This place started in a gas station down the street. I had been there once and okay. Not any more! The Bride always gets the al pastor hurache (I can't spell it correctly!) and I need to branch out from the chorizo and pastor street tacos one day. I think the sauces are homemade because the heat in the hot sauces vary from visit to visit, I like that as it keeps me on my toes. They now sell beer and have done for a while. It's a great spot to stop for lunch or pick it up to take home. read more

Food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Service is quick. I've been there a couple of times and never have been disappointed. Nice variety of foods. There isn't any seating. read more

This restaurant serves a full menu of authentic Mexican food early in the morning and going throughout the day. Located inside the gas station the place is no joke. The food was prepared perfectly and fast. The burritos are a nice size and quite filling. They come with a side of fries that needed some salt. Cue the dipping sauces and salsa. They have a little sauce bar with a nice variety of choices. The thick green one was amazing! It packed a nice punch. I was putting on my burrito and fries. The thinner green tomatillo sauce was a huge miss in my opinion. It tasted sour or possibly rancid??? Another bummer about this place is all the use of styrofoam and small single use plastic. I would not have found this place without Yelp. I would recommend giving it a try for sure read more

El Serranito - the inside of a restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Woodstock, Georgia

4 years later and I have moved back to be closer to El Serranito. I couldn't be happier. You can find me there once a week, if not more. There are some people behind the counter (shoutout Mr. Jose!) making some equally amazing food. I would trust them with my first born. I give El Serranito 1,000,000 stars, any less would be an insult. read more

El Serranito - Asada Burrito - Mexican Near Me - Woodstock, Georgia

Best burritos in Georgia, there has never been a time when I don't enjoy the food!! Salsas are amazing as well!!

This place is AWESOME!! My brother has been telling me about this place for years. I regret taking this long to come. Friendly staff/owners. Food comes out hot and tasty. I tried the fish taco and shrimp taco and they were both really tasty. I also got the burrito and it was loaded with yumminess. They are generous with their toppings and protein. I had a bite of the chorizo torta and it was solid. Definitely make sure to top of your food with their green and orange sauce. The green sauce has some kick but super delicious. The orange sauce is sweet and helps cut a bit of the spiciness of the green sauce. They have perfectly fried French fries. Hands down 5 stars. It's located inside the gas station. They have some bar tops and stools inside if you want to eat there. I also saw people that ordering it as take out. read more

This place kicks ASS. THE BURRITO is so full and not too much egg, the sauces they have are nice and spicy. Everything tastes great, price is not too crazy for how well this burrito is made, it fed me twice today. read more

Best In-The-Wall Mexican food in Woodstock! Literally, my favorite go-to place every time I visit family in the area and you all have to try it! _________________________________________________________ PARKING & LOCATION | [This location is located in the gas station that is next to a McDonald's. It is a BP parking lot, but don't worry about the parking as it is a quick in-and-out place when getting your food.] _________________________________________________________ EXTERIOR & INTERIOR | [You won't be able to find much of the place by looking from the outside, but when you walk inside the gas station, it is on your right and you won't be able to miss it. It is a small owned store, but it is so worth picking up the food and taking where you want to go to eat it!] _________________________________________________________ IS IT CLEAN? | [The place is not as clean because it is in a gas station, but the place's purpose is ordering takeout. ] _________________________________________________________ FOOD & DRINKS | [The tacos here are so good and the meat that they have is just tender and juicy. My mouth is just watering up just thinking about it. We usually get the pork and chicken but it is so good that you want more. And the food literally fills you up. The sauces and food is so worth coming here and getting and it can turn out to be your next favorite place.] _________________________________________________________ SERVICE ‍‍| [The people who own the place are very sweet people and make sure your order is made properly and freshly. They are amazing each time I go and always have a great smile and atmosphere around them.] _________________________________________________________ OVERALL | [This place is a must-go kind of place because the food and service are so amazing. I literally can't get enough of this place.] read more

Delicious tacos!!! Ignore the fact that El Serranito is located inside the gas station. It is worth a try! I went with the intent of trying their tacos but was hoping I could mix and match. Their menu is setup so that you can buy individual tacos. Perfect! I ordered a fish taco, fried shrimp taco and the al pastor (marinated pork) taco. I also ordered a side of rice and beans. The fish and shrimp tacos came with an orange sauce which added great flavor but was a tad too spicy for me. These tacos also had a yummy crunch from the slaw. The pork taco was packed with lots of pork, onion and cilantro. It came with a green sauce that was really tasty. The rice and beans which is typically a forgotten side, just there to fill space. That is not the case here. The rice was perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The beans were soft and delicious. I will definitely eat here again! read more

This is your Mexican food hole in the wall you were looking for! Visiting from California, we know our CalMex food - so so good! Well, after finding this place on Yelp with 5-star reviews we had to try it. Let me tell you, I couldn't see the place once we pulled into the gas station - because it's located inside the gas station!!! Once we entered I saw the line of customers ordering food. I knew it was gonna be good. We ordered two asada burritos, they come with fries and sauces. It's a $10.99 burrito which I found to be a steep price. Maybe omit the fries and lower the price a buck or two. But once we got the food, and tailgated as there are no tables or chairs to sit at, the first bite was OH WOW good. The flavor is perfect, a fireworks of flavors in your mouth, great ratio or meat, rice and beans and the size is massive! They cut it in half so you can share with another person or save for later. The fries were amazing too, and I'm not a fries person. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Sauces were spot on as well. After talking to the owner I learned she used to live in California before moving to Georgia. So, if you were looking for an amazing authentic CalMex food in GA, make a stop at this place. You won't regret it. read more

Absolutely scrumptious. He food made me so happy that I jumped. The service was nice they gave me extra food. And it was very loud

We ordered 1 chicken burrito (ok), 2 al pastor tacos (great), 1 steak (dry, flavorless), 4 pork stomach (fatty, flavorless), 2 fish (old, inedible), 2 shrimp (old, inedible), and 1 chorizo tostada (good) - $58 I expected much of the food to be amazing based on the reviews so I'm pretty disappointed right now. I didn't eat 8 out of 11 tacos because they were just that bad. The fish and shrimp were not fresh and I was most excited about those tacos. The chicken burrito tasted like one of those microwaveable burritos, so not terrible but not amazing. The al pastor tacos were really good as well as the chorizo tostada. Service was good and +1 star for having an A health rating. read more

El Serranito - Al Pastor Burrito, Taco de Camaron, Taco de Pescado, Buche Taco, Pollo Burrito, Chorizo Tostada, Asada Taco - Mexican Near Me - Woodstock, Georgia

The tacos are amazing. Order more than you think as they're street sized and you'll want more anyway. The burritos are phat - giant visions of tasty deliciousness filled with rice and loads of protein. I could do without the fries... first, there's no room for them if you eat even half the burrito; second, they taste of old oil that has cooked fish. That's the only negative there is here. In terms of tacos - we have eaten the chorizo, the carne asada and the el pastor and they're all terrific. My favorite borders between the latter two. And I recommend the same for burritos. We tried a quesadilla - it was okay but I think the burritos and tacos are what makes this place sing. read more

Stopped by today due to the 5 star rating and was blown away by the quality of the food and excellent service. I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco. El Serranito is a locally owned restaurant. They operate out of a gas station. There are some seatings, but space is limited. I tried their tacos (asada, pastor, shrimp) and asada quesadilla. And they were all awesome. The sauce can be a bit spicy but definitely adds an extra layer of flavor. I usually don't get shrimp tacos, but the owner recommended and it did not disappoint. Although the place could be far for many, if you're in the area and want Mexican, would highly recommend! read more

Okay everyone I consider myself a traveler and a foodie but today the biggest happy accident has happened to me since I moved to Georgia. I stopped in this BP gas station and saw this sign that said fish tacos. I said what could hurt fish tacos from a gas station no problem!!! Little did I know what was about to happen. I was greeted by young lady and basically just had to fish tacos and ask her if she can put them in corn tortillas. She looked at me a little strange as if how did he know that's how they're supposed to be made. After the first bite I was in heaven. I had not had authentic Mexican food like this since I had to lived in San Diego. The food was fresh it was clean and most importantly everybody there was so friendly. against my better judgement I ended up ordering two more fish tacos and now I'm about to go into a coma. Ended up speaking with the owner Jose and turns out they even do street corn on the weekends and he gave me a couple to take home on the house. Let me tell you something this is the best authentic Mexican in or around this side of town. I will be there and become a regular hands down. Thank you Jose and your family for the great service in the great food and I will see you tomorrow and many more times next week. Holy crap that was delicious. read more

Awesome spot! I grew up with a place like this in my hometown so to find it was stumbling upon a hidden gem! The lady that is running it is so sweet and fun to talk to. She def gave us some tips on ordering and recommended the quesadilla which was heaven sent! So so good. Really good flavors and texture profiles on everything. I'll go back here as long as there still slinging tacos out!! read more

In my opinion best Mexican food in Woodstock! The quesadilla hecho a mano is amazing! I love fresh corn tortillas and they are huge! I would also recommend the burritos! Be sure to have an horchata as well! read more

This Mexican taqueria opened recently inside the BP at Trickum & 92. There is a counter for ordering and monitors displaying the menu, with a counter with stools for eating and a couple tables. We had the chicken burrito and tacos de lengua to go. The food was cooked fresh and ready fast, probably about 5 minutes. The burrito was warm and filled with rice, beans, chicken, onions, cilantro, and came with crispy fries. The lengua tacos came with double corn "street" tortillas, onions and cilantro. Very good and authentic as their sign claims. Prices are reasonable and workers were friendly. See photos for menu and prices. I'll definitely eat here again. In particular, I would like to try the breakfast burrito with egg, chorizo, and potatoes. I love that ingredient combination. read more

I am El Serranito's business neighbor and I have an addiction to their food. Truly some of the best ever. The pastor is unbelievable!

Food gave me dysentery. Takeaway only. Sauce cart was very messy. Inside a BP gas station.

Really good Mexican food! The pollo tostado was great, and I tasted the pollo and shrimp tacos. I found the shrimp to have more flavor and enjoyed it more, yet overall everything was delicious!! I also loved the sauces they included with the tacos. Great added flavor! We will be eating here again! read more

The bad first. Place is in a dump of a BP gas station at corner of trickum and 92 with sketchy clientele coming and going inside the gas station. Health score was an 80 so I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. Now the good - the food is outstanding - I got the El Pastor burrito and it was one of the best burritos I have had in the area. Five stars for the food minus a star for the location. read more

I live close by and their tacos are the best. Everyone is always very nice. You'll never wait more than 5 minutes.

Great food! Street tacos are awesome! Service is quick and friendly. Fish taco was my favorite. They also gave us 3 different sauces to try. Some spicy, some creamy. Excellent all around. Do not hesitate to stop in!! 10 months ago we stopped here on a whim while looking for a house. Today we stopped in again as homeowners in the area. I'm so glad this little taco place exists! It was as delicious this time as it was 10 months ago. Seriously good food, and good people. We will make this a regular thing. read more

In a word, authentic. They make everything in house, all salsas, tortilla, chorizo, if its on the menu they make it in house. Really really good, small portions but the tacos are very cheap. I had a agua de tamerindo , steak, chicken, chorizo tacos. Worth popping in and trying it's really really really good. Went back last week. It was just as good. Service is very friendly. Took a friend and now he is hooked too. Love this spot. read more

Given the trend of more and more great food popping up in gas stations, I guess I shouldn't be surprised to find the best, by a considerable margin, shrimp tacos in metro Atlanta in a sketchy looking BP (it's worse inside than outside). Really really good, light fried shrimp, crisp slaw, delicious sauce. Don't come for the ambience - there's no seating and you buy drinks through the BP counter. read more

The absolute best quality and flavor street tacos... one of our fav places for take out

This is a locally owned restaurant, the owner and his family love what they do which no one could wish for better.
