Corn chips are thick, crispy and a bit too hard. $53.19 The hot salsa is bad, better mixed with the house salsa. The guacamole doesn't have a ton of flavor, just creamy, still ok. The flautas are small, 4 small ones with the dinner. I asked for beans only and on the side, got beans covered with cheese. I had asked the waitress about the order being wrong. She looked agitated. She went to take my plate away. I said not to bother, I don't trust her to not spit in my food, she looked like she wanted to hurt me. The tostadas is covered with too much iceberg. The chicken quesadillas are thin and subpar. Meal was average. The service left a lot to be desired for me.

No worries, a super amigo working the restaurant counter, gladly took my to go order for 2lbs of carnitas and pointed me to the fresh tortillas and packaged cheese. It was delicious and plenty of great leftovers. I'll be Back!! (In a terminator like voice) Can't go wrong with this Mexican market and I've been in San Diego for the last 30 years. Unfortunate to say it was a bad experience. Not for vegetarians…read more Started off the night being told most of what I wanted was not vegetarian. If you do not eat meat or any animals, please ask what you can eat! They do not have a vegetarian menu. When my food came out, my burrito was covered in cheese. I had one waitress tell me their cheese was not vegetarian, and was mistaken on my end to assume the other server knew I was. I let our waitress know that what I ordered was not what I expected and that I was sorry about it. She let me know what it said on the menu and grabbed it from me, and I apologized again. The manager came out and told me he was sorry, but that something else I ordered (the rice) was also not vegetarian, and asked if I still wanted it. I was given a "new" plate with half of my food scrapped off and a new burrito on it, with rice still under it. Easy to say I lost my appetite. The horchata tastes like it came from a powder mix, and my mother's chicken soup was tough. I don't write reviews like this unless I was genuinely disappointed, which we both were. The food and the vibe was off :(( This is my mom's second time giving this place a shot, she was hoping to have more luck with me there, and they dropped the ball again.

Their menu is quite expansive, offering plenty of options for every craving. The Birria Pizza Taco was impressive--large enough to feed 3-4 people, just like a standard pizza. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying their street corn, which sounds amazing. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you're in the area!

The salsa verde and rice were okay, I wasn't wowed so I probably wouldn't order them again. But, the main dishes were definitely stand out delicious! Unfortunately, that's where most of the solo star is weighted. Oh, that, and the chips and salsa (delivered in a mini carafe). I ordered the ribeye and chicken plate (El Toro). Ribeye was ordered RARE and it came out with zero pink or red. Zero. The leather chicken would have been great for long term survival in the cold wilderness.
