We were so glad we hired Elegant Events for my daughter's renaissance wedding! They are a husband and wife team and everything they do is first rate and has that personal touch. Elite Entertainment and Bridal Salon really came through for our wedding 6/15/19!! We loved everything about the services we received from them!! The services that we had used from Elite: 1) I bought my wedding dress and veil through Elite Bridal and my mom bought her Mother of the Bride's dress- my mom and I had so much fun finding my dress there- they have COUNTLESS options for all budgets and styles! If you book an appointment in advance I know there is the option to have a VIP experience, I decided to save some money and just went with a regular visit in the afternoon, during the week, and still felt like a VIP!! All of the ladies at Elite Bridal were wonderful and very easy to work with! 2) We did limo through Elite Limos and originally booked the Escalade limo, for a decent price. However, the Escalade had an unfortunate incident with a deer the week before our wedding but Kaitlin & Ryan were very kind and offered to upgrade us for free to the Party Bus or Hummer Limo- we chose the party bus and it was fantastic! 3) We chose to have our DJ through Elite Entertainment and Jeff Blankenship wound up being our guy! We received so many compliments all night on how awesome the DJ and music was and how no one had ever seen so many people on the dance floor through the whole night! Everyone is talking about how much fun they had at our wedding and I think Jeff & Elite Entertainment had a lot to do with that!! Thank you!! 4) We also chose to do Chiavari Chairs through Elite Entertainment, and they were beautiful!! I received a lot of compliments on how pretty they were and really added to the ambiance in the room! 5) Stacy from Elite helped us order tuxes through Jim's Formalwear and all of the tuxes looked great on the guys and they said they were very easy to order. Many of them needed to order them from out of state or far away (more than half actually!) and they also said it was a very easy process. My husband actually needed a different size jacket and vest when he received his in the mail and when he called Jim's Formalwear to get the new size it came in the mail very quickly TWICE!! He received it in the mail in plenty of time for us to get married. All in all- we would choose Elite all over again for the quality of service that they provided. Every interaction that I had with them via e-mail, phone, or in person was equally as personable and helpful. I have heard that some people in the area don't go with Elite because it's too "pricey" but I disagree- if you choose them for multiple services then you end up getting discounts galore! We actually saved money by going with them for so many things AND received high quality and trustworthy services! We ended up having severe rain all day during our wedding and some things needed to be moved around last minute- my aunt who was acting as our day- of coordinator on my behalf said that Elite was very easy to work with and that between her, Kaitlin from Elite, and Caitlin from the Regent (our ceremony and reception location) everything was taken care of! I purchased my dress at Elite Bridal next door and we got tuxes, uplighting, linens, chiavari chairs, and chargers for our ceremony and reception. They also have tons of outside vendor recommendations. It was beyond helpful to visit Elite's showroom to view different product options. I didn't have a clear vision of what I was looking for so it was great to view what they offer in person. Elite's customer service was second to none. They responded to my many e-mails within minutes and always had helpful suggestions to make things easier. read more

Elite provided awful service for our friends daughters wedding in our opinion . Landon was the DJ that evening and we feel he really dropped the ball . Names ( simple ones at that ) were pronounced incorrectly . Requests were not played . We witnessed the bride and her mother and the best man all talk to Landon several times to no avail. Customer service was horrible for the family who made several attempts to contact after the service . I held off posting my review until the matter had been settled . Sadly they made the bride cry when she saw yellow lighting in her photos . I brought the lighting issue up to the brides mother who had it corrected. The owners said no foul since the changed the lighting before guests arrived . I'm the guest who brought it to mothers attention and the room was full of guests . Professional Photos had been taken . My husband and I got married this past November and chose Elite Entertainment for our DJ. Kaitlin and her staff were incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable! Their online planning guide and song request system were great - my husband and I had a lot of fun picking our songs! On our big day, our DJ, Vaughn, arrived on time and already had everything we needed. The music for our dinner was well received and everyone had a great time on the dance floor. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! We had booked Elite Entertainment for DJ and photo booth services for a wedding reception because I had bought my dress and the bridesmaid dresses with Elite Bridal (THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST) and had discounts . However, things didn't go as planned. We had to reschedule our reception due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Also my husband is in the military and had travel restrictions on him as well. When we went to change the date to a few months later Elite Entertainment was adjustable and understanding. However, later on we ended up having to cancel the reception all together because COVID 19 did not get any better and the military was not letting my husband travel so we could not make it - we do not live in Illinois but choose Champagin Urbana area for a reception due to family being in the area. I called Elite Entertainment to cancel over the phone. Ryan Mennenga, the manager was so RUDE!!!!!!!!!!! I explained that due to the pandemic and the military's response we were no longer able to have our reception and we would like a refund for the $1,100 deposit that was paid already . RYAN WOULD NOT GIVE US A REFUND!!!!!!!!! He said he could only give us a credit that could be used in a year's time. I explained that my husband was going to be deployed and won't be in the states next summer and Ryan's response was "Well that is not our problem. Every situation is different and you signed a contract with us and we have to follow what the contract says" I asked for a copy of the contract and he said sure I will email you - I never got that email. My mother-in-law even called since the deposit was on their card and Ryan was even rude to her and wouldn't listen to her at all! After about a week of not receiving the email I followed up to get a copy of the signed contract and he ignored my email and never sent it. I am not even sure we signed a contract when we booked them!!!! Elite Entertainment was the only vendor that didn't give us a refund for our deposits. All the other vendors understood that we were canceling due to circumstances that were out of anybody's hands. Ryan at Elite Entertainment said that since we canceled on them and they didn't cancel they can't give us refund because they could have still DJ for a wedding. Umm... how are you going to have a wedding reception when the groom can't make it due to unforeseeable circumstances! And besides if my husband traveled he would have lost his job... SO RIDICULOUS AND RUDE!!! They appear to be great when you first talk to them but heaven forbid something happens that you can't control and you will get screwed over! Go to Elite Bridal for your dress/bridesmaids but do not get sucked into booking Elite Entertainment because of the discounts they give you after going to Elite Bridal. They are rude and don't care what your situation is - especially when it is out of your hands. I wish I could give them less than one star. read more

This is in regards to Elite Luxury Limos specifically - One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a limo company. I would never recommend them to anyone. We rented the red trolley for our wedding party in between the ceremony and reception. Not only was the air conditioning broken on the trolley (note: we were not aware of this until stepping onto the trolley that day- AND the website reads "comfortably air conditioned trolley" - very false), but they had a large fan in the middle that was blowing out the hot air that was on the bus. When we asked if the A/C was on to the bus driver, she said this was the best they could do and suggested to us to roll down the windows if we needed more air flow. It was 91 degrees outside and my bridesmaids were sweating through their dresses on the way to get our pictures taken on this bus, so having the windows down was not exactly ideal, but we did it anyways because we were desperate for any kind of air flow. Thankfully, we had an excellent photographer who Photoshopped the sweat marks from of their dresses. After I called Elite Limos that following Monday to confront the terrible situation, they refused to acknowledge the fact that the AC was broken, and acted like it was working perfectly fine. Might I add that the bus driver was the one that suggested for us to call in that Monday to speak with the owners to get a refund of some sort - that's how uncomfortable it was on the bus. We failed to receive an apology for the poor service, let alone a refund. They said they tested out the A/C that day and it worked just fine and it must have been because we had the windows down (the bus driver's suggestion because it was SO HOT on on trolley). We also were off the bus for over 45 minutes at a time while we we're taking pictures and the bus still was 100 degrees when we stepped back on. Very poor service and very disappointed in the way they handle their "customer service." read more
