THIS IS BY FAR, the best restaurant with the best dishes in the region, period. And I'm talking ANYWHERE in the region. Nothing comes close. This is literally as authentic as eating somewhere on the west coast of Mexico. I don't know how they do it. The seafood is fresh, fresh, fresh! They bring in live lobsters every Thursday, fresh. The spices and sauces are EXACTLY what you'd find on the beaches along Sinaloa and Nayarit. Service is always courteous, smiles, attentive, welcoming. I love this place. I cannot be in town and not eat here at least once, three times if possible. Hope you enjoy my photos!

A Mexico City original dish, you can find it in so many variations and options here to satisfy the most demanding meat lover and Mexican food connoisseur. Their bisteck (carne asada) and pastor (seasoned pork) are perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavor. The staff comes to your car to take your order and deliver your food. Service is fast and friendly and they're open late for night cravings. I will be back to sample other items in their manu, so far they've got me hooked. Make sure you try their Agua Frescas, hand made artisanal drinks, including Horchata, Lemon and seasonal fruits.

Stopped for dinner while staying in Garden City for a night on way to CO for vacation. The only…read moredisappointment is that I wish La Estrella was in *my* hometown. Four of us, including a vegan and a picky eater, loved everything we ate. My husband had the pork tacos (pastor, I think he said) and chorizo tacos, and he raved. They were more of a street-style taco, served with fresh lime to squeeze over. Very fresh! I am a big fan of enchiladas and had the enchiladas rojas. They were more authentic than Tex Mex (everything here is), but a great proportion of sauce to cheese to enchilada. With a bit of the spicy salsa (yowza!) or pico (the pico is ah-MAYYY-zing!), just mmmmmmmMMMMMM. So good! Picky Eater (our 18 yo son) got 3 burritos with just ground beef and cheese inside. He was in heaven. Vegan (our 15 yo dgtr) got the fries and some chips and guac. She was fighting us ALL off her food. That GUACCC!!! Yum, yum, YUM. Just yum. And they serve beer, too! Y'all. This little restaurant is a gem. My husband wants to go back this morning for breakfast. You just have to check it out if you find yourself in Garden City. (PS: I use Yelp all the time, but this is my first-ever review. I am usually WAY too lazy for that!)
