This is a no- go for me. I was hoping to find something close by my work place, but this was just terrible. Right at $10 spent here, and it wasn't even close to worth it. This is their taco Tuesday tacos. That isn't a taco. I don't know what to call it. Super small and definitely not worth it. The steak quesadilla is flavor less and just plain bad. The rice was absolutely second day rice and not worth eating. I literally taste it and tossed it. The staff was helpful and nice which is why I'm giving 2 stars but for the food, definitely pass on this location. read more

The ACP is terrible. It was definitely made with no love, no cheese, no chicken and very undercooked rice.

The best chili poblano in Wayne county! (Yes, I've tried them all.) However, we prefer a picante sauce over their queso sauce on top. The shrimp ceviche is also note worthy. The service was outstanding. Except for not serving Margaritas, this may be our new favorite for authentic Mexican food. read more

I'm originally from Los Angeles and finding a good taco spot is difficult. This place is awesome!!! They have authentic Mexican food with a wide variety of options. The staff is friendly and attentive. I had four tacos!!! Asada, Carnitas, Lengua, and Tripa. They were absolutely delicious and fresh. My husband got a burrito but I forgot to take a pic, however I tried it and it was delicious. Can't wait to try more of their food. read more

Food lukewarm at best. Chicken soup had lots of flavor, but wasn't hot at all. Rice sticky and congealed like it had been sitting a while. No utensils provided, even though they were requested when placing the order. If you deliver to a hotel, one would expect that utensils would be needed. Would never order from here again. read more

I had the shrimp ceviche and the shrimp cocktail. I'm happy to say that the ceviche is made/cooked the way I expect it. It gave it more punch I was looking for. The shrimp cocktail gave me nostalgic LA San Pedro vibes (without the michelada) if they did the rim the cup and add a little more kick. All the vegetables and condiments that go in these dishes were the taste I was searching for. Mexican seafood on point for these dishes. I'll come back and keep trying more. read more

This place is heads above some of the other Mexican restaurants around here. They have the absolute freshest tacos I've had locally - don't forget about $1 tacos on Tuesday. They have specials every day, like $1 quesadillas on Thursday. And I absolutely love the fact that you don't have to wait around for salsa, because El Campomar features a salsa bar where you can serve yourself and make your own. The salsa bar is the big seller for me, because it features fresh pico, traditional salsa, salsa verde, a couple different types of hot sauce (try the house made habanero), fresh cilantro, limes, and even guac - and it is all free of charge! Also, they have some terrific enchiladas and chimichangas. I highly recommend. read more

My hubby and I went to this restaurant and the place is decent. Only flies loves to visit our table from time to time. The service is great and the staffs are very attentive. The menu has a good variety of food to choose and they have my favorite cow tongue taco...of course I ordered the cow tongue taco... The taco taste pretty good, only the outer shell (or the edge of the shell)was a bit too dry, but other than that everything taste pretty good. Oh and they do have a help salsa bar so we can help ourselves to get hot sauce, salsa sauce, onions and cilantro all that kinda of good stuff. Overall, I like this place. Will definitely come back for more cow tongue tacos :) read more

Ordered takeout and my taco was literally just a shell, no meat cheese or lettuce. The food I did get was honestly just bad quality in general. The service is good and the people are nice but the food is cheap for a reason. Food taste dry and freezer burned. Definitely wouldn't recommend. read more

Worst Mexican restaurant in Goldsboro nothing looked fresh . The salsa bar seemed like it had been sitting there for a few days. My tacos where cold and the tortilla was hard in the ends. This place was horrible and worst Mexican restaurant I have been to. First we never got menus I had to get up and get one for me and my table. Also waitress served everyone but us and took a very long time to get her attention, the salsa bar looked old and lackluster. My food (chicken taco, rice n beans) were COLD with zero flavor not even salt, the beans literally tasted like baby food beans, same with the Mexican rice!! Also I did get to see one of the cooks come from the back and went to bathroom and he looked so dirty w/apron his clothes were so dirty, wearing an apron to the bathroom is unsanitary. Best, most authentic Mexican food for miles. Definitely best in Goldsboro. I moved down from NYC and there is a Mexican restaurant or food truck on every block. This place is even better than most places there. Delicious sauces and everything is fresh and made to order. I love the tripe. It's not a common menu item but when it's done well Its as good as any bacon. Their chipotles sauce and pastor style are awesome read more
