Came here for lunch, they have a restaurant/cafe eating area inside this grocery store, right when you enter the store. Located at The Marketplace at Hollywood Park. This is a Hispanic supermarket. Everything you need for amazing Mexican food is here. Great selection of hot foods ready to eat and the prices are reasonable. Very good customer service. Food is made very fresh and you order and pay at the eating area of the store. I ordered fried whole tilapia, some kind of stew with beef in it, deep fried pork, and it came with Spanish rice and flour tortillas. The store is clean, all the employees are friendly, and all the products are organized so it's not difficult finding the things you need to buy here. They only use shopping carts here. I asked for a hand basket that you can hold in 1 hand but they told me they don't use hand baskets anymore since few months ago. I also ordered some Mexican pastries in the bakery that was delicious. I like going here with my mom. But this time a cashier was really rude to us. A nice lady let us go ahead of her in line (we had 3 items and the lady had a full cart) the cashier by the name Jackie/Jacquie (I think, but she's pale and has washed out red ish brown hair) turned us away from the cashier after we placed our things down and said in Spanish "they can help you out on 8" and she kept repeating it in a really stern voice. We didn't know isle 8 was open, there was nobody there. The lady who let us go ahead had so much food that we could've been on our way out (charged and everything) by the time she finished putting her stuff down. Idk I think it was really weird and unnecessary. Maybe Jackie was having a bad day and I'm sorry for that but don't bleed on others, I hope her day gets better. read more

As I and and 4 customers were quietly walking in 10 minutes before closing, an employee told the security guard to close ASAP because they would get "busy" 2 of the people I walked in with literally walked away because of how rude she was and that "she would give this store her business because of that attitude". #6 cashier and security guard were more then lovely and would like to see this specific employee learn from her coworkers!!! I work in customer service as well and I get it but you cant just start yelling while the customers are in front of you. Its been known that the plaza is a busy area right after a concert, and today's BTS concert date has been know for months. Today, September 2nd. I have never felt so unwelcome in a store before. My friend and I were waiting for our ride, so we decided to go into the store to get a quick drink since we had just gotten out of a concert at Sofi Stadium. When walking in, a female worker with long black hair, a black hoodie, and braces started yelling and complaining to her coworker that the concert was over and people were heading towards the store. It was still 10-15 minutes until closing, and she was telling the security guard to close the doors soon so people don't come in. She kept yelling and complaining about people coming in (we could hear it across the store while we were looking for drinks to get). There was also another pair of people who went into the store from the concert who were also annoyed by her attitude and they decided to not bring any business to the store and left. All my friend and I wanted was a simple drink, but she made us feel very uncomfortable. Other than that, the closing cashier on register 6 was very sweet, and her attitude helped ease the tension. ALSO, she should learn to realize that just because she's complaining and yelling in Spanish doesn't mean anyone walking in doesn't speak the language. She may have thought she'd get away with it by speaking another language but as a Spanish speaker I understood every single word she was saying. read more

Works for me. In a big lot with a bunch of other markets like Food4Less. Not sure this is the best option of em all but no real complaints. Definitely where the local Spanish speaking people go so know something at least. Or go to one of the other 3 stores on this huge Century block. Pastries are pretty good and wide selection. Chocolate chip and blueberry muffin were worth the price. I have to stop myself from going on a shopping spree in that section and remind myself it'll all be there next time round. Dont go to this dump. Especially during Coronavirus outbreak/panic. Everything in this store is full of inflated prices that will make Vons look like a 99 cent store. I stood in line to buy 5 cases of 24 pack of Niagara water that was advertised in sales-paper that started on Wednesday. Stood in line for about an hour before store opened. There were ten people ahead of me. Once the store opened, I made it to water aisle. I was the first person that made it there. There was no Niagara water in stock on the first day of new sale. This was classic bs bait and switch. Only shit they had in stock was the overpriced Dasani water. So I grabbed 5 cases and continued shopping for other advertised items for new sale (eggs, etc). Others also grabbed up to 5 cases. Once someone else made it to check out before everyone else, they were only able to purchase one case. I know this because the store announced on loud speaker that there is a limit of one case of water per household. Wtf!!!! I drink 3 water bottles a day. 1 24 pack will be gone in 8 days. Which means that I will have to come outside during the "stay at home order" every damn week and stand in line an hour early (so I can be some of the first customers to access the water) just for one damn case???? I shouldve stood in line at Target or Food4Less across the street. Also this store didnt most of the advertised items for the new sale (eggs, tuna, dish detergent, etc). They did have cheap toilet paper. That was on 4 pack per customer. I didnt get that because I dont need it. But I wanted 5 cases of the advertised water that shouldve been in stock for new sale. They wouldnt even gove me a damn rain check. Plus I could only get 1 case of Dasani water. I left all that water in the cart and just bought milk. The hell with this store read more

Very good place to get groceries because it's cheaper than any surrounding stores. There's a cashier, a lady but I can't remember her name, and it seems like she doesn't know how to scan the wic items. I get tuna, but I get more than the required amount for wic. We have our own debit card for the groceries that won't be covered with wic, so what this lady does it take out the cans of tuna that aren't covered as if we can't afford it. ***THIS WHOLE COMPANY NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN!!!*** I wish I didn't have to write this. The idea of a Hispanic based grocery store in a neighborhood where it's population consist mostly of Hispanics is ideal. However this is nothing ideal about this store or company. Their items for the most part are great. Huge variety and lots of great deals throughout the week. Their customer service is HORRIBLE for lack of words. Employees are extremely unprofessional 99% of the time. Being that this store in now neighbors to the Sofi stadium and we get tourist from all over the world as our city grows every year I feel embarrassed and worried that these are the people representing us. Now let me elaborate with a story. I went in shopping one day and grabbed some bell peppers. Grabbed 2 of each color and placed them in the same bag to not waste so many bags just for TWO bell peppers. I left the bags open not sealed. When I was being rung up I greeted the cashier upon approach. No response. Why? The cashier was busy chatting it up with her coworker who was standing next to her. Important to mention it was not work related at all. Her body was faced towards the screen and her face mostly towards her coworker as she scanned my items. When it was time to ring up the bell peppers she scanned one and typed in the total. I interrupted her conversation to ask "Aren't they all different prices?" Since it's not a huge price difference I didn't use a firm tone because up until this point it was not a huge deal. Simply asked politely. She then responds with her eyebrow raised and looking right at me "I don't know. Are the!" That's when I respond back with the same aggressive tone saying "Yes. They always are" CARO, yes that's her name, then has the audacity to respond with a loud and disrespectful tone saying "WELL YOU SHOULDN'T PUT THEM IN THE SAME BAG NEXT TIME THEN!" And turns around to her coworker again to continue talking. I SNAPPED and responded with "Excuse me?!" In which her ghetto ass turns over and says "Yes you heard me. Separate them next time" My blood began to boil and I explained to her that 1. I did not want to waste so many bags. 2. The bag was open so she could reach in and scan them separately. She replied saying some people don't like their items being touched and I then pointed out if my bag is open it's an indication that I don't mind along with reminding her that the bag is see-through and can be scanned through the outside but instead her attention was focused on chatting it up with her coworker so due to her lazy ness I would now be charged extra. We went back and forth for a while while she yelled at me saying it was MY FAULT and that she knows how to do her job. She said this as she was struggling to cancel the items and scan them for their correct price. Her voice got louder and louder with each response. When I finally got fed up I asked to speak to a manager. She said "There is no manager. I am the manager." I knew she was lying. So when I asked the cashier next door where I could find the manager she smirked and repeated the same. I knew she was lying also. I asked a 3rd cashier and she then confessed the manager had left home for the night and Caro was the unprofessional, uneducated, lazy, employee left in charge. Guys, it was 5 pm in the evening, HOW WAS THE STORE LEFT WITHOUT A MANAGER?! Is these even legal?!?!? When I went back to the register Caro had moved to a new register. At this point yes I was being rude. I demanded her to come back and ring me up properly. She said I'd have to wait now and I told her NO that I had waited in line and I was next. It wasn't fair for her to ring everyone else up before me because of HER MISTAKE. She continued to yell at me from 2 registers down saying IT WAS MY FAULT. I then turned my true Karen mode on and turned my camera on and that's when she was finally reminded she was an employee in a work place and human being who had the ability to show respect. Another employee rang me up. And I left the store. Got into my car. Since then I have emailed the company and called corporate multiple times and have not received any response back. WE NEED COMPANIES LIKE THESE TO LEAVE INGLEWOOD AND STOP GIVING US BAD REPUTATIONS!!! As more proof Yelp the rest of the locations in to which you're I'll find they all have no more than a 3 star rating. ALL FOR THEIR COSTUMER SERVICE. Was going to buy a few boillo rolls which they have a good deal 5/$1 plus a slice of cake but changed my mind for 2 reasons ..one the rolls were hard and had that day old smell. I've been to many Hispanics markets mostly in the suburbs that have fresh/soft daily bread. Certain times Of day . I shouldn't be thinking about strategies on how to soften "fresh bread" at home smh. I was in the area so I stopped by found the aisle with the sugar and grabbed two.....only to discover they were advertising a 4pound bag not the normal 5 pound bag. The cashier called someone only to have him come to the register and explain to her in "Spanish" that they did not have any in stock. Not once did he acknowledge that I was standing there ( bad customer service). I asked for a rain check and was told by another employee that they would only issue one on the last day of the sale. I love this place! Best deal in town as far as produce, tortillas and Mexican bread. Hands down. The meat section is very well priced as well with plenty to choose from. Great variety of Mexican cheese. Best I've seen so far. Not so much on the frozen pizza and microwave lunches though. Very much Mexican but everything is in both Spanish and English.
