain I'm having. I have a very high pain tolerance and it's been difficult for me to find a masseuse who can really work on me with enough pressure. Gino has gone above and beyond my expectations and has really helped to get my body to it's highest athletic potential. The girls at the front desk are also amazing! My schedule can vary and change often, and they have been wonderful in booking and rebooking my appointments for me. The overall cleanliness, atmosphere, and customer service is what really sold me (and of course Gino). I have my husband come here as well and I am also about to buy a handful of gift cards for co-workers. If you're not already going here you're missing out! Also recently tried Patrice and she is AMAZING. My husband and I came together for her and Gino and we both felt so much better after. read more

In 2023 I signed up for the membership. After a year, decided to cancel it in the spring 2024. Canceling the membership takes an act of God! Emails, texts, calls, nothing worked! Still billed for months! Finally had to get a new credit card which effectively canceled my membership. Heard nothing more. Fast forward to today...booked a massage. Got confirmation texts and emails. Went to my appointment and found out it had been canceled! "You didn't receive a call?" Nope! Apparently they've been trying to still bill me for my membership and since the credit card they have is void, I have a back bill to pay before they'll book an appointment. Ridiculous! Stay away from this place! The massages are good but not worth the hassle! And don't sign up for membership! read more

Speaking as someone who has gotten massages in the past, the massage was not good. It honestly was too rough, I had aches for the whole day after. read more

Very dissapointing. My Wife went there for a massage for back pain. My Wife has had massage at many upscale spa's this is not in the same league (not even close) The staff is all about upselling you, nothing more. The gentleman she had did not listen to what she told him. After recent spine surgery she asked him not to use to much pressure and to concentrate on one area of her back. He ignored her and she left feeling worse. We do not recommend.... read more

I was very pleased with Lina. I have been having Sciatic pain. She was able to losen the muscles and I have felt much better. The receptionist was extremely friendly and the studio is very clean and has a warm environment . C.L. read more

The staff demonstrated a total lack of customer service skills. We went in a few weeks ago and the heat was blowing air conditioning. I would have preferred to reschedule had I known instead of wasting our time and money. We left frozen and stressed out. When I mentioned it to the receptionist she said there was a problem, laughed it off and then proceeded to ask if we had left a tip and if we were interested in signing up for a wellness package instead of doing anything she could to right the wrong. Also, one of our therapists smelled of cigarette smoke and spent the whole time sniffling. You definitely don't want to have to wonder if your therapist has bad hygiene when you're trying to relax. When I got the email from asking about my experience I detailed this to them with no response. Moral of the story- spend a little more and go somewhere where you can relax and enjoy yourself. read more

This place is a such a joke! They have the worst manager you could ask for in a place! Do yourself a favor and go someplace else! And their massage therapists are not even that great. Read the other reviews and you will see I'm not alone on this. read more

My son give me a Mother's Day gift car. And I was very excited to use. And I did today. I don't think this place is relax at all. I come home with a back pain, that I didn't have before. The girl the did my massage was sniffing the entire session. The room was cold. The people aren't friendly or welcome. I'm so grateful the my son was trying to give me a relaxing day. read more

Too dumb for words. Click this review for a good laugh. This is only the second time I have dealt with a business bad enough to motivate me to log into Yelp and leave a review. I called to request an appointment. The woman who answered was helpful at first, then began selling the first timer package, which I told her I wasn't interested in. I told her that I just wanted some focused work on my neck, which is very tight and in pain, and I have a little palsy in face as I am recovering from Lyme disease and thought maybe relaxing the nerves may help. I asked if they had anybody particularly good with neck pain. It quickly became obvious that the twit I was talking to had no idea what Lyme was. She asked me, trying not to sound shocked, "well, do you still have it? (I could hear the 'eww!' look on her face)". I imagined her worrying about a leper entering their crappy spa and infecting the place. I told her it was not contagious, but can cause muscle pain, palsy, etc. She said she would call me back, which she ultimately did, to inform me that they were unable to help me. She even suggested I bring them a note from my Dr. stating that I was fit enough to receive a massage... in other words "won't make us sick" or "won't get hurt and sue us" or "won't make me look at a gross person". My favorite part is that I am certain that I, my wife, and our friends are exactly the kind of clientele they are hoping to acquire in Hingham. I should be able to get a lot of mileage out of this ridiculous story at cocktail parties. Dont worry, I promise to mention you by name. Hey geniuses... you live in New England... Lyme central USA. And you purport to help people with muscle pain. You should be sending direct marketing to people with Lyme. These people are far too stupid for me to do business with. You make up your own mind. Or maybe they aren't stupid... but self aware enough to know that they are simply not good enough at what they do and decided to save me the trouble. I look forward to the inevitable response that they were only concerned for my best interests and well being... it will make the story so much better. read more

Whatever you do DO NOT become a member...Total rip off. They continued to charge me every month during covid and then only gave me 30 days to use 6 massages. AVOID!!!!! read more

My biggest complaint is the management of this place, I had put my monthly account on hold and was still charged the $70 fee when I went in to see why they told me I had already done it more than once so I couldn't do it again. The funny thing is, no one explained that to me when I put it on hold, so my next move was to cancel altogether which I did on Feb 2nd. And now here it is March 1st and I got charged again! I called and got the manager who told me that the termination form I signed said I would be charged once more which is ridiculous because I asked the woman who had me fill out the form if I was going to have any more charges to which she promised me I wouldn't. There customer service is really bad, especially being in such an affluent neighborhood I would think they would treat their clients better but apparently that is the wrong assumption. They are sneaky and dishonest and I will never go back again. Keiko is the only reason I kept going back, she is amazing and I will miss getting messages from her. read more

Came here for my bday. It was very relaxing and Dianne was a gem who took her hands and kinked our all my tension in my arms and neck.

Each time we've scheduled there has been an issue on their end. Therapists changing schedules, cancelling with no backup to replace them, they overbook their members and clients and can't maintain appointment times. If you don't work and don't keep a regular schedule, don't have kids or any commitments this place might work. Sadly for anyone with a job or other commitments they will take your money and be unable to fulfill their appointments. They are essentially stealing from members. I've waited 3 months to get an appointment with them just to have them change that one appointment on me 3 times! I don't know how long they will stay in business selling services they don't actually give. Imagine paying money to order a sweater from a catalog and the company says oh thank you we are out of that sweater though and actually won't ever have it. You'd expect your money back and an apology. None such happens here they just offer to book you another 3 months out for another appointment they can't follow through on. Beyond unprofessional and I should've known better going to a chain. read more

This was my experience : "Good morning I'd like to get a massage today" "Ok I have a 1015 and a 415" "Oh shoot I can't make either of those" "Well that's all I have" Terrible customer service. Good thing I wasn't a secret shopper. She'd get a zero read more

I received a deep tissue massage from christian here. I had recently stopped going to my old massage place since new people took over and was very pleased. Christian was very professional and I like deep tissue massages and she gave me exactly what i signed up for. The environment was very relaxing and comfortable. The only thing that was out of Christians hands and bothered me a little was that I had signed up for one of the first appointments of they day and since I was a new client and needed to fill out paper work before my massage I was asked to arrive early. When I arrived early the staff was not present yet and I ended up having to wait at Panera Bread next door until the key holder showed up. read more

Had a massage here recently and it was a very pleasant experience. I'm a little sore after but it was a deep tissue massage so that's to be expected. The movability in my neck is so much better than when I walked in though. The space itself was very relaxing and the massage itself was great. They will try and sell you on the wellness program but two "no thanks" seemed to do the trick. The water and chocolate after was a nice touch...will definitely be back, just am not into committing to a monthly program. read more

I've never had a massage before, but I finally decided to go after suffering from back/neck stiffness/pain for the last five years. I called on a Sunday morning and I was able to get an appointment for that afternoon. The masseuse was incredibly nice, especially since I honestly had no idea what to do once I got there. The deep tissue massage was great! It felt a little strong at some points, but again, I had never had a massage before. The environment was very relaxing - dim lighting, temperate rooms, soothing music. I was also given a water on the way out! My only issue was the hair at the base of my neck and my bangs were quite oily afterwards from the massage oil used. However, since most of my issues were neck-related, I can understand how that would happen. I'll certainly have to return a few times before I feel completely better, but even in the car outside, I had a very easy time turning around to look before backing out (which means a lot for me). I'm sure I'll be returning to Elements Therapeutic Massage. read more

I have gotten massages from almost every where in the area. Rachel gave me the best massage ever, she was very knowledgeable about how my body was so achy and how to not only massage it better but also gave me great advice on a few small exercises that would help me to prevent from these aches and pains in the future. I almost felt as if she was my personal physical therapist. And to top it off, she absolutely loves giving massages, and it surely shows in her work. I have now signed up for their monthly plan just because of her treatment! I look forward to many more massages. Highly recommend Rachel and Elements Massage, the manager was also very courteous, friendly and helpful. 5 stars!!! read more

THE WORST. First impression the waiting area is not particularly clean or inviting. The staff at the front are in a word inept. Despite a lengthy and thorough discussion of having two in for a message, which necessitated a change of time to accommodate the need for an additional masseur, our appointment was lost. We were informed that it was our mistake. No apology. As such I can't review the massage read more

A litany of reasons why they have a 2-Star rating from me. I could go on forever, but poor customer service at best to start, plus an oversold membership environment are reasons to start. Of course they'll deny all that as any poor business owner will. Real business people correct the issues and satisfy their customers (even empowering employees to do as well) ... just another massage establishment that will soon be out of business in due time over the next couple of years. Their high turnover rate of therapists and the inability to schedule a 90-minute massage schedule, even months out, compounds my dissatisfaction. My Wife and I would always look forward to our 90 minute sessions until they oversold memberships. We can't even get 90 minutes on a weekend, let alone at the same time now. They continually counter by offering weekday potential for 60 minutes - a) we have careers, b) if I wanted 60 minutes I'd have asked for it. Their cancellation policy, or any business using a consumer cancellation policy is customer satisfaction at the poorest level. Imagine contracting the flu, and with a 10 hour notice given to Elements that you must cancel, their response is "we will have to charge you a $35 cancellation fee if we can't fill the spot" ... so I countered with well "can I charge you $35 for each of the times you either changed therapists on me or cancelled me same day?" .... THEIR ANSWER ... Crickets! read more

The best money I've spent on a massage in a long time. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck give Elements a shot. They offer introductory rate massages and if you enroll in a monthly membership you can continue to get massages at a discounted rate. The customer service from the reception could use a little help, but they are receptionists; take it for what it's worth. The therapist I saw was Patrice she was super sweet, extremely knowledgeable and professional. The spa itself is updated and very clean. I am sure this will be my first of many massages at Elements. read more

I have never written a yelp review in my life and today Im actually angry enough to do so. I bought a membership at this location and I truly regret it. The massages have been subpar and now for the FOURTH time, on the day of my appointment, they've called me to cancel. I bought this membership hoping to relieve some stress and some how they managed to create more. Ive only been in this location three times but some how have ended up having the manager apologize to me over the phone about 4 times for various mess ups on their end. All four times they've done this they always promised comped massages for my inconvenience ...which I never received. absolutely terrible experience and I wish they would just refund my money so I dont have to go back or take the loss read more

I was pleased with the availability of appointments on just a couple days notice and the fact that they are open so late. It wasn't the best massage I've ever had, but not the worst either. I have been a member of elements since I moved to Hingham, I have had a lot of massages from a lot of therapists they come and go. Most were pretty good. Alittle over a year ago I was introduced to Gene he is the BEST therapist in this location, I try to go every other week and book my appointments w him weeks in advance because he fills up very quickly. He knows his stuff more than any other therapist that I have ever had anywhere including the elements in the Hingham location. Gene is definitely a keeper, also Nicole at the front desk is a pleasure to deal with always in a good mood and always a smile on her face. Keep up the great work Gene and Nicole! read more

I just got a gift card for Christmas from my mother, so I booked an appointment. Once I showed up you fill out a sheet with client information then the masseuse come out and take the sheet and takes you back to your room. When handing over the sheet I handed my masseuse the gift card, but she told me to hold on to it. After the average massage, the masseuse told me to just head out the door, so I left figuring that she knew I had the gift card. On my way back home I receive a notice being charge for my massage. I was furious. The neither the office staff nor the masseuse informed me that I needed to check out! read more

My third time in this place. It used to be just ok. Nothing special. This time was different. The woman on the phone was incredible. I purchased a Groupon for Element Massage..This is one of the worst experience, they are pushing the membership, which I am not interested unless I am impressed with the facility and massage. Nothing special about the massage, When I booked my appointment they said it was deep tissue. it was gentle and barely effective. The worst part of my experience: as I was leaving, the receptionist shouted, "DID YOU TIP YOUR THERAPIST"! How humiliating and distasteful. Why assume we are uncouth and cave dwellers..They have signs in the waiting room with a chart for tipping. Would a cashier in a restaurant shout, "did you tip your waitress". The receptionist's attitude is unsincere. And yes, I tipped the therapist as she was waiting outside the door read more

I've been a member at this Elements Massage location for over a year now. The quality of the massage is, as always, dependent upon the skills of your massage therapist. I've had some that were pathetic, others that were OK, and others that were quite good. I found one massage therapist who was innately skilled at her craft, but she left suddenly and I had to find another. The group seems to be quite transient - definitely the downside of this place. Of a more annoying nature is the manager of this location. I purchased a gift card for my employee some time ago (the location pushes these from time to time), but was NEVER informed that the card can only be used that that location. My employee lives about 45 minutes away in the suburbs west of Boston. These Elements Massage businesses are all over, including in the western suburbs; however, don't be fooled, their gift cards are not acceptable at other locations. I have been asking for some consideration here, and the manager suggested at first that it MIGHT be possible to work out an exchange with another location. Then he stopped responding to me. The last message I received from him was 1/2/15, and he is now, once again, ignoring my emails. I cannot imagine why this business owner keeps him on as manager because he does no good to their clientele. Bottom line - don't expect a professional response from the manager if you ever raise a concern or have a complaint! read more
