When we walked in we could smell the food, it smelled like fresh Mexican food. We ordered three chicken tamales for appetizer and they were okay, a little bit dry. For entrees we order chimichangas, one chicken and one beef, and street tacos al pastor. Every single thing was delicious. The refried beans and cheese that came with the chimichangas were SO GOOD! The tacos al pastor came with yellow rice, beans, and pico de gallo - the carne al pastor was very good and the pico de gallo was FRESH! We had a Pacifico and a Modelo to go with the food Our server, Lupita, was very friendly. The prices were affordable. The ambiance was very Mexican, the colors, the lamps, the cacti, Chichen Itza murals on the walls...Love it!

Orders were served within timely manner. The taco plate i ordered was delicious. The shrimps were freshly pan seared The tortillas were heated as well. The carne asada was tasty too. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. I also tried their fried plantain which it was yum but greasy. Their cakes were moist and sweet. The interior of the restaurant is broad, and we were able to move the tables around to combine a couple tables. They do not have outdoor seating. Overall, this place gets a 4.6 out of 5. We went up to the cashier who was training a new employee and they were very friendly and waited for us to decide what we'd like to order. My daughter chose a quesadilla, my wife a salad bowl and I chose the burrito. We ordered chips and salsa plus cheese sauce. The food came out hot, flavorful and nicely prepared. The burrito was stuffed and made well with just the right seasonings, a little too much rice to meat ratio but that's to be expected these days. The salad bowl was nice but looked a bit odd as all the toppings and meat were at the bottom and the chopped romaine on top. The quesadilla was well made, hot and grill marked as expected. The sides of sour cream and salsa were cold and pre portioned. Overall the food scored well in flavor, presentation, temperature and speed of service. The lackluster side of the operation dragged that down. No music, no availability of hot sauces, and the wall or heat not even plugged in and lit up or filled up. They mainly had two sauces available and had one per section at best. The other ones we wanted were there but empty, as well as the sauce at the table. Lastly the disgusting hot sauce spilled all over the condiment container was not very appealing, appetizing or clean. I just pushed it aside and went about the meal. It's a shame to see what was once a vibrant dining location ended up as a dull, lifeless operation. Probably best to order to go and perhaps that's what they were going for that night. Bathrooms were clean, soda station needed to be wiped down, sauce racks cleaned and stocked and table condiment racks boiled and sanitized. Meh at best. Suggest you bring your own hot sauce, and container of sanitizer wipes plus hand sanitizer.

Our server barely understood English, and even simple questions turned into a whole situation. I asked FOUR separate times whether the spicy salsa was free. I literally said, "If it's free, I'll take it. If not, never mind." The server kept saying yes, it was free... so we ate it. Then the check comes out with a $3.99 charge for the salsa When I asked why it was charged after being told multiple times it was free, the server still kept saying "free" while staring at the receipt. At that point I had to ask for the manager because we were clearly not communicating. The manager said there was a "language barrier issue," BUT because we already ate it, we still had to pay for it. That part honestly blew my mind. If I asked about the price four times before ordering, clearly the whole point was that I didn't want it if it cost extra What made it worse was the attitude. The server never apologized once and the manager acted super confident like this was somehow normal. And honestly... the food wasn't even worth the drama. Everything was ridiculously salty, and the salsa tasted like someone mixed it with water. Cool interior. Terrible experience. Definitely not coming back.

The food here is delicious. We order every week on Sundays, and we are happy with our orders every time. I have been getting the Yucatan Salmon, which comes with rice, broccoli and zucchini. The only problem that we had here was that when I'd order the Yucatan Salmon on the website, I would order it with the Tamarindo sauce, rather than the mango sauce. However, it instead came with the mango sauce. This has happened many times in a row, and so instead, I just order the salmon plain and make my own sauce. Other than that, their food is incredible. Definitely the freshest, tastiest, and most authentic mexican food here in the Eastern Panhandle. read more
