The view

The food was delicious and the service was great! I highly recommend the crispy chicken and the spicy meatballs tapas! Actually all the Tapas we tried were excellent and good portions. Don't miss this wonderful Spanish restaurant! The view is stunning as well.

Our delicious tapas: patatas bravas, croquettes, salmon, tuna, and Spanish tortilla

We were very happy with the food at El Sabor. The location is right on the street which was a bit noisy, but all the tapas we ordered were very delicious! We got patatas bravas, croquettes, salmon, tuna, and Spanish tortilla. All of them were delicious!!! Perfect sauces and flavors. Croquettes were the best ones we had yet. The strawberry mojito was also strong and tasty. I would recommend this place!

Meatballs... A bit bland and dry

Let me start by saying that I felt very conflicted about posting this review since it is El Sabor's first review on yelp and it will not be positive. A rival ratings website has it rated very highly, and we may have just caught them on a bad night. Don't stay away just based on my review. Both the service and the setting were wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and gracious about our language barrier, and, as always, it's tough to beat outdoor seating so close to the water. Unfortunately, El Sabor, like so many other seaside restaurants, seems to rest on its location. It's food was some of the worst we had on our trip. It was uninspired from start to finish. There was no originality, no particular passion, and no fun. It was just sort of... food. Hopefully we just caught them on a bad night. If you go and have a great meal, make sure to post a nice review to make up for my tough one.

the bread and aoli was good but it took over 45 minutes for the small tapas to come out. Way too long for the simple things we ordered

Sat outside, was seated right away. This restaurant has a beautiful view, lovely to sit outside…read more Ordered a paella entree with chicken. It was not the best paella we had on our trip, but it was still pretty good! The chicken was not in cubes but bone-in.

Tapas, and more tapas! In fact I am returning tomorrow to try new ones!…read more The Patatas con Allioli was like a potato salad with ailoli. I am completely inspired to try and replicate this at home. Pimientos de Padron are small jalapeño looking peppers but they are not hot were grilled in olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt and they were delicious. Datiles con Bacon, you can't go wrong with bacon and dates! Frito Mallorquin de Matanzas was a pork stew, and oh so good. The server enticed me with decaf con leche and I thought that was the perfect end. Then to top the meal, a bottle arrived with a liquor only made on this island. Heirbas is anise, orange flowers...and.... Being GF is no joke. The server Juan Pedro was well versed in gluten free menu items and recommended several dishes. Trust me, it was an amazing tapa meal and following his advice was a win, win! I have had some hit and misses in my journey and this is a hit! When you find yourself in Soller, this is a restaurant you need to seek.

People watching was great and I love their spin on patatas bravas! We also had a bocadillo jamón y queso that was damn good (ham and cheese sandwich!). In Mallorca it's risky choosing somewhere to eat - you could be picking somewhere with rubbish food…read morethat targets only tourists. This place was risky because it it's right in the middle of the old district amidst shops of all different kinds. Somewhere can look nice on the outside but be a bit rubbish on the inside, but Tramuntana was not one of these places - in fact is was surprisingly nice! Firstly, the food (the most important bit). As an Englishman who'd just moved to Mallorca, I'd never heard of "Pintxos" before. The menu contains Tapas and Pintxos, with Pintxos being warm versions of 'things on bread', around the same size as Tapas. These are fantastic! We had the mini beefburger, and veal with caramelised onions - both had the onions and they were brilliant! So definitely try those. We were hungry but not starving, and had a mix of 6 Tapas and Pintxos between us and we're pretty full by the end. If you order the cold Tapas you have to stand up and go to the counter to order it, but Pintxos are ordered at your table. We were waiting about 20 minutes to order our food and I had to ask about the Pintxos, so try that if you're concerned about waiting a while. There's free WiFi here; (I'm writing my review off it) and the password is "atasteofspain" without the quotes. The waiters are friendly but a little slow - I think this is a Spanish thing here though. With great food and milkshakes, we're definitely going to be coming here again. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because of the time taken to get our food, so don't come here if you're in a rush (ours was a late lunch).
