I have heard of this swap meet for years but just recently went with friends to check it out. Then we happened upon El Pelon. It is a rustic set up with dirt floors and communal tables with all the cooking done in the middle of this location. They had a few racks of ribs still going but we wanted tacos. I ordered 3 of their carnitas tacos and really wish I'd gotten more to go. The meat is cooked perfectly, juicy with plenty of flavor on top of some nice corn tortillas. There is a condiment bar where I added onion/cilantro and salsa and the salsa! Deliciously spicy. The prices were ridiculously cheap too. We were all impressed and eager to return. The family running the stand was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Afterwards we walked around a bit then headed home and now this is a regular Sunday rotation for a group of friends. You need to take advantage while the weather is still bearable!
