My friend and I stopped by for something to eat on our way to Coachella. We ordered our items to go and service was very quick. I had the CHILE RELLANOS and LENGUA TACOS. The street tacos were tasty, absolutely bursting with fillings. Make sure to add salsa on top though as it does not come with any inside. CHILE RELLANOS: Tasty but flavor was a bit light for the sauce. The chile was absolutely stuffed with cheese which was great but the breading was a little too thick for me. I also had half of the tater tots from my friends' breakfast burrito. They were fried well but a bit unseasoned. All in all, a nice place to stop at for a quick meal! read more

Delicious Food... Didn't taste oily like other places. Had the Chile Relleno & it was yummy... I still have a better place to get Chile Relleno but it's near the Border of Mexico...A bit far for an impromptu dinner... So, this is the next best... Hubby had the Carne Asada Tacos... He liked it too... The chips and salsa served before the meal were tasty. I got the Mexican Coke in a bottle because there's no High Fructose Corn Syrup in it... It's just sugar. Tried this place for the first time yesterday. We're local and really wanted to like this neighborhood spot close to us. Unfortunately, the value just isn't there. We ordered taquitos, chips with a side of refried beans, and an al pastor burrito. Everything we ordered was OK, but the total bill was over $50. The taquitos weren't any better than you'd get out of Costco's freezer section, and the burrito had the thinnest layer of al pastor, and was otherwise just a bean and rice burrito. Had lunch here today with a coworker. It was very good. We both liked it. I had beef taquitos and my coworker had a beef torta. The chips and salsa were tasty as well. The owner is a nice guy. I've driven up Washington hundreds of times, but this weekend was the first time that I noticed the red MEXICAN FOOD written on the marquis by the parking lot entrance. If you're like me, you're going to investigate. I'm halfway through 4 carne asada and decided to write a quick review while I'm still enjoying the fuck out of these tacos. mine are topped with the hot sauce (as opposed to mild) and the flavor is out of this world! Alien tacos, you dig? I saw a comedian from the Midwest tell a joke about folks from socal that are always quick to the draw with a recommendation on where to get killer tacos. Was very happy to find this place. Definitely worth giving them a try. They roast their own peppers for their house hot sauce and it's pretty awesome. Really enjoyed the shredded chicken hard tacos and the wet burrito with salsa verde was exactly what I was looking for. The food was fresh and flavorful. The staff were really friendly and helpful. This place is kind of hidden and the only reason I saw it was because I go to the barber next door. But, they can make up some really good food! There are tons of mediocre Mexican restaurants in the area and is what my expectations were going in but figured, 'what the heck' because it is right down the street from where I live I'd give it a go. I found this place recently after a bad experience from a place down the street from here. I find this place to be very clean with good tasting food which I feel is fairly fresh, well fresh as it can be. My only problem is portion size for takeout and that of dine in seems very different but the price is the same twenty dollars for a combination plate with the portion sizes is a problem for me. Tacos were literally two bites and had barely a few bits of cheese. Yes. That small. The beans tasted canned. The Chile relleno was flavorless. How does that happen? The Chile Verde burritos were so skimpy one of them only had one piece of pork. No spice or flavor either. This place won't be in business long. I've been here 5 times since my first visit. I have enjoyed their chili rellenos, the birria, chili verde, barbacoa and carnitas. Their meals come with corn tortillas unless you request flour. My wife enjoys their ground beef hard shell tacos. There are made with corn tortillas, not the premade shells some places use. We also enjoy their guacamole which is very fresh. They have two different styles of tortilla chips. We prefer the lighter chips. A couple of preference notes: Their beans tend to be on the soupy side, but they are flavorful and if you prefer your beans this way, you'll like them. The carnitas I has were quite flavorful; however I prefer mine with a bit more crisp on them. Their salsas are good and their hot salsa is HOT! Came here today first time, I don't think they have very good cooks here. I was dissatisfied with the food. Ordered some tacos, they were small and had no meat inside them or cheese. I feel like they are scamming people with there food. Very small portions and prices are expensive. I think the guy charges what he wants to on the food. I asked him to make a shrimp burrito and he stuck nothing in it, he said he was going to. I asked for sour cream but he didn't put it in it. Next I asked for a chicken taco because they said they don't make hard shell tacos for al pastor ones?? Really? So when I got home he gave us all al pastor tacos and not my hard shell chicken taco. Not only do they mess up your food, they have small portions and your hungry still for a $50 order of nothing. The drink had no ice and was very warm. Doesn't make sense. The meat is the only thing that mite be okay here, but everything else I got was horrible. Oh don't forget to get your bag of chips with soupy salsa they gave us in a cup. Over the past several months, I have seen a constant flow of people in and out of this place. Consequently, I had great expectations. I ordered a carne asada burrito. I was told (by the man I suspect was the owner) that I could not order it a la carte. I had to order it with the chips and guacamole. It's $10.99 plus tax, a bit on the high side for a burrito, but I figured that the chips and guacamole would substantiate the cost. I paid and took my food home without looking in the bag or really giving any thought to the fact that the bag was very light weight. When I got home and opened everything up, I saw why....it was a child-sized burrito at best. Some of you may remember the frozen burritos you can buy in the supermarket for under a $1, it was that size. The chips and guac that I had to order with my burrito...well, there were, and I am not in any way exaggerating, three chips. Three. Along with it was a minimal amount of guacamole. As far as the taste, the burrito was excellent. The salsas that accompanied it were equally as tasteful. However, the over all value of the meal, a child-sized burrito, three chips, and barely enough guacamole for those chips, was not good. In short, very good over-priced food with small portions.
