The live band and party the owners put on was really nice. However, the site we reserved was rented out (there was a particular reason for reserving that site) so they placed us elsewhere. Would've been ok, but, we were next to long term campers that were not maintained and all of their stuff was strung out. We stayed there for 4 days and no one showed up. The grass was overgrown underneath their rig, allowing mice but they were kept at bay by the snakes we found slithering in the tall grass under the camper. The service truck that those neighbors had was parked in the roadway and on our site which made parking, pulling in, and pulling out difficult. Again, it too didn't move so thankfully the campsite was cleared out by the time we left. The campground is also on a slope and the way that the sites are positioned, septic lines will be dumping uphill. This won't be a problem if your dump station is in the front of your RV. Access to the river is limited unless you're of the mindset of no campsite etiquette, which there was plenty of (not the fault really of the owner). There are, however, DEC access points to fish the Salmon relatively nearby which was nice. If this was a $25-30/nite site then ok, whatever, but it's not.

They gave a new room which then was infested with bugs all over the room( the ac,beds, lamps, windows, bathroom, toilet) didn't even clean before we got there because there was stuff left from the last people who stayed there shoved under the bed. They refused to give us a refund because we left a light on so in their eyes we used the room. If I could give this place negative stars I would do so. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. When the other batch of guests came, said hello to everyone and wanted to also order drinks, well there was a slight problem. The owner said to us, if you want to order drinks you can't be standing up, please sit down. All of us hadn't seen each other for a while so the hellos dragged on for 10min. I found the owner rude for what he said but let's not dwell on that, on to the food. There were 4 hot dishes, and 4 different salads. Salads were Romain, coleslaw, potato and macaroni. They looked store bought and not homemade. The 4 hot dishes were boiled carrots, parmesan chicken, battered fish and roast beef. I found the selection lacking and would have enjoyed more choices. I did feel full leaving and somewhat content. I'll recommend you try this place once and judge from there. It was a nice experience for me, but I wouldn't return.

Very solid 4 star rating…read more I'm not sure if it was just because of the weekend I was searching, but little was coming up for a good rate on the travel sites for the night I needed. I ended up coming across this hotel just on it's own and the rate was much better than an so-called discount travel sites. It's a bit of an older building and you'll see more signs of age in common areas, but the rooms wouldn't have been renovated too long ago. They look nice, they're clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is pretty simple. It's more or less a continental breakfast but with 3 hot plate options in addition. For me it was: pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausages. Nothing special but did the job. The pool was amazing. I'm almost tempted to give a 5 star review because of it. Very large for a hotel - especially for one this size. Perhaps not the most ideal for people who can't swim or watching children who can't, as the shallow end is relatively small. However, a bonus for those who do like to swim since more than half of it is deep. And the deepest point is 9ft which is almost unheard of for most hotels. They say no diving perhaps out of CYA, but obviously you can given that it's even deeper than many public pools. It was too bad the hot tub was down, but the main pool being so good that I wouldn't hold that against them. I had a nice swim and my kids absolutely loved it and had lots of room to swim around. All staff were super nice here too. I'd very much recommend this place.
