Wanted a change for hair extensions K-tip versus weft. The consultation lady was pleasant, good sales lady! Ordered $1,000 worth of extensions, was told 4 packs, not detailed on receipt I was given. Also told $400 for installation including color and styling every 4 months, so $1400 every 4 months versus paying monthly $375 and hair good for about a year. I thought I was going to save $100. The day of the installation when she grabbed the boxes, she said it was only 3, that she was confused with someone else , red flag! then at cashier, was supposed to pay now $800 installation + tip, not the $1400 quoted initially, more like $1800 + tip. I have an elephant memory, but I don't like my intelligence to be insulted. So if you insist on going there for a consultationor whatever, get everything in writing and detailed or you will get surprises, unless you don't care and have a bottomless budget. i always trust and verify and like to receive what I paid for. I was promised the invoice showing the number of packs and never got and she mentioned a "paper" where everything was written down, no such thing! just the receipt for the $1,000 extensions and no quantity. So be careful! read more

Madisen listened to what I wanted to achieve with my hair cut and color. I was very happy with the end result. She was very professional and personable. I will definitely be back! read more

The color turned out great and they took off the length I asked for, but I'm really unhappy with how my curtain bangs were cut. They're uneven and way shorter than intended, and just not blended whatsoever. I really wish the stylist had been upfront if bangs weren't their strong suit. I would've much preferred honesty over having to live with a bad cut for months while it grows out. Posting this so future clients know to be very clear (or cautious) when it comes to bangs. read more

Do not see Kelsey unless you want someone inexperienced and want someone to ruin your hair. I'm also missing a chunk of hair underneath. I still had to pay for the the products used to ruin my hair. Manager was unavailable and left a message to say I can come in and see someone else but would have to pay again. AVOID!! read more

I always have a great experience, the entire staff are so accommodating and nice. I see Dominique for my hair every 4 weeks and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else:) read more

The good: price was ok and they didn't destroy my hair The not so good: I asked them to ensure no grey around my temples. They ignored that even though I incessantly repeated this. I asked for highlights and lowlights and though I was charged for both, it looked like my hair was one solid color. They toner/shampoo person kept saying they aim to please so say something if I didn't like it. I did say I didn't like how the grey was not addressed at the end and they brushed me off. I don't recommend this place. read more

Warning do not come here!!!! UPDATE I finally spoke to the manager who said they won't offer me any refund or adjustment service because I left a bad review. Well you wouldn't do that before I went to yelp so that's just a lame excuse. All around terrible service and management. Don't bother coming here ever. This place may as well shut down. The manager is avoidant and a liar. I've been debating since last week when I got my haircut to complain but I just feel I have to, i am really disappointed with the quality of service I got. My hair is so choppy it barely looks like I got it cut, it's uneven. Just all around a bad job. I always get nervous at new salons for this reason. My friends told me to go back to get it fixed but I honestly don't even want to for fear of making it worse. On top of that it was $51 and not $39 like the site says, however I wouldn't have paid $1 for this had I known what it would look like. Apparently it was the higher price because the stylist was a higher level, but wow I wouldn't want to see what the cheaper cut looks like. They also said they would call me to figure something out and never did. Don't bother coming here unless you want it to look like a three year old cut your hair read more

I made a last minute haircut appointment. My hair is very long and thick and can be hard to manage. Skylar immediately had ideas what to do with my hair. She gave me a nice cut and beautifully styled it. The receptionist was very sweet! Everyone was kind. Can't wait to go back for color! read more

Been coming to visit Alex for about 5 years now. She's fantastic. I always feel so welcomed here

Would not recommend. Unevenly cut my hair. Asked for my neck to lined up, didn't happen. Way overpriced for the 10 minutes they took to try and cut my hair. read more

Coming here was great. Got an actual hair cut and dealt with folks that enjoy there job..

Very unprofessional, I went to fix my hair and the stylist was unwelcoming and unfriendly, and kept looking at my hair and saying oh wow, then she goes talk to another stylist about me while she was with a costumer and both the costumer and the stylist turn and look at me laughing. I just left because she didn't like working with me for some reason. read more

I went in recently to go from blonde to brunette and Kelsey did not disappoint! I've been to her the last 4 times or so and each time I leave happy with the service I've received. I will have to disagree with the post below. My hair has never looked so healthy since I started going to Miss Alex! She has helped me in achieving my goal with growing my hair longer. Any time I tell Alex what I want to do, whether it comes to cut OR color, she always does exactly what I want and more! It's hard to find a friendly welcoming salon with ladies who will actually do what you would like, and not what they would prefer. I have been going to Alex for over a year now, and I will continue to. Element 54 is a wonderful salon, and I would disregard such a negative review. read more

Love this salon, everyone is so friendly from the front desk girls to the stylists, great customer service! Always leave feeling beautiful!

Love Alex at Element! The staff are kind and take great care of the guests. Fresh coffee, water, soda or wine with you service? After 3 yrs of being in Tampa, I've finally found a great salon. I went in for a wash, haircut, and style. It was exactly what I wanted. Shonda was friendly and professional. I will definitely be back! read more

First time I went here was to get an ombre done. I've never had my hair bicolored so I was very nervous but the stylist who worked with me, Alex, kept reassuring me that it'll turn out beautiful. Given that I have no experience with colors when it comes to dying my hair I told her that I wanted something very natural and not too light and from there on out I trusted her and in the end my hair came out BEAUTIFUL!! I am definitely going back for a haircut and would recommend this salon to any of my friends. It may be pricey but in the end the quality and service is phenomenal and worth every penny. read more

New favorite salon! I called on Monday and was able to be seen Tuesday. One of my favorite salons in the US, and I have been to a lot - from living in different areas and traveling. Alex is super sweet, friendly, patient, and great at hair. I have long hair that likes to tangle and she is gentle with my hair. All of the girls here are nice and fashionable, and I am consistently impressed with their work that I see posted online and when I am in the salon looking at other patrons. Every time I come in, the salon is very clean, spotless. I can tell cleanliness really matters to them. Also like the overall design of salon, colors, floors, etc All of the girls that work the front desk are very nice and do a great job. Thank you for always offering me a drink when I come in, and asking me about my experience that day. I love the chairs used while being styled and the washing bowels, both very comfortable, unlike other salons that choose the "trendy" choice of chairs over the actually good for your back-shoulders-neck choice. So nice being able to leave the salon looking good, feeling good and not with an aching body :) Also like that they have Redken AND Pureology products. This is the salon to go to if you live in Land O Lakes, Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Odessa, etc. I had tried a few other places near by before and Element 54 is heads and shoulders above the rest. Professional, clean, and friendly! read more

Wonderful experience each and every time I visit. My stylist, Alex, is amazing with my hair, as well as my 9yr old daughter's hair.

Andrea did highlights and lowlights all over for me. The color turned out great!! She did an amazing job. I will definitely go back.

Element 54 is a hidden gem. I see Alex there, and will keep going back because of her. I'm so thrilled with how well she cut and styled my hair that I want other potential consumers to know! The salon itself is very clean, upbeat, and efficient looking. Happy clients and employees filling the place. The stylist Alex, though really did a fantastic job at giving me what I want for taming wavy and voluminous hair where other stylists have attempted and failed. Alex really listened to what I want and looked at my hair from several angles to assess how to best cut my hair according to the texture and volume that I had. I could keep raving about all the compliments I got in this review but it would take a while. Very satisfied customer and wanted to make sure I took the time to give credit to Alex and Element 54 as a whole. I will definitely be back and am glad I found this place! read more
