He went and got my color that i picked. I didn't know there was a difference between builder gel and gel polish so I didn't say I had builder gel on. Well the guy couldn't do my nails for that reason and he sent me over to the woman that greeted me. I said "im sorry I guess i should have said it was builder gel not regular gel." And she responds with "Yeah!" In a sassy tone. Totally unnecessary. I definitely sensed her hostility towards me. And magically the color I picked had magically "run out" despite the fact that I literally saw the dude who started on my nails bring the color I wanted over. She was really rough while doing my manicure and made my cuticles bleed on 3 of my fingers. I wish I had just got up and left. My nails look ok. Except for the fact that she filed the skin around my nails raw. I also asked for round and she made them mostly all pointy and charged me an extra $5 just to shape them differently than how I came in. Ridiculous. Probably wont be back. My first massage was at a much more expensive spa, yet this experience was far more relaxing, memorable, and enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff was warm, professional, and attentive, and the facility was spotless and calming. We chose the 60-minute couples massage, and for an hour we were able to completely disconnect from the world and simply relax together. If you're visiting the Outer Banks and looking for a way to unwind, treat yourself--you won't regret it. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already talking about coming back. Since it was going to be a rainy day yesterday, I figured I would check and see if I could find someone locally to do it. I did a Google search and Perfect Image popped up. I called and spoke to Nhina and was able to set up a morning appointment. When I got to the shop, I was reminded of the shops from way back. The vibe was totally old school. I told her what I wanted and Nhina who is actually the owner and sole employee told me that she thought I would do better with fewer holes pulled in the cap. She was right. She said "I'm glad I didn't listen to you"! She gave me an awesome cut that was so trendy and not a typical "older lady" look. I am so pleased with my hair that I might have to find a way to come back to see her in 6 weeks or so! I had just met this delightful woman and I felt like I had known her for years. She is that good of a human. We hugged when I left and I told her I was going to sing her praises however I was able. If you need a stylist or maybe want a change, please consider Perfect Image.
