I ordered thru Uber Eats. Many times I have ordered from them. The food is amazing! I order tamales to go sometimes. Today I had chorizo tacos, so good! I also had Elotes (Mexican corn) it was spectacular! My order was prepared quickly. I can't say enough about their delicious food. Give it a try, you won't be sorry. read more

The owner was so kind - answered our questions thoughtfully and offered us a taste of their aqua frescos so we could choose. The taco del Neno and the quesabirria were both amazing. The interior is very cute and it looks like they do a nice take out business as well. read more

El Neno - Interior - Tacos Near Me - Beloit, Wisconsin

The meat smells funny it had no seasoning no flavor The sauces are below average how this place has such a high score is unbelievable.

Delicious food. Small place but good service. The horchata was very creamy and delicious.

I spent a day in Beloit for work and was unfortunately in Zoom meetings that overlapped with my lunchtime. I quickly took a look at what food I could order for delivery, and being pretty unfamiliar with the area chose Tacos Neno despite not having heard of it before. I knew I was taking a risk and even told my coworkers that my lunch was either going to be a bust or be amazing and worth the risk. Lucky for me, it was the latter! With about two minutes to review the menu, I chose to get 3 tacos al pastor and a side of rice and beans. My delivery through Uber Eats was super quick and the food was nice and warm. The tacos.... After my first bite I had to let my coworkers on Zoom know that the lunch order had been a success! The squeeze of lime was the perfect addition to the meaty tacos. I didn't have room for the rice and beans then but took it home and enjoyed it later! I would absolutely order from Tacos Neno and in fact would seek it out as quality tacos can be elusive! read more

Quick take out food in my neighborhood--good food and friendly people! I like the quesadillas and the burritos.

As most of you know I have been a long-time fan of El Nenos. I decided to order the carnitas meal (their special), along with two elotes and some cheese sauce. We went through door dash for the delivery. The carnitas was supposed to come with three drinks, guacamole, tortillas and one would expect cilantro and onions. We received no drinks, no guacamole, no cilantro and onions, and no elote. When I called to try to rectify the situation I was told I would have to go to their location to correct it. Sadly, there is a reason why I had to go with delivery. Also, there was no offer to refund for any of the missing order The meal cost almost 50 dollars to be this grossly incorrect. I am now on the hunt for tacos elsewhere. read more

The steak street tacos were good, didn't pop with flavor. Side dish of rice and beans were cold. Home made salsa had a date of 10/23/23. Table was dirty. Service was subpar. Waitstaff we're eating next to food carry out area in front of customers. Waitstaff never washed hands after eating food before serving customers or after handling cash. read more

I love the variety of vegetarian options, and the value is really good too. My favorite so far is the rajas and cheese gordita, but bean and cheese gordita, quesadillas, and the veggie taco are also great. It can get busy and they're a bit understaffed, and it's definitely got that hole in the wall atmosphere, but it's clean. read more

4.5 eh I don't think so, while the service was good the food was not so good. We ended up leaving because it was gross and not authentic Mexican food. Do not recommend. read more

Just don't go. We sat down at 7pm on a Friday night and we were the only ones in the joint. Service was decent. The food came out and I swear it is the worst "Mexican" I have ever had. The chicken was boiled and the steak tasted rotten. We got up and left after 1 bite. read more

I ordered 3 steak tacos and horchata. The tacos were very bland not very exciting. The portion size was disappointing since they cost $2.50. The horchata was good but far too sweet for my taste. The had chips but instead of salsa they have hot sauce cups. The hot sauces were spicy but flavorless. The restaurant was rather dumpy, the chairs were falling apart ect. read more

This ranks one of the top Mexican restaurants in Beloit - if you want REAL, AUTHENTIC Mexican food. The service here is quick and the food is amazing. The rice and beans are cooked perfectly as well. The tacos are also perfectly juicy, like you know when there's too much grease in the meat that when you take a bite, there's juice all over your arm? Not with these! This place is Great for a cheap date night! read more

We may have a new champion of the BEST Mexican food (street style) in all the Beloit, WI area! This place is delicious! By far the BEST guacamole I've had in ALL of Wisconsin. We normally have to "lime up" our guac whenever we get it from others needless to say we did not have to do it with this one, it is that GOOD! Like another reviewer posted the thing that got me to try this spot is that they do NOT "americanize" their food unlike other (cough cough) Mexican food spots in town which are really Tex-Mex fare. Though they did get our order wrong, I'm sure it had to due with the stress that is going around during this pandemic. The burritos and tacos were delicious as was the gordita. I really hope this place sticks around because this might be our new #1 when compared to "La Mexicana" on the other side of the river. I will update this review when we order again. read more

This place is good!! Small menu but you don't need any more than they have. Food was excellent and the staff friendly. Try the pastor.

Drop dead amazing tacos. I dont think you can best this place service amazing., food fresh, and food tastes amazing would def recommend

Excellent, fresh, authentic Mexican food. Food was made to order and came out quickly. The prices were very reasonable and fair portions. Tacos came with onions, cilantro, lime wedges, and two spicy salsa sauces. The Birria tacos were my favorite. Little place with booths, two bathrooms, and murals all over the walls. read more

Best tacos we've ever had, including in Puerto Vallarta! Be sure to try a Quesabirria! Alambre taco was also great!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. It was BUUUSY... and I know why. Ambiance was great... food was delicious. Tried the Campechano, Al Pastor and Asada tacos... all 3 were great. Favorite was probably the Al Pastor. Definitely recommend. The only reason not more stars, was that there were some issues with my gf's tacos... lots of fat and nerves. Mine were great but she was disappointed. Would love to come back and give them a chance for redemption. read more

The burritos are tasty and fully evolved dishes. Not too heavy and satisfying. They are far superior to the "Chipotle" versions of Mexican burritos. The red salsa is hot and tasty The green salsa is balanced and good. read more

Excellent food and burritos are delicious exceptionally the one with Birria. I eat there every time I'm in. Eliot for business.

Man, if you're from Chicago, and you found yourself in the middle of Wisconsin/Rockford area, and you can't seem to find a good enough Mexican joint... I highly recommend this spot. Fresh food, fresh asada, pastor was okay but their asada burrito was fucking FIRE. Please SUPPORT THEM! this place needs to last, they're legitimately the best place I've had since I've left Chicago, and that's speaking volumes. read more

Most delicious tacos in Beloit. I will never go anywhere else for tacos. Try the taco Neno, it's life changing.

Fire. Bomb. Delicious. There are only about 3 places I take my out of town friends to, and this is one of those places. I will pay whatever they want to eat there lol. Fantastic!! Bravo!! read more

The guacamole is perfectly seasoned, and the chorizo is the best around. Expect all the salsas to have heat and the service to be all it needs to be. A great value. read more

This is (arguably) the best taco place in the stateline area. The food is genuinely authentic Mexican street food. They serve great portions and of all the 10+ times I've gone, the food has been phenomenal. I love in Rockford and have ate at almost every taco place in the Rockford area, but this little Beloit corner diner is by far the best. I suppose if I needed to think of a con, the only, "complaint," I would have is that the salsa roja and salsa verde are always inconsistent. Sometimes one is spicier than the other, sometimes neither of them are that spicy, and sometimes they're both super spicy; but the salsas are always good regardless. By the way, if you like horchata, but sometimes you worry about ordering it because it might be too sweet, or maybe not sweet enough, I can guarantee you won't have that issue here. Their horchata has always been perfect. Highly recommend this place. read more

Great tacos, especially the house special "Taco Neno" which is an al pastor taco with cheese and is spectacular! You can also get that as a torta. Good food! read more

Best tacos pastor I have had! Also enjoyed the chorizo tacos and the homemade guacamole. Affordable, great quality, a hidden gem.

Found this place and fell in love with the torta and tacos. Lots of meat (steak is all I've had and it's excellent) huge bread and jalapenos / tacos are street sized with fresh onion and cilantro. I'd defiantly recommend this place, it's clean and the service is fast and friendly. They don't offer cans of regular soda inside, but there is a bunch of .50 vending machines out back, which by the way is the best place to park. read more
