I had a reservation made but was definitely not needed. We ordered the shaved foie gras, pork shoulder, king prawns and the grilled squid. Foie Gras - It was interesting. It was drizzled with a sweet balsamic vinegar. Tasted alright, nothing super memorable King Prawns - This was actually pretty good. Really refreshing taste and mouth feel. It had apple slices, avocado sauce and some jalepenos. Grilled Squid - This was decently flavorful, wouldn't say it's the freshest squid. This took 30 minutes after the appetizers were finished to come out. Pork Shoulder - This was bad. Period. The piece of meat was not only overcooked, but unevenly cooked. You can visibly tell the bottom was cooked for significantly longer. It was hard to chew. Service - All fluent in English which was convenient. Not the most attentive, most were just hanging out by the bar. I had to go up to the bar to ask for the bill. And again, food took a very long time to come.

We arrived a little late for a table outside & they will take reservations but were seated promptly & with a kind welcome indoors around 10 pm. Unfortunately there were only 2 of us, my daughter & myself & not overly hungry so we only ordered 3 dishes. We were served an amuse Bouche of calamari with tartar sauce, not sounding like much in English but arriving in the smallest of ramekins with a ring of sweet red onion-perfect. A glass of Rioja helped with the richness of our appetizer croquetas de carabineros con aioli (shrimp coquettes) amazing flavor & perfect without oil & with aioli ! Raviolis de calabaza con mantequilla de salvia ( squash raviolis in sage butter) were delicate pillows made with unbelievably thin ravioli and a filling that was phenomenal. Steak tartar de buey cortado a cuchillo con mayonesa de wasabi (tuna tartar with mango salad & wasabi mayo) perfecto !!! There is an extensive wine menu, postres looked very nice & English translation of menu on last page. With all the choices a must stop in La Latina

What I ordered: I got the toast with tomato spread, a cappuccino, and the chocolate cake. For the toast, they have two vintage toasters sitting on the main table so you can toast it yourself. This is cute, until you aren't the one at the main table so you have to reach over other people to toast your breakfast. The cake was a perfect amount of density and moisture; although, I would probably get a different flavor if I could do it over. A lot of people do chocolate cake a lot better than this. I do appreciate that they have all the cakes on a table and cut it right in front of you. Would I go back to this place? Honestly no because my experience wasn't overwhelmingly great and I think I could do better at other cafes nearby, but the quality of food here is simply top-notch.

Be sure to make a reservation because the restaurant is quaint--besides a communal table that seats around ten, I think I only saw a small bar space and two individual tables. The decor is modern, simple yet funky and homey, and the tables in front of the windows are beautiful! The menu includes several options where you can pick the number of side dishes and entree, so you can completely design your meal around your appetite. The ingredients tasted super fresh, and we especially loved the salads we tried! My friend was a little disappointed that his ceviche portion was so small, but it tasted great, and I loved the Asian-inspired chicken. Service was also pretty good, by Madrid standards. On my next visit to Madrid, I will be back to try the breakfast and baked goods :)

You have the option between a bowl and a pita for both, and all the proper accoutrements for a proper falafel. The hummus is exactly what you want and the tahini is to die for. The vibes here are great too, grab a beer with whatever you order. My only complaint would be that they do not give enough fries for the price. other than that, if you are looking for a good falafel or sabich, make sure to give Falafelria a chance.

We had not had lunch and have travel all over Madrid today and thought a quick bite of Mediterranean food sounded good. We went inside to find one lady behind the counter working by herself. She is a machine! We were given an English menu and looked around to see what others were eating. I ordered the falafel pita with hummus, tahini, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, spice, pickles and tumeric sauce. This pita was stuffed and it took both hands to eat. My wife ordered the hummus bowl with tahini, onions, chickpeas and olive oil. A perfectly warm, fluffy pita was also included. The falafel balls were great and flavor packed. It took all my energy to finish this packed pita. The tumeric and carrots were a different taste and enjoyable. A good choice. The hummus bowl with soft chickpeas were delicious. Hummas is always great with a warm pita. Again, the value was also good especially for the generous portions. Looking for good value and tasty food, do yourself a favor and stop at Falafeleria at lunch. To the young lady behind the counter, great service and thank you.
