Mr Guillermo regularly sent pictures and videos of his stay and he always had a huge smile on his face. The homes are impeccably clean and safe, including the bedrooms and bathrooms, even the garage! The neighborhood is extremely safe, and the streets are well maintained. And the way they handled the COVID pandemic was superb!!! My father moved from an assisted living in the states the same week as a State of Emergency was declared in the U. S. The home he moved from ultimately was shut down like so many of the stateside facilities. There are better facilities out there with better prices & not as money hungry as Serena.

I loved it for my parents but it truly has sparked up for the new genertion coming in. The food looked and tasted delicious and far better than any I saw on pictures from other places. The rooms are clean, fresh and updated. The social calendars couldn't be better and the residences I met who were close to my age, loved it. They couldn't say enough good things about it and they were all participating in different activities from each other. Not only were activities abundant but holidays were made to be celebrated with special events offered and residences were signing up for trips to Lambs House Theater to upcoming plays, Peohe's was another sign up opportunity. My friend was approved to live there for one year. Then the salesperson abruptly changed her mind, saying my friend did not have enough money to live there long-term. She told us Frederika Manor is a "non-profit" organization, but clearly it is all about "profit/money".

To be sure, a super rushed situation. Here's my feelings after nearly/only a month in of mom living here at St. Paul's Plaza, a pick I/we are very happy with. I stopped in and on-site reviewed five nice/better Assisted Care with Memory Care facilities in CV in two days. St. Paul's Plaza was one of two with the best, most well appointed and sunny memory Care sections of all those I visited. Prior to their assessment of her condition, I had no way of knowing whether she'd be going to an Assisted Living area, or a Memory Care segment and as she is a very visually stimulated patient, I wanted somewhere nice and cheery as could be. This newer St. Paul's Plaza Memory Care section is well lit by sunlight, has an always assessable patio area, with nicely fresh and well appointed rooms and hallways. For a facility where I can also take her over to the other areas to eat or sit or enjoy different areas which are not only memory care, this is absolutely the top facility I have seen. Mom is in the early stage of dementia and doesn't always exhibit signs of this, but she also has physical health issues and is a fall risk. She needs Stand By help at all times when using her walker. Due primarily to her specific needs and my want for her to have hands on checks and care at many times or 24/7 at her room, I preferred that she be in memory Care vs AL. Thankfully that is where she located to and it's worked out exactly as I had wished. St. Paul's Plaza facility is stunning for anyone wishing to move there. Most everything about it feels fresh, beautifully appointed, professionally run and quick to meet my requests and questions on an ongoing basis. Genesis was the one I worked with in reviewing the facility and she was fantastic to work with as is Lindsay, the Services Coordinator. I love how responsive and patient the staff was right off with our questions and myriad odd requests, always keeping me updated and in the loop at a bit of a panic'd time for us. While mom is not entirely happy to be located to memory care, I am. The staff has helped to make sure she's involved in multiple activities daily, including in the general areas with other residents so that she doesn't get left feeling forgotten or locked into the one section. I am sure this has greatly improved her mental sharpness. Mostly tho I'd like to highlight how the care and medical staff have worked with me/us to make sure all our concerns about her medical and physical therapy needs, as well as coordination with Sharp Transitions/Hospice have been met and not left forgotten. They are often "On It" with her need for something, or a need to contact her Sharp nurse before any need for me to contact them. And they always keep me in the loop. Such a better piece of mind situation from her previous, under-staffed location where although they tried hard, there just wasn't the level of care she needed. Here at St. Paul's, when I stop in without notice and one of the staff is finishing up painting her nails for her.., and she's loving it, I'm thrilled at the attention, and I'm left feeling happy and confident in my choice for her new home. I have little doubt my experience will be just as positive in the months to come. --LD

As my father in law is now approaching 102 (next month), the level of care is now essential and "round the clock". With us living on the East Coast and for my wife's father to be able to remain in his own home, having a fully reliable and conscientious service was not only very important but now has become a true requirement. Because of the commitment and dedication of the owner and a number of also extraordinary staff members, we believe that the care provided has most often been truly excellent. Over now more than 2 years, Assisting Hands has earned our Trust and Confidence. When a caregiver was unavailable, Assisting Hands has always been agile and "there" to assure continuous "on site" coverage, without exception.
