I have never written a review on anything. We have never had any problems with any service either…read morein Lexington where we moved from after 40 years or in Lincoln since we moved here over a year ago. We were convinced by the Decked Out people that a repair of our deck would not be enough and that we should just go ahead and remove it and put in a new deck. We accepted their recommendation. We paid them half up front and they said that they would start in 1-2 weeks. After 6 weeks and not hearing from them we started trying to contact them. We had over 5 broken promises as to when they would start and 3 months later they started what they said would be a 5 day process which took 3 weeks to complete. The deck is fine, but they promised a 30 year guarantee. We called them on that and they said that they would have it to us in a week. It has been 3 months and we have tried to contact them several times a week and they won't return messages and won't answer calls. At the recommendation of the Better Business Bureau we sent them a certified letter and still not response. We have found out that we overpaid by ten thousand dollars and their failure to respond to our requests for the guarantee they promised have left us disgusted. Would never recommend them. During the time Ron Delgado (google the name) was working on filling the pool he came to my Dad 2 times for more money one of these times even going as far as driving my Dad to the bank! Before the work was even totally completed my dad had paid him a total of $25,000. It says in the proposal that clay and dirt would be hauled in at $600 additional per dump truck load, I have posted the picture below of the truck he showed up with, this is a pickup truck. There is a huge difference in the capacity of a dump truck and a pickup truck. When my father questioned him about the loads Ron reassured him he would take care of him amd not to worry about it. He is now trying to charge my father an additional $27,500 for clay and dirt. When I called General Excavating the going rate for clay was $19 a ton! This is ridiculous. I would advise anybody who is thinking about having any work done to stay away from this contractor. Horrible work all the way around there are now low parts in the yard that are holding water and the brand new sod is dying. Not to mention half of the sod was dead by the time he laid it and he destroyed the sprinkler system. I work for myself and part of what we do is display at tradeshows. So I always use good quality…read morewood when I'm building a booth. We display at the international builder show in Las Vegas and also at numerous other shows around the country. So, I go to 84 lumber to get wood and tell the person what I'm doing and I need really straight wood. I let him pick the wood out. First mistake. I get back home and one of my employees start cutting up the wood without checking the quality of it and shortly there after we realize how bad the wood is. So I take it back and get a credit, which is great. They credited me back a portion of the money since it was cut. We decide to change to a pre-engineered wood for the displays so it would be straight. They were going to have to cut them down so I asked could we just cut them down to 116 inches and they said that would not be a problem. Since it was Friday afternoon I said would it be easier to pick up Monday morning and he said yes and then I said will they be ready by 8:30 if I come in and he said yes. So I'm running late on Monday I don't get to 84 lumber until 3 PM and being the Covid situation I just go to the back area where Wood is picked up because I like to minimize the amount of places I go in if possible and since this was already paid for and I have an invoice that shows that I didn't think it would be a big deal. So I get back there and give my invoice to somebody and no one has a clue where it is or what it is. So they just grab the wood and start cutting I noticed after he cuts a few stacks the lengths are not even close to being the same. So I asked him about this and about that time his manager showed up and I was explaining to him how the lengths needed to be 116 and he said he would re-cut them but I said I will just make them work. But they really need to train their guys on how to cut wood since it is a lumberyard. So the manager takes over and cuts the wood and then when all is said and done he asked me who took the order and I pointed out to him Aaron which was on the invoice. He then rolled his eyes. He went and talk to Aaron and I guess Aaron told him that I was supposed to meet him at 8:30 at the front desk and the reason they weren't cut is because it was raining out. I don't see what rain has to do with cutting wood inside. It still could've been ready. I then said whether they were ready or not they still should've been cut correctly and he needed to train his guys how to cut wood. Which I guess he took offense to. I then called Aaron who went on to tell me that I did not follow the procedure of checking in at the front door and if I would've he would have cut the wood for me and we would not of had this problem. In our conversation on Friday he said nothing about me coming to the front door and checking in. I also Saw no signage about this and that procedure was not listed on the invoice. He said the wood will be ready by 8:30 AM. He accused me of verbally attacking the employees outside which I did not do and he was not even present. I was frustrated but I did not verbally attack them. I have never been treated like this at a store in my life.

At the second store, I not only had to find help, only to discover that none of the three employees could help me. I then opted to see if 84 Lumber could help. I was greeted at the front desk by Bryce who not only understood what I needed, but took it upon himself to show me what I needed, and then he cut me exactly what I needed. I highly recommend 84 Lumber because they actually train their employees! Thanks again, Bryce!!
