They lot size is great not too many options they all sell the same things just in different locations. They are one of two flea market in the Modesto area. This one has a modern asphalt and tent setting. They charge 5$ each vehicle to enter and they charge the seller according to what they sell and the location they want. (Entrance, middle,side,etc.) The value of this establishment is Poor. They extort their sellers and publicly shaming them by constantly telling them rent is due over loud speaker. Very unprofessional, no morale. Personally I don't like this establishment they run this and the night market like a teenager's emotions. Wild and unkept cancelling ( night market) at last minute. Which is unfair because I'm sure they still charge the sellers the full month due. The sellers here are like any where some good and some bad. read more

Do not get your haircut here. This was at the salon on the southside. They saw me looking and called me to come in and try out their service so I did wanting to give them a chance. They absolutely destroyed my hair. I told them I simply wanted to trim with very small layers. She chopped at least 5 inches off and left the layers so uneven but now two hours later I'm having to go get it fixed. It will take my hair months to recover from this monstrosity. read more

Great Flea market and free entrance and I recommend the paid VIP parking of $5. It has a lot of great specials and great food.

Overall good. Tons of different vendors and food options. Didn't stay for the live music but they sounded pretty good.

We walked around most of the flea market easily, and visited several "shops" (under pop-up canopy/easy ups). It is set up nicely, there are different items to buy, enough room to walk, and not crowded. They have several food stands with different things to eat, some items include, but are not limited to: churros, fruits & vegetables, avocado, tacos, Chinese food, and elote (commonly called Mexican Street Corn, which is grilled corn on the cob, smothered in a creamy mayo sauce, and topped with chili powder, cotija cheese, or queso fresco, and lime). One shop was giving away samples of food, but none of my friends or I wanted to try at that time. My friend said she always gets the Chinese food at this flea market, she really loves it! She likes to have the kimchi (A Korean dish of spicy pickled cabbage). I bought one churro, it was good, but pricey, if you asked me. It was $3.00 and you only get one regular sized churro. I will let you decide if that is worth it or not... I didn't find anything that "sparks joy" or in other words, that I had to have. So the churro is the only thing I bought that day. The guy who was selling the Mario Bros. items, was very sweet, and told me that he will receive a shipment of larger figurines. The ones he had I thought are adorable! He said the larger Mario figurines that are coming are a lot bigger in size. I also liked the giant Mario, I think he was a piggy bank. One shop had several cute piggy banks (A hamburger, French fries, different colors of pigs, Mickey Mouse, etc.). Some shops had little Disney items which I thought were cute. They had oversized handmade hair bows, a shop that sells candy of all sorts (mostly Mexican candy, and some American candy too). I don't wear much jewelry, but my friends bought some that I admired. That shop had beautiful, hamdmade, beaded bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. My favorite were the little women ones; they were clearly a little woman with a colorful dress on. They were made out of small beads and were dainty. If I were buy anything it would have been the little women earrings (that had matching items). So cute! I was able to practice my limited Spanish! :) Some shop owners/workers told me they had limited English, so I was excited to practice. It is free to get in, except parking costs money on certain days (is my understanding). We went on a Friday. It happened to be Cinco de Mayo. There were not many patrons that day, not sure why. My friends took the public bus and it was slightly hard to describe where to find each other because there are many entrances. They should label them North or South, East or West entrance respectively. We found everyone, but it would have been easier if the flea market identified the entrances, we all agreed. Overall it was a nice time at the flea market. I would probably go with a friend again. However, as I stated previously, I didn't really find anything I personally had to have. Coming here to just get ou of the house for a little while and to see what flea markets are about nowadays. It was really hot this day, many of the spots to put your booth were empty and spaced out. There was however a live band and people dancing so that was nice. No cover charge to get in and there is street and parking lot spaces to park. This is a flea market! Wow... I was impressed with the size and all of the things being sold. The sheer volume was impressive. It makes the farmer's market here in Richmond look rather quaint. Even the market on Ashby, which is a shell of it's former self is looking rather bad. But when it was bumping, I thought that it was wonderful. But again, this market has so much more to choose from. I did get something from here which was good, but they had leather goods, knives, clothing, tools, toys, games, food, rugs, fresh juices, and more. I can't list it all here, but I have the pictures. I have seen this place a few times when I drove by and I said I was going to go there one day. I finally made it months later. it was a very nice flea market. Lots of options. Lots of nice people, And look like a lot of nice good food & Vegetables and fruit was variety of selection. If you're looking for something that isn't off Alibaba, you'll want to learn your favorite stalls -- there's one with South American pottery that I'm eyeing for future purchases, and a couple with pistachios and candy. Parking is $5 (on a real paved lot) and subsequent admission is free. This is not a place to find a huge variety of used items, the way the Turlock flea was when I was a kid, but it's a pleasant walk and you can stave off exhaustion with fresh hot churros. read more

Went here growing up. Was one of the smaller flea markets in the area but grew as the other flea markets died out. I was really looking forward to spending our Sunday morning at the flea market. I even did my due diligence and made sure that they allowed service animals on their premises. Which I was told that they did, and upon arrival I was visibly able to confirm this. I have psychiatric service dog. Also I was happy to see she would be allowed. Especially since we drove a long way from our home to the flea market. But immediately upon entry everything started to go downhill. The parking attendant immediately upon taking our 5 dollars she looked at my dog and said there's no dogs allowed. You'll have to leave, at which point I stated oh no she's a service dog, and she stated no she's not. No dogs allowed. I said no she's a psychiatric service dog, and she asked for her service dog documentation, at this point I knew this wasn't going to go well. So I told her ma'am there isn't a service dog registration or documentation. At which point she just mumbled and we took it as her being ok with that and we continued to park. But within a couple of minutes of parking the first staff member came over and asked for our dogs identification, when I explained that the ADA doesn't have a registration for service animals he admitted that he had no idea what the laws and regulations were for service animals he was just doing as he was told. After about five minutes of talking to him, about four, what seemed armed security officers, came over and demanded that if my dog was a service dog I provide them her service dog identification paperwork. I explained to them once again that there isn't a registry for that. And that per ADA guidelines they can't request documentation only what my dogs purpose is, which is a psychiatric dog. I explained that companies that issue "identification " are scams and not regulated by the ADA. One of the guards mentioned that they now require the identification because in the past people have pretended that they have service dogs and those have bitten other customers. I stated that although that's horrible and I'm sorry those experiences happened, that they needed to understand that there is no regulated ADA service dog registration. At that point they began making up lies that we had been hostile and that we aggravated the flea market staff so that now we needed to leave and we're no longer welcome at that property. And that if we stayed we would be trespassing. When that happened more of the third party security guards came and surrounded my family. I began to panic because we were being treated like straight criminals for absolutely no reason. The guard began yelling and telling us we needed to leave NOW. I got my son and family in Our vehicle and it was to the point that we were escorted out of the parking lot and onto the road by the third party security. I have never been treated so horribly by any business. Especially when it comes to my service dog. They have multiple signs stating they allow service dogs but that is the farthest from the truth. All of this ended with me having a huge panic attack because of how we were treated by the security guards and how they lied about us being hostile towards the staff. read more

Just came right now to see if we can get some pizzabirrias and saw the truck wasn't there so we immediately turned around and went back to ask if we can get our money back because we didn't even park or want to walk around the market. The Owner who was standing at the entrance said she couldn't do anything about it or return my money even though I had JUST paid not even 2 minutes ago for parking I didn't need or use. BEWARE!!!!!!! So today went to flea market with my mom and she brought some pants to be redone shorter. O Two she left with this guy named Domingo, 1918, row 11 in the corner shack. He said one hour for one pair of pants. Unfortunately my mom left him with a set of high end pants and the other from ross. The one from ross was supposed to be cut. The other was just reference. We came back and he had them ready. The pants that were just for reference were inside out. Which was odd. And the. We noticed straight away that it had been tampered with. These are name brand Brooks brothers. Which are high quality. We argued that those were not hers and he's tampered with. He laughs and that no one else has come other than us. That it is our pants. We kept arguing and he said that you can call whoever you want even the cops and they won't do anything. (Now thinking about it seems he's familiar about scamming people and no one will be able to do anything.) We went to the front office they called security but they didn't reassure us about them doing anything. We talked to security and they pretty much said the same thing that they couldn't do anything. Something needs to be done about this. I might have to go to the business bureau to investigate. We came home and what he did was he stole the silk from the name brand pants. Not the wool part but the silk part under the pants.(dress pants) I advice to be careful. I would never return to that man. And I don't recommend to give him any business. read more

Came some ways to check out this flea market. First off they have free parking and admission which is awesome! You do have to park in a dirt field but hey, it's better than nothing! Once walking in, it's like your typical flea market except for food instead of stands hosted by the flea market it's a bunch of food trucks. My family and I tried the first one closest to the entrance (La Gordita Felíz) they had AMAZING tacos! With tortillas hechas a mano! They're full sized tortillas with plenty of meat! Not to mention they also have a plethora of meat choices( give the chorizo a try! It's SUPER flavorful! ) There's also some super yummy churros and cotton candy! Overall a great place for the food but the lack of the 5th star would be for purchasing things wise. There's not much to buy and when I tried to buy some of my favorite chocolate from Mexico the dudes price was waaay overpriced. All in all come for the food, maybe even the produce! It is what it is. For the area it's a decent size flea market. The new paved parking lot is totally worth paying $5 . Always good roasted corn, food and drinks. Love walking and seeing stuff. Love trying stuff to entice my boring white taste buds. THE BREAKDOWN: If you've never been to a flea market basically bring cash, $5 and $1 are best. Know that it's a good deal no matter what but not speaking Spanish means about on average a $1-$2 markup, suck it up or learn Spanish. Don't be shy and try everything. Fruit, candy, bacon wrapped dogs, churros, icy cold fruit drinks. Out of all the flea markets I've been to, this is one is the largest and most fun! They have a live band, a carousel for the kids, pony rides, good trucks and lots of things to check out, eat or buy! I come for the produce, the Mexican fruits con chile, all the stuff my friend gets me to try. I recently tried the chopped fruits and vegetables you add Tajin (so addicting!), chamoy and other flavors and mix it in a bag! I enjoyed it :-) From churros to nachos, mangonada to tacos, you can bet your diet it's def a "cheat day" when you come! Aside from the food, it's nice to walk around and buy produce for a good price and also to support the vendors who come out each day selling what their proud to sell. We were there for maybe 15 min and had to get out. Can't believe how people is walking around like if it the summer of 2019! There is a huge parking lot but it is made out of dirt. This flea market is a pretty decent size. There was plenty of bathrooms that's always a plus. They had a lot of aguas frescas. A ton of places were you can buy food. Fresh churros! A lot of Mexican products and a lot of piñatas. My favorite part was they had a lot of baby animals that were so cute. There was a lot of organic foods. There really is no bad flea market because it's really what the vendors have to sell. This place was very clean will definitely return. read more

About four years ago my parents moved to Modesto and there is absolutely nothing to do here.. So someone told us about the flea market and oh my! This became out weekend ritual! They are open from Friday to Sunday. Sat and Sun they are crazy busy, there were times when we had to look for parking for about 15+mins. Parking is free, entrance is free! Number one reason why I love this place?! The fruit and veggies. OMG! always so cheap way cheaper than any grocery store and so fresh. I just went this past weekend and I got a bag of habanero chiles for $1, bag of thai chiles for $1, 5 cucumbers for $1, 20lbs of oranges for $5 and 3 orange bell peppers for $1! Can you say better deals than the Dollar Store!? Second reason why I love this place? The stuffed Churros! YES! so good! $1.50 for a stuffed Churro! You must try, you wont regret it. You know, I was a bit skeptical because the parking lot isn't all that fabulous. However there is a large variety and selection in terms of where to eat and produce to buy. I loved the churros and the little stands. My mom loved the roasted corn on a stick and we all got a little bit of everything to try. Would recommend coming here on an empty stomach and trying a little bit of everything. The taco truck that I tried which was delectable was called "La Gordita Feliz" and it did indeed make me a happy gal. Tortillas were made right there and I had full-sized tacos which filled me up. This flea market it right down the street from my work. It's a treat to walk down there for lunch to get my 2 asada tacos from the little taco truck next to the pony rides. I should look at the name of the truck next time I go down there! The food is always good and it's $4 for 2 tacos and a soda. You can't beat that! This place is the lowest of low. From charging vendors to park, to raising rent unexpectedly, the Modesto Flea Market has gone down the drain. Back in the day customers could enjoy free parking and the affordability of what the flea market has to offer. But now With strict rules, rent raises, and new younger management there's been no room for the average vendor to compete or even make a living. This Flea Markets Management has not only forced my family to lose but cost many people their livelihood. Vendors are now paying $15 each day to park, regardless if handicap or not. And on top of that are being demanded to show up the entire weekend. This means even though you pay monthly if you don't come on Saturday your spot could be sold because you didn't come the entire weekend. Before you come here and overpay for the same food you can get anywhere on crows landing, I'd weigh out your options. I will simply end this by saying there's plenty of hard working people out there who deserve your money before this place does! Please think twice about supporting them!!! read more

And their food is excellent (tacos, quesadillas, mulitas, menudo, birria and more).
