The whole process was very transparent. Was enough to win our business again. But we got into trouble twice, we hit a diamond road sign (which was not visible from the rear view mirror) and we were hit by another truck on the avenue of the giant which broke the driver side mirror. We duct taped a plastic mirror purchased from NAPA and completed our trip. We reported the incidents to AdventureKT (Which you always must do, it is not only the right thing to do, also it helps you and AdventureKT both to handle the situation, no one likes surprises right, when you are an adult :)). When returning, Chris took the video and picture of the slightly damaged vehicle. And told me they will follow up with me later on. We took outdoorsy third party insurance, where we hit some roadblock. But Chris and team went above and beyond to work with me, because if outdoorsy didnt pay for it, it would have been our responsibility. They kept in touch throughout the process and at the end with their help, outdoorsy approved the repair. This is very important, because it was on of the situation where AdventureKT was in loss, they couldnt use the vehicle for few days. But Chris kept his cool. One day i was upset and I was close to loose my cool, but Christ was professional with his assuring voice and did whatever he promised to do, in this not so ideal situation. Will rent from AdventureKT again, but do read the fine print of the insurances, which I was offered to purchase from outdoorsy.

DISASTER I brought…read moremy RV to J's RV to remount my grey water tank. The result was very sloppy, unprofessional, and incomplete work. I requested a $500 refund to cover the cost to fix the issues. The owner Jason refused, and requested I bring it BACK to him to correct and finish the work? I have ZERO faith in J's to correct the issues they caused. Sloppy and Incomplete work includes: 1. The tank was mounted unevenly (is not level) and much lower than original and in comparison, to the black tank next to it. (As a result, will not correctly monitor water level) 2. The drainpipe is now lowest point of the undercarriage and easily dislodged if something hits it. 3. The shower plumbing was left exposed easily accessible to mice/vermin. 4. A gaping hole was left exposing the freshwater tank and plumbing also accessible to mice/vermin. 5. J's could not get the tank sensors and level monitor to work. Turns out the wires and ground were out of order. I followed the pattern on the black and freshwater tanks and now works fine. Go anywhere else! JB

He was very apologetic and said he wanted me as a customer and would do whatever it took. He asked what I needed to make it right. I thought about it and messaged him back that I wanted a 10% refund on my trip and a promise to have a newer model RV in 2026. Guess what? I never heard from him. No surprise there. With tons of adventures and activities planned we knew we needed a versatile vehicle to accomodate our jam-packed schedule. Sandy Vans came through huge! We rented Lt. Van Taylor for the three-day weekend and used it to its full capacity. We transported surfboards, bicycles, luggage, and more. We drove around town in style, had a comfortable place to sit and eat our burritos, and had a restful spot to recharge with a quick nap between activities. We own a travel trailer and a 5th wheel, but our tow vehicle was out of commission. Despite this setback, we had a camping trip planned with a few other families. Booking was super easy; they were incredibly accommodating, especially since we had many moving parts and I can be a bit high-maintenance when coordinating these types of things with other families. We rented the 36' Genesis Supreme toy hauler, which was in pristine condition! Even though we brought everything from our travel trailer, they provided all the necessities and even had the beds made up. It literally came with everything you would need as a starting point. Where we were camping, it was HOT (high 90s to the 100s) during the day, and the A/C was amazing! The "master" bedroom had a REAL mattress; it was so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed. We had the RV dropped off at a military base and it was agreed that they would drive in on base and set it up. The guy who delivered didn't have a CA Real ID" and they wouldn't let him in the base. We needed up having to set it up and there was some issues with the hook up hoses. We had to purchase a hose and it still leaked. I left a couple messages and emails and got no answers. We ended up figuring everything out and had a great time. The guy brought his passport and picked up the RV with no issue. It took several calls after the rental to get ahold of someone about the issues we had with the drop off and set up. The only reason we got a return call is that I indicated that I was going to write a review. All in all, not such a bad experience that I wouldn't rent from them again. Now I know how to navigate the conversation of what our expectations are.

I will never rent from this company again. Let me start by…read moresaying I am an experienced RV renter -- I seek out specific models based on what I know and what matters to me on a trip. The listing for this RV stated it came with an e-bike and Starlink. My rental agreement confirmed both. One week before pickup, I received a text from Oscar saying the e-bike and Starlink were actually add-ons, and that he needed to check availability. I responded by email pointing out that both were included in my signed rental agreement and that I expected either both items to be available or a price adjustment. No response. Oscar was not present when we arrived, and Dorian told me there was nothing he could do or he would get in trouble. He refused to call anyone or escalate the issue. I needed the RV, so I had no choice but to accept it. See the attached rental agreement. We specifically rent the Mercedes-Benz version because we are familiar with it, and a key reason is its self-leveling stabilization system, which minimizes rocking. We were not informed until we showed up that this feature had been disabled. Dorian claimed customers damage it. I paid a premium for this model specifically for that feature, and it was disabled without any prior notice. For a 2024 model, this RV is in rough shape. Everything functioned and it was reasonably clean, but the interior has clearly been neglected. Among other issues, the original shower slider was replaced with a cheap curtain rod rather than being properly repaired. See attached photos. Do not be fooled by how friendly and responsive they are during the booking process. This company falsely advertises its vehicles and will not honor its own rental agreements, even when you have everything in writing.

Reserving the trailer was very simple as well. Invoices were sent directly to my email. Clean up was very simple. Packed our stuff up cleaned up and headed out. The crew came to pick up the trailer. We only rented for two days at campland by the bay. It was a rainy day on our last stay. And the heater was out of propane. Which really sucked. Especially since we had babies with us. Unfortunately we couldn't refill our propane because it ran out at 11 at night. And the place to refill in the park was closed at 9. So we had to make the best of it and sleep in jackets and double sweat pants.

Took it to a Freightliner shop on Miramar Road that was more focused on fleet vehicles and they were dismissive, didn't repair what was needed, went over the quoted price without advising us, didn't complete the work in the time promised, and communication was poor. We picked it up after 3+ weeks of minimal progress. California Coast was recommended by a friend and we are very impressed with every aspect of their business. We brought the RV in and they did an end-to-end inspection of the engine, steering, suspension, electrical, etc. with photos and advice on what was urgent vs. needed in the future. We talked with Vinnie several times and he was incredibly patient with our questions and gave well detailed answers. All work was completed on time. as promised and at a very fair price. The office manager (Donita) is a gem. We have a warranty and she facilitated coverage and helped us understand the warranty details and process. We asked them about upgrading the suspension and Vinnie provided several options. We chose a mid-range upgrade and after service was completed we took the RV on a 22 day, 2300 mile trip and everything worked great! The suspension upgrade made a HUGE difference on some rough roads (looking at you, I5 in Nor Cal ). Donita called a few weeks after our service to see how things were going, if we needed anything, etc. It was a nice personalized touch. We are relieved to have found a trustworthy local business to work with and highly recommend them!
