    Shrimp fajitas. Loved the sauce
    Lisa K.

My husband and I came here for some Mexican food with 4 other friends. Our reservation was for 6:30pm because we read on the website that happy hour ended at around 7:00pm. Unfortunately, the website wasn't updated and happy hour ends at 6:30pm. One of our friend's spoke fluent German, so she explained the situation. The worker was nice enough to give us the happy hour special, regardless of the recent change. The happy hour special consisted of all mixed beverages at a flat rate of 6 euros. The original prices were about 7-10 euros. That's a decent deal, but still not as good as the states. We ordered maybe a dozen drinks from the classics like margaritas, mojitos, pina coladas, and other fruity cocktails. The boys ordered the stronger stuff like the zombies and Long Island iced teas. The drinks were relatively strong, but I personally liked the mojitos the best! They have different dips that you can order as an appetizer. We tried 6 different dips-- salsa and guacamole, picco di Galla, a lime-based dip, a tomato-paste dip, and one that tasted like peanut butter. I had the shrimp fajitas-- shrimp was marinated in a semi-spicy, but flavorful sauce. It also came with sautéed onions and bell peppers. When you order fajitas- you get a very tiny scoop of guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and onions. Tip: add some of the dips from the appetizer, if you want extra spice! ;) My husband ordered the flautos con pollo. He said it tasted good, but his only complaint was there was no cheese. I was alittle surprised because i thought all Mexican dishes came with cheese. Luckily, I had some to spare and that made it taste better. The service was pretty good, especially since there were only 2 girls working. The only other tips to leave for my fellow yelpers is make sure you bring your smart phone for google translate (if you don't know german) and make sure to get a reservation because by 7:45pm, this place was jammed packed!! You can make a reservation on line or give them a call. Happy eating!

    Tacos

I came with a large group on a Saturday night so naturally the place was hoping, quite busy. Service was a bit slow, which is to be expected. I ordered Tacos and they were way better then expected. One minor complaint is it came with a huge bowl of meat but only 3 tacos, and extra couple would have been nice. Overall excellent food and a nice atmosphere recommended

More like El Germanico. Mexico-wannabe food, sadly unauthentic.

That said: there is a good reason for this secretiveness: 1) It's small and the atmosphere is private 2) The drinks are made with a great accuracy by masters of their art 3) It's for connaisseurs who worship good drinks The location is great for very small groups from 2 to 4. The atmosphere stimulates good conversations and at times you feel like a visionary from the 20s... Worth the experience!

Ambiance (4/5): You may have trouble finding this speakeasy if you don't do your research prior. It's located inside what looks like the entrance to an apartment. Walk in, press the buzzer, and the hostess will greet you. Once you get inside, it's dimly lit with old school charm. My only complaint. No A/C and uncomfortable chairs. Service (4/5): At a speakeasy, you expect elevated service. And it was good here. Our waiter answered our questions, made recommendations, and had a good sense of humor. When he was asked what a popular cocktail is in Germany, he said beer. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet, and I don't think they have food anyway. Drinks (4/5): They have a long list of craft cocktails which is a plus. What I look for at a speakeasy is creativity and an interesting blend of flavors. While some of the options on their menu are basic cocktails, there are some interesting ones, too. The one I had, while the name is escaping me, had a nice fruity and refreshing profile. One of the coolest bars I checked out in Frankfurt. Prost!

I must start this by saying that I have not had a cocktail here. I have simply ordered beer. If I…read moreever do go there to enjoy a cocktail, I will update this review accordingly. Frankfurters seem to love these little places along the Main. Why? Because there are hardly any of them. You go to many other places in Germany or Europe and they really utilize the shore of the river and have an abundance of cafes and bars and restaurants. Frankfurt does not (maybe it floods here frequently or something that I don't know about). So places like Main Cocktailbar are very popular during the warmer months amongst locals. I will start of by saying that the reason this place gets crap-all stars is because the service is horrendous. I think for everyone sitting in a chair outside of it (like 100 or so of us), there was one server. Most everyone acknowledges this and just goes to the tent itself. But stilllllllll.......... slow slow slow. Twenty minutes to grab a beer is quite ridiculous. With that being said, I am glad this place exists. I am not eager to run back over that way as I can cheaply just take a cooler and drink anywhere alongside the river, but every so often it is nice to pop by a place like this. It fills with cyclists, dogs, kids, and adults just having a great time. My dog even enjoyed himself there.

Was hoping to go to the bar in the Frankfurt Main Tower, but if you didn't have a reservation…read moreprior, it would be virtually impossible so we decided to go the 22nd instead which I would argue, is an equally fantastic experience. We were seated immediately when we got there at around 8pm at the bar. We were surprised there wasn't that many people at first, but realized soon enough that people really started trickling in at around 10-11pm. The bar set up was pretty cool as you can see the bartenders do all their tricks, and they are all extremely knowledgeable and willing to share their learnings with you. The vibes were also wonderful because of the views and also the live music they had on. - Highball - I think this is officially my new favorite alcoholic drink especially the way they make it here which is more lemon-y and less bitter which I like. I'm a huge fan of ginger ale so this drink really went along my taste palate. - Grapefruit Gimlet - Wasn't as big of a fan as this one. I did appreciate the fruity bits of it mixed into it as it added a very fresh flavor, but I felt like the gin was a bit too strong for my taste. I do have to say though that you are able to let them barista know how to modify the drink which is nice. My knowledge of alcohol is just quite limited so I don't have a ton of reference points to go off of. Overall, fantastic bar especially for the vibes and the highball. We ended up staying in there for 3-4 hours. I do have to say that the drinks are quite pricey though so as long as you are aware of that before coming in. Pricey meaning, expect to pay for than €15, but then again, I guess €15 for a very good 3-4 hour night is not all that bad.
