The salsa has a kick and extra spicy. I don't eat hot & spicy so if you are the same I'd order w/o salsa. Agua de jamaica was delish. After seeing so many positive reviews on TikTok, we decided to bring our family here for breakfast…read moreduring our vacation in Rosarito. Overall, it was a very good experience, but not quite a 5-star visit. The food was fresh and delicious, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. While we waited for our meal, they brought out a complimentary dessert and fresh fruit plate, which was a thoughtful touch and a nice surprise. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't allow outside drinks. Our server politely informed us that my daughter couldn't have her Gatorade inside the restaurant. It wasn't a huge deal, but I wish there was a little more flexibility for families with young kids. The other reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the seasoning. While the food was good, I felt it needed a little more flavor. Maybe our taste buds in the U.S. are just used to stronger seasoning, but I found myself wishing for a bit more salt and seasoning to really make the dishes pop. Overall, the food quality is excellent, the complimentary fruit and dessert were a nice touch, and I can definitely see why this place is so popular. I'd still recommend giving it a try and would come back the next time I'm in Rosarito.

Bad: * Very small café not good for large group parties. * A bit more pricey for the quality of food and drinks. * They prefer USD dollars or card. Conclusions: Due to the great services we were provided by the waiter, and if we're ever back in La Playas for breakfast or brunch, we would go back to San Miguel restaurant. I will highly recommend you try it.

My only pet peeve about the food was that a lot of the breadsticks that you see posted in the photos are either over cooked or reheated multiple times. They are entirely too hard. They're supposed to be slightly crunchy but soft but they are as hard as a biscotti. The three stars on my review were because of the security guard and the bread. Nevertheless, I will be going back.
