He told me within 5 minutes that I needed a new inverter. He was upfront about the price, so I give him credit for that. He gave me an estimate of $750 for the parts + labor. I asked him how much the part was and he said somewhere near $350 and that they charge roughly an equal amount for labor. He spent about 20 minutes replacing the inverter and got the refrigerator working. I paid $750. My issue is two-fold: 1. The part is available at various stores for $120 - $200.
