The only place that comes close to Alchemy & Aura is Crystal Connection (no longer exists) and AromaG Botanica in Nashville, Tennessee. Ezra assisted me in finding items I needed and was very patient and thoughtful in answering all my questions despite being very busy assisting others. I loved how they created a sense of arrival in the store with two trees at the entrance area with a crystal chandelier hanging between them, eye catching displays, and a large dining table with chairs. The tarot & oracle deck selection was massive. Some of the decks were not available for sale online. I purchased three large Oracle decks on clearance for $12-$15 each, a dragon incense holder, oudh incense, nag champa cone incense, and got two books from exchange chest there. There were many items I wanted to purchase yet considered buying them later.

I loved the openness of the space and the convenient parking directly in front of the shop. It's easy to get comfortable in here. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that some cards have testers. Photography by 3Spade7Star @3Spade7Star_photography…read moreJanuary 25, 2026 - Sunday Madame Meerkat's Cabinet of Curiousities is a delightful spooky & eclectic metaphysical shop to visit in Wilmington, North Carolina. I only had a hour in this store before it closed. Not enough time to see everything, yet I had a pleasant time browsing items in this store. The store has a skeleton in a chair greeting you at the entrance and a meerkat as its symbol & mascot. A meerkat is a mongoose from South Africa. The lady at the shop was very kind and gave me a sticker of the shop. I saw on the sticker a meerkat dressed in Victorian clothing. Inside the store is an enchanting tea & coffee bar. After scanning the teas offered in the store to drink today, I wish I had sampled the DRAGON'S HOARD, SMOKY BLACK TEA they had. It has a blend of Black Tea, Lapsang Soushong Tea, Cocoa Nib, Allspice, Cinnamon, Cloves, Carob, Calendula, Cornflower, and Safflower. Lapsang Soushong tea is my favorite tea and has a unique smoky flavor. Very difficult to find and only in specialty high end grocery stores or teahouse places. I purchased two dragon bloodstones for $3 each before the store closed. The store's highlights: A tea & coffee bar with unique tea blends and a sitting area to drink & converse. It was the first time I ever saw and found a bone throwing divination kit for purchase in a store. It had a scan code beside it to learn how to use the bone kit as well. They offered small kits for $9.99 and large kits with an instruction book for $39.99. If you want a ready made divination kit, these are ideal. Most of the items in the store had scan codes to link you with information of the merchandise being sold. The store has an assortment of occult jewelry with Lilith sigils and rare occult symbols. I never see this in a metaphysical store. The bookshelves area has a LBGQT & Sex Magic section. Wild! The sticker with a meerkat - a great idea to give to store patrons and definitely makes the shop visit memorable with this unique memento. Kind & helpful customer service Madame Meerkat's Cabinet of Curiousities is the place to see if you want to have a one of a kind experience in a metaphysical store.

They sell and make Snowshoe share teas which are fabulous. I had a summer solstice iced tea made fresh and it was absolutely delicious and so refreshing. I love being able to pick up a high quality tea like this at a local place. Their soaps are great and I enjoyed meeting Juniper who was working there. They have tons of incense, crystals, candles and so many "curiosities" that no one else in town has.

The store is spacious so make sure to set aside a good amount of time to look at everything. Products range from plants to gemstones, incense, jewelry, products from India, health and beauty products to books on astrology. It would have been cool if they had more books and items about witchcraft/magic and spells, hence its name. The manager said they do plan on getting more of those kind of items as well as others. The staff were welcoming and the owner was knowledgeable about items I had questions on. I ended up purchasing an incense powder, which was promoting love and attraction (not for me, it's a gift) ($6.50, 20 grams) and a vegan eucalyptus shower fizz with a tiger's eye gemstone hidden inside ($9). There were other incense powders that promoted different things, such as clearing negativity, spirituality growth. The incense powder had written instructions on how to use it, where essentially you pinch the powder to form a mound or cone shape and then you light the tip. The manager also had some other tips on how to use the incense powder. Since it was the grand opening day, there was a 10% discount and a cute free pen. They will continue to offer coupons/discounts so make sure to check their website or Facebook. I liked that the items I purchased was packaged in a pretty blue gift bag with purple tissue paper. Some of their items were pricey but many of them would make unique and thoughtful gifts.

If you're in the area and in need of something for a spell or two, this place is a godsend, for sure, given how limited the options are. However, in comparison to other spiritual shops that I've visited across the country, there are a few things that I didn't particularly care for when visiting Labyrinth Walking. The first was that you are required to check your bag/purse when you arrive in the store. I get it. I really do. Shoplifting is a thing, and if you own a shop, you want to do everything you can to counter this. Still, this isn't a practice that I've seen done anywhere else, and it was a tad off-putting and made me a little uncomfortable to have my purse, wallet, etc. all taken from me during my visit. Even after all of this, I felt as if some of the staff were implementing "anti-theft" approaches to customer service during my visit. There were quite a few staff on-hand that day, so maybe they were just board and genuinely trying to be helpful, but I felt like I was almost being followed and monitored with how frequently they "checked in". In such a small shop, it honestly made the simple art of browsing and feeling the energy of certain pieces really challenging to do. I also found the prices to be a bit high compared to other stores. The location also makes parking a little bit tricky at times. While there are definitely pros to this space, it's not one that I'll go out of my way to revisit any time soon. Something about the overall energy is just...off.
