El Jardín atmosférico!
Reign A.

All I can say is WOW! I had the Father F plate. Sorry no pictures - I ate it too quickly. Migas + jalapeños = chilaquiles add chorizó and cheese and viola! Father F plate. Don't tarry though- they close at 1:30PM. Great coffee and great service. Don't even show up if you're against the blue - they're pro-LEO. Come on with an appetite. Oh and don't forget to ask for the homemade salsa - hot and amazing!

No photo of the food because we were being heavily watched, despite the no-service treatment. Photo is just to show I was actually there

I can't give this place zero stars, or I would... I took my boyfriend to Galveston for his birthday... we were excited to find a Mexican place open early in the morning. I'm pretty sure we probably busted a KKK meeting when we walked in at 5am. We both have service industry backgrounds, we are respectful and tip well. It was like pulling teeth getting anyone to take our order. We almost left.... There was sticky syrup on the walls by their trashy decorations, his food came out charred, but mine came out better-looking. I'm white and he's black... We decided to leave and he didn't eat much of his food. It was possibly the most racist experience I had with him. Blue lives matter flag splashed with food on the wall didn't help. Gross. Awful. Go somewhere else, especially if you have more melanin than the rest.

Chicharrón/ pork eggs, Yummmmm

This place is amazing! We're new Galvestonians & fell in love w this place! It's a hole in the wall Don't be scared to come in! It's AMAZING I'm Peruvian and my fiancé is Houstonian , we LOVED it!!! Barbacoa to die for & eggs and pork(chicharrón) to die for

What made up most of the burrito I didn't want, potato!

Must be a back in the day thing but now it is the worst place for a breakfast burrito in Galveston. I ordered an egg, cheese and bacon with extra bacon burrito. What did I get? A burrito with egg, cheese, bacon, bacon beans and 50 percent potato in it. I cannot eat potatoes. Why would you serve me potatoes if I specifically said no potato! Now at work I have to remove the potato only find the freaking bulk of the burrito is potatoes with some beans that looked like they were removed at the last second. So what did I get for breakfast? About a table spoon of egg and bacon. Take a chance with these idiots but they can't get a simple order filled. It would help if my order was actually written down so the cook could get it RIGHT! Not going to recommend this place if you want to get what you actually order.

AMAZING!!! The food here is perfection! It's that homemade, grandma/momo cooking, mamma loving food. With my first bite not only did my mind go back in time my tastebuds woke up! Our hearts are content and appetite highly taken care of, oh and their choice of music

No flavor. Will not be back. Ordered a carne guisada burrito and they didn't drain the juice and tortilla was drenched.

It has lasted this long for a reason. They offer classic…read moreTexMex dishes at a good price. The staff was friendly and quick to help with everything our party needed. While there may be better Mexican food on the island, this is a solid choice when you're craving comfortable and familiar food.

It opens at 8 am, so we waited around outside until it opened promptly. It has two main dining rooms, one of which was being used for the breakfast crowd. A basket of really good freshly fried thin tortilla chips were given with a decent salsa. We were given a breakfast menu, which had many things I wanted to try. 3 Barbacoa Tacos a la carte ($9.75) - a lot better deal than the plate (2 tacos with rice/beans/potatoes for $11.95). The tacos were good, decent size on a flour tortilla with cilantro, raw onions, and limes. It was decent quality shredded beef: moist and tender with good flavor. Menudo ($9.95) - only served on the weekend, this version was big with a ton of beef tripe (a lot more than there was hominy, which I'm not used to). I like tripe, but this amount was too much for me. The broth was flavorful and rich, and a good remedy for the little cold I had been fighting. Ended up finishing maybe half of it (ate all the hominy though). You pay at the front. Service was friendly throughout, and by the time we were leaving, the place was filling up. Parking is street, and there was plenty of it in the area.

I love the look layout and just about everything here. The variety of drink specials is remarkable. I especially enjoy the versions of Bloody Mary or similar Cuban variations. Since we didn't see a designated parking spot, we parked on street parking and thankfully it's off to the west end of the strand so not a lot of people on that side. We walked up and the place is absolutely beautiful! The decor definitely gives you Miami feels and you almost feel like you're not even in Galveston! The music and vibes are on point. Served greeted is and gave us the menus. And shortly after somebody came by with a basket of fried plantain chips and a green little sauce. As we looked at the menu, all sounded delicious, however, the prices didn't seem a bit high for the usual spot around Galveston. We skipped the appetizers and went into the meal. I got a Ropa Vieja and substituted the tostones with fried plantains for an extra $.50 and my bf got fish tacos. The ropa Vieja was accompanied by a salad, which was very fresh and was a good way to start off the meal. As soon as the meal came out, I had to try the meat and was so delicious and the meat was very tender, but I feel like the Mexican wanted some tortillas to go along with the meal ha! The fish tacos were ordered grilled and when they came out they did have a very fishy smell, but overall, they were pretty good! They were seasoned well and accompanied by a green sauce too. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try I know you're more of a budget type of person, the meals are definitely shareable.
