Even the frozen vegetables section was impressive - cauliflower mash and cauliflower rice as sides helped to even out all of the unhealthy options available in the freezer aisles. I had a fridge and microwave at my hotel so I stocked up on food for the week I was here. I got a bag of salad for $3.50, and the vegetarian chicken tenders I buy at home to make salads with during the week. It's great to have the comfort foods of home with you when you're sleeping in a new place and adjusting to the jet lag etc. When I was done with my grocery shopping I went over to housewares to see about some jars - they had a good selection, although the layout of this section of the store was odd. They have these old school cafeteria tables that are bolted into the ground. So do you sit down and order with a waitress? There's a counter on the right side...do they seat you? On the wall, they have all the plates you can choose from...with no price. Why? Are we doing a guessing game? Can you imagine going to a place like McDonalds...and they have no prices next to their burgers? Why? So you take a guess on the price on what you want to order....the food "looks" good. But they give it to you on these old school cafeteria plates. Come on guys...do some investments on new cutlery and plates. If you are dining in, after them giving you your plate, you seat yourself and then a waitress comes by and asks you what you want to drink. It feels like chaos in there.
