Puebla is another example or a real authentic place in Vineland where having a Spanish dictionary…read morewould come in handy. I went into this place one day out of desperation-- it has an unimpressive exterior, but it was 90 degrees and my 4 year old was whining she was thirsty while we were running errands downtown. Now I am very glad I took a chance. This place is a gem! The menu is made to order authentic mexican fast food-- cheap tacos, burritos and more. This tiny place also doubles as a mini grocery and bakery. All the baked goods are made daily by one guy. I don't know what any of the items are called, and since no one there speaks English, I just point and smile and walk out with something amazing for pennies (with a handwritten menu on posterboard). I don't need to know what it's called to know it tastes good. For example, one day I got a bag full of lightly sweetened breakfast rolls-- 6 for $1!!! They have the most beautiful birthday cakes! My favorite baked goods is this giant mexican corn & walnut muffin. At only a dollar, it's a steal compared to the prepacked nasty muffins that are sold at the convience store for the same price. Coupled with a mexican pina colada yogurt treat, I've got a great breakfast for 2 bucks

I visited on 10-16-2018. Yes, it was a Tuesday. I had to have my "taco Tuesday" fix. I ordered 3…read moreof the Lengua tacos. They were amazingly good. I wish i could have had more, but I was satiated with the 3 tacos. They have a lot of other meats for tacos available, so I'll have to visit again and try other things. They also do a few other choice "Mexican" dishes. They had a "Salsa"/Hot Sauce bar which was hidden away with fresh sauces (refrigerated case). I tried a bit of each one and they were tasty. They ranged from mild, all the way to "melt your face off" hot. Mind you, it's really one or two people really running the joint and they make everything fresh and to order so you may end up waiting a while. It's a really small joint. Just a bakery that also happens to have a very small convenience store (with lots of snacks and drinks) and a taco joint in the back. Therefore, it's very easy to see why people would just walk on by this place and not stop in. If you're ever in Vineland, NJ and you want "real authentic" tacos, this is the place to go.

However, the portions were very limited in comparison to the price. I think they are getting a little greedy with pricing and portions. One person in my party ordered the mixed fajitas and it's was more than $20 for about a 6oz a chopped meats with vegetables, a hand full of rice and half a cup of refried beans. The person in my party that received the food looked at it, look up at me and said "really". Another person said "isn't that more than $20?". The person that ordered it cringed and apologized for ordering since we were paying. Another person ordered a burrito and it came all by itself on a plate. The put nothing to even make it look good. Another order was tacos and the meat was not even hot. Soft drinks came to $8 for the large and $6 for the small. Place hadn't been bad before reason why we decided to go this time, but I felt like I got robbed. Tab came to $100, when in other places that serve high quality food would charge $80 or less for the same things we ordered. The place looks nice though and the service was good. I just think those prices need to be checked or the portions need to be larger. I have been to the Mariachi Loco in Hammonton and with this kind of tab I would have fed an extra person or two.

We asked for salsa, but the waitress kept bringing out Tapatío instead. There was also a language barrier, so we ended up having to communicate in Spanish. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal wasn't much better. The chips were stale, and the rice and beans were not good at all--the beans were completely blended and lacked flavor. Overall, the food was very underwhelming and I would not recommend this place.

There were easily 6-7 customers in front of me, but I didn't wait long. The gentleman taking orders was fast and efficient! He handed out numbers to avoid order confusion. Each order was made to order, but the wait for my food was minimal. Two woman were in the truck preparing food fast and furiously! I ordered a beef taco and chicken sopes. The taco came on two soft corn tortillas, fresh cut onion, and cilantro. Why do I butcher the simplicity of tacos with sour cream, gauc, and salsa? This taco with three ingredients was amazing! The beef was tender with a mild flavor, the fresh chopped onion and cilantro complimented the beef nicely. No condiments needed! The sopes was on thicker corn tortilla with the edges turned up so the filling didn't fall off. It was packed with refried beans, seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. While not as simple in flavors as a taco with three ingredients, it too, was amazing! The chicken was in a light red sauce, not dripping wet, but tender. It was hard to tell if the refrieds were fresh or not, but they tasted authentic either way. The lettuce was shredded thinly, and the dollop of sour cream was just enough, not too little, not too much. I will eat from Rosa's again!
