I've had fish tacos in this region before, and I've always been disappointed. However, Dos Amigos provides the freshest food I've had with an authentic taste of Mexico added. They handmake their salsa and chips every single day. The fish in their tacos is tilapia, slightly breaded and crunchy, yet soft and firm. I should have taken a picture, but I devoured them so quick ! I highly recommend this restaurant. Dos Amigos has a lot of other types of food besides Mexican; they have pizza, puffs, hotdogs, a poor boy meal plus spaghetti. But they offer the best Mexican fare!

We tried a total of four different tacos, four different tamales, and a tostada. All were very good but the stand outs were the fish taco, green sauce pork tamale, and the al pastor tostada. In fact the tostada is likely the best one I have had anywhere. All that and very reasonably priced at around $1-$3 per item! If this place were close to home I would definitely be a regular.

Overall, it was a really good meal as we stopped for a charge on our way to Champaign.

She gave us the standard chips and salsa to start and then brought salsa verde with the meal. I would definitely eat there again, but we were just passing through on vacation. The table was dirty and the chairs were sticky. They brought our food. My friend's tacos had no tomatoes, no onions, and only two of them had cheese. The last one did not. My burrito had absolutely nothing on it except for the meat and lettuce. No sour cream, no cheese, no tomatoes, no onions. I pointed this out and asked them to either refund my money or make me a proper one. He said they would make me another one and he brought it out. It had meat, lettuce, a little sour cream, and two little squares of tomato placed strategically at the opening of either half. Still no cheese, still no onion and no other tomato other than the two little squares. I didn't feel like dealing with it again, so I just took it. Then we went to leave and he said that they were out of sacks. If you want to eat there again, you better hurry because I don't think they're going to be there long.
