gotta get the chorizo and asada y chorizo mixto. not sure if they usually chop up the chorizo, but…read morethey were very kind towards the end of the night and just gave us the whole pieces. worked out well bc it's a lot less crumbly and super meaty! the workers here are always friendly and get a kick out of my spanglish lol. ambience is casual and smoky. parking is a little tough but doable in the neighborhood / main street. we like salsa on the side bc it tends to be pretty spicy. no restroom, but the laundromat next door is open late and is a quarter to use the restroom. def in the top 2 la taco spots for me! happy i came back and gave it another try after my spicy first experience years ago. :)

The tostada was very hard and chewy thought I was going to brake a tooth. Asada meat and guacamole on the tostada had no salt. The only thing I was able to taste was the spicy salsa, which it's extremely spicy. My chorizo taco cold and the mulita was okay. Tortillas hand made which that's a plus Agua fresca de pineapple tasted water down too much just tasted the water with hint of pineapple. If you new to this place just know that you can ask for frijoles de la olla on the side they are free. I did like that they had grill onions and it's self serve. Street parking available, but know area not the best to be in. Tables have about 3 incase you planning eat there, & if super hungry know you will be waiting for a long time. It's really cool know it's a tire shop during the day and a taco shop in evenings. This place is very laid back attired unfortunately no music playing.

It is a 24 hour spot so anytime I'm enjoying a night out I need a quick snack or a meal, I stop by here. Their lines go pretty quickly if you're visiting during meal times, but they have their whole set up to be as efficient as possible. When ordering, you'll go up and order your items I always get tacos, but I've heard the other items are delicious as well. You get one free potato per person and I highly recommend grabbing one. Once you grab your potato, you'll head over to the cashier while you'll pay for your items. If you want any drinks, you can order it as well. Once you're finished paying, they have a salsa bar with onions and cilantro and limes. My usual is their Al pastor tacos! It's a tried and true method for me. Note that there isn't any seating, most people stand up and eat or head back to their car and eat on their trunks or inside their car. There's trash cans all around and I believe there are some porta potties. It's a great spot to hit up if you're hungry and need some tacos in your life. Make sure you clean up after yourself. This is a great spot!

Overall Avenue 26 Tacos is definitely a must try place if you're craving some delicious street tacos. I'll definitely be coming back!
