I wanted…read moreto learn how to style my locs so that I have cute styles instead of having to always resort to putting my locs in a ponytail. I am so glad that I went to the class because it was individualized and styles were created based on the length and size of my locs, as well as my personal taste. Not only did I leave with new styles that I will be trying this week, but I also left with an unexpected goodie bag with hair pins, hair rubber bands, a head wrap, etc; basically everything used in the class and more! I would highly recommend booking a loc styling class with Zee! The cost was affordable and the hands-on experience plus goodie bag was priceless!

My hair color was a train wreck, and I really wanted to go out for my birthday that night feeling confident with a new, bold look. I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to say that Master Stylist Vivian, Lily, Anthony and Danielle all made my dream a reality. The photos show the absolutely CRAZY transformation of my hair under these skilled stylists. Instead of wanting to put a bag over my head, I am over the moon when I look in a mirror now. Vivian has been doing hair since the 1980s, and she is truly a GENIUS. She was careful, ensuring that the bleach did not fry my hair, and she had the best ideas. It was a long process, of course, but worth all of the hours in her chair. If you need a hair miracle or a color correction like I did, I HIGHLY recommend Vivian and her team at Salon Arcaro without any hesitation. She KNOWS her trade, and she's TRULY a Master of hair ‼

You are in and out with a wonderful feeling of self. Your hair is silky straight with out the long arduous flat ironing of the hair. You don't have to endure the grueling heat and pulling of the blow dryer combing through your hair. My hair is thin. I can't comfortably sit through the constant heat of the blow dryer combing. Since my hair is thin, she pin curled it so the curls wouldn't fall in the intense heat. What a unique experience for women and girls of color. She charges according to the thickness and length of your locks. I felt her pricing for Mom and I was extremely reasonable. Thank you Ms. Jossie for the Dominican experience. It was intriguing!!!!!

Observations and opinion: I went to this beauty school. The price for service is very affordable…read more You have two options for payment. Check the hours that the school is open and arrive early. The wait time and service are based on the type of service that you are getting and the availability of the students. The students get a lunch hour. You pay in advance for your hair service. One time I went, I wanted a finger wave hair style, none of the students knew how to do a finger wave hair style. Make sure you have a "picture" or "explain in detail" how you want your hairstyle, so you will not be disappointed. Customer service skills, being attentive, prompt service, and professionalism is cruel from the staff to the students when serving a client. I saw a student get an "attitude" because a client voiced "her opinion" about her hair. At one appointment, my hair was not gel down, rush to save time since I had been waiting all day. My service slip was not written up until one of the instructors came and reviewed the appointment slips on the counter and noticed I had been sitting for a while. "No apology for the wait!" My hair did not last four days. I was so disappointed. The student needs to be versatile when it comes to knowing how to style different hair styles. This is important if they are going to work in a salon or own their own hair salon someday. Discuss personal complaints somewhere else regarding your job and not in front of the client. There are a lot of older people who come to the school, be mindful of the "type of music" that you play! Everyone does not want to hear "hip hop" or "rap" music.

He didn't even know how to use turn on the hair dryer! Thank God one of the instructors came by to rescue me. It's pointless to complain because they're students. The instructor will berate them right in front of you. Awkward! Besides, they're paying tuition so it's not like they'll get kicked out or anything. The atmosphere is a lot like high school. It's a pretty laid back with the radio in the background. Everyone appears to be having fun. Just remember to get here before 1pm for any chemical services (color, relaxer etc.) Prepare for at least a thirty minute wait on a Friday.
