Cafe con Leche y Tostada Cubana

One of the best places for good quality and value in Doral. The food is fresh and perfectly prepared, the service is excellent and the prices are hard to beat. The space is ample and very clean. I highly recommended it.

Tropical is located in a not so busy shopping center. I decided to give it a try since I'm always driving by while i go to Sams Club which is on the way. Staff was nice and inside was clean & really quite. My eggs were over cooked as you can see in the pic but the steak was pretty flavorful. Their "special potatoes was nothing special. Food was brought out cold also which was disappointing. The steak sandwich was ok, again nothing special about it. To end this first experience at El Tropico - there was a 10% discount off $20 or more on the Yelp app and they did not honor it. One of the waitresses who was very nice btw told me this offer was an old offer and was no longer available but it is clearly still on the app. I didn't make a big deal but restaurants should honor any specials that is on either their website on the Yelp App.

This place has the same menu and the same environment for over a decade. But l meant the same physical menu, so it looks like crap for the long miles! The food is ok, fast Latin food and they are friendly while don't expect anything other than a fast lunch during your work's break or if your doing something in the area... Unfortunately the service is slow which may be an inconvenience for those in a tied schedule. I like the option to switch the bread for "arepitas", and thanks to Yelp I got S free order of cheese sticks which I was expecting only one or two but there was like seven! Plus and minus and as much as I want it, i don't find the way to go one star up.

I love the food at this place. I probably go 2-3 times a week as it is next to my office. They have specials during the week. My fav: Monday: Lentils Tuesday: chicken medallions with mushrooms sauce Wednesday: lomo saltado ... They have a big menu and pretty much everything is delicious. I have also ordered catering for my office. It was just perfect and on time even was raining so hard. Also they have a buffet and all you can drink mimosas on Sundays. I've never been, but I will! The service is good, they are all very friendly. They are renovating the local and it looks very nice.

My husband and I came here when we were staying next door at the Hampton Inn. After 12 days on a cruise ship, this food HIT the SPOT! We had Cuban Sandwiches in Little Havana and South beach...but this one was by far meatier, cheesier, and more delicious!

This is a Media Noche with Cuban bread because they don't know how to order potato bread

Second time here at this Resturant. I come here for the conveniente distance there is between your location and my mothers house. What I can say is I won't step foot here ever again. As a Resturant you are the equivalence a none organized fast food crap pit. Your customer service skills have no empathy or understanding. You don't even show prices on the menu. You don't serve what you present online. The menu in line does not represent what is available and some price special like today' Rabo encendido, shown on the menu for $20.98 I was told I had to pay $28.98, in addition, there are differences on every item on price and ingredients...We DO NIT LIVE IN A THIRD WIRLD COUNTRY... You don't have the proper ingredients to what you do serve. I order a media noche and you come to tell me you don't even have the proper potato bread for the media noche and that you need to put it in Cuban bread. Damn papo if you have it on the menu organize your shopping/ordering list to have what you need. Also welcome to the US of A your employees should be bilingual not only Spanish.

I came here on a whim with a localflavor coupon I bought. On my arrival they still had their Sunday breakfast buffet option available. Adults 10.00, kids 5.00. Adults receive one mimosa and one Cuban coffee with milk per person. What a great deal! The buffet includes breakfast and lunch options available until 2pm. They had croquetas, mini arepas, scrambled ham and eggs, pancakes, ropa vieja, white rice, pork steak, chicken soup, black bean soup, fruits, yogurt, pound cake, croissants, I am missing quite a few things but you get the idea. Food was good. They even did fresh fried eggs when we asked because the ones in the buffet bin were sitting there for a while. The eggs were not bad per say but just sitting in there looking a little stale. I actually ate one of the ones inside the buffet bin and a fresh one. The fresh one, obviously, tasted better. Service was great I have no complaints in that area. Although this particular Sunday that we came in it was not busy at all. We are not usually in this area, but for a deal like this and good food I will definitely be returning. Next time I am coming with the whole familia!

Solid place for walk up cheap Calle 8-style Cuban coffee (Bustelo, nothing fancy) in a relative coffee desert of Doral. Did not try the empanadas but had breakfast with a colleague, great huevos revueltos with cheese. Super inexpensive, fast service. What more do you want from a place like that? Update: This is a serviceable Cuban restaurant and a great place to get cafecitos in an otherwise desert of good places to eat and grab coffee. Coffee stand outside is fast, perfectly fine if all you want is the standard Cuban colada or Cortadito made with Bustelo, it's just like Little Havana. I've been here for breakfast and a quick business lunch and they do a good job with standards like picadillo, ropa vieja and arroz con pollo. Don't expect it to be Versailles or La Carreta but you can do much worse in this part of Doral.

Esta full.. Hoy vine por unos frijoles negros... Son divinos

Great recommendations and very attentive. Food is delicious. The sancocho was made just right and the tostones de picana were fantastic. The ceviche is one of my favorites in all of Miami. I always order it and it never disappoints. They offer great lunch specials that include an appetizer, main course, and dessert. They also have a kids' menu with lots of great options. My daughter loves the chicken nuggets and seasoned fries. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the staff is attentive from the moment you walk in until you leave the restaurant. It is usually busy so if you can make reservations. Definitely a great place to take the family. Every time we go, the service is excellent, and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend it.

Some were thirst and some were hungry, so I suggested we try this place. We didn't have a reservation but it was early evening. We were able to get a table for 5 quick. It's a nice place, felt classy. Luckily we came in looking classy. Our server was a nice guy. He took our orders, including my Mai Tai which was off menu. We also ordered different bites for the table. I got a tamale and also the croquetas. Both were very good, and the Mai Tai was perfect. It's got a touristy energy, a little overly Cuban. But honestly its probably not noticeable unless your from South Florida. The waiter was able to take orders and conversate in Spanish and English which was good for our table. It's a nice spot for bites and drinks. We are sure to hit here again soon.

It looked like a very upscale Cuban spot and instantly made us feel fancy dining there. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and they accepted walk-ins, which was a plus. We started with the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was amazing. They even had bottled Coke, which my girlfriend loved. For my entrée, I had the churrasco and it was so good, especially with the chimichurri sauce. My girlfriend ordered the braised beef entrée and it was incredible as well. I would definitely recommend this place. I just wish I had taken pictures because the restaurant was absolutely beautiful inside.

It is located in a small plaza; I got confused coming in because the plaza next door is not connected. There is limited parking when it is busy, but I got lucky that someone was leaving when I was pulling in. I walked in and ordered the Mangu 2 golpes. It came with salami and cheese. This is the kind of place where you can either order at the counter or sit down and order. I ordered at the counter and then chose a table and sat down. One of the waitresses came and took my drink order which was a ginger ale and quickly came back with it. The mangu was soft, fresh, and delicious. The cheese was fried perfectly and so was the salami. I especially love the pickled onions on top. I devoured the whole plate and contemplated ordering a second one but talked myself out of it. Once I finished my meal I got up and paid by the counter. This is a perfect place to come for a quick lunch, I was in and out in 30 mins and the food was delicious and fairly priced. I will be back here, would love to come here for breakfast next time!
