Fried Fish, Rice, chorizo beans, and a simple salad
    Teresa S.

My Father-in-law loves this place, so I decided to give it a try. The food is good except for the rice. I love Mexican rice, and their rice was bland. The chorizo beans were good and so was the fried fish. I'm unsure about the service on a regular day but I assume that due to Covid, the waitress was backed up. It took her a while to bring us our food and drinks and we received our napkins a while after we got our food. It seemed as though she was the only waitress working and it could have been that there was only one cook. I wasn't too bothered by the delay of service under certain circumstances during these times. Over all, the food was good the service was "blah" would I return?........perhaps, but it won't be on my top list of restaurants to eat at anytime soon.

Food was decent, tortillas where soggy which was hard to eat the taco all together. The reason for 3 stars is the customer service was not great, the server seemed like she didn't want to be there. She didn't give us any napkins and when we were done she took plates but took a brake to drink her coffee and speak with the cook. We had to literally get up and give her the card to get the price to pay and to leave. Also asked for water and was given water bottles I'm ok with that, but maybe people don't want to pay $1.50 for a water bottle.

I always love getting menudo soup here! Or fish soup! They're the best for hangover the thing I don't like about this place is the server has an attitude.

    It's dark in here!

I was getting food next door at Kabayan Bakery and I saw the 99 cent fish taco sign. I've seen this sign numerous times but I think it's only on Friday and Saturday, luckily it was a Friday. I'm a fish taco aficionado, so I decided to see what El Kora was about! I got 2 fried fish tacos to go. The fish portion of the taco was bigger than most and it was fried perfectly =).The salsa was very good, it had a lot of different spices and was pretty spicy! These are definitely worth every penny! I went yesterday and I'm probably going today for lunch!

4 fish tacos for 99 cents each. Looks big, but just a lot of lettuce and soggy tortillas.

Pretty dissapointed. Food was ok but too pricey. Service was super slow. The only good thing is the music and the shows they have.

The only thing I can consider to make it so was that they microwaved the chile relleno before putting it into the tray with the others. I could not eat it so I asked them if I could exchange it for the bistec ranchero quisado served over the same whole pinto beans, which they did. The bistec ranchero was okay. There definitely needed to be more of it. Some of the pieces were tender, as it should be, and other pieces were kinda chewy. They need to make sure they clean out, as best they can, the connected tissues and fats off the meat. The sauce the meat came in was pretty good. The pinto beans were fair. They were tender and properly cooked, but were onthe bland side and could of benefited from some seasoning, garlic, onions, etc. They give you corn tortillas when you order a guisado, which were perfect for making tacos and dipping them in the sauce. They corn tortillas were good. The service was friendly and offered good conversation. They offer a variety of guisados, including beef with potatoes in a green sauce, queso panela with nopales, chicharron en salsa verde, mole, albondigas, and the chile rellenos.

So many that they even outnumber 7-11's. So we have a lot of options. Rambertos is a taco shop that has been in the Spring Valley area very early on. It has lasted the test of time. Since then years later, a Jack In The Box was built next to it and after that just recently a Yoshinoya on the other side. One of the reasons Rambertos has lasted so long is the consistent tasting food. The quality control is very good. Right now it's my family's go to taco shop. With a large menu, there are a lot of choices to pick from. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, sopas and carne asada nachos are among the things you can order. Early morning to late night; you don't even have to leave your car. Just use the drive thru window. With so many taco shops around. What makes Rambertos so special? Well first they have been here for years. So they have to be doing something right. With so many changes all around. Rambertos still remains a constant. Secondly, the taco shop serves some of the best Mexican cuisine in the Valley. Thirdly, with everything from gas to groceries. Everything is expensive. Rambertos is affordable and won't break the bank. So support local businesses especially the good ones. Rambertos is exceptional.
