I've never been to Spain before and on this my first trip I am seeing it via walking the Camino de
Santiago. Maybe this hardly makes me an aficionado on Spanish cuisine in general. However if you visit Burgos as I did please go to El Tressiago if you are in town. It is just off the square of the Catedral de Burgos, off the touristy square down a side street. We were treated in a very welcoming fashion given our limited Spanish and each dish and the pintxos were excellent. I had the pork knuckle and my companions had seared tuna. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were fresh and wholesome. Go to this restaurant if you are in Burgos. You will not be disappointed and be pampered. I cannot wait to return when I have more time as the service was impeccable on top of the food being of excellent quality. read more
